KOL are great. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're awful. Kasabian rocks, but Kings of Leon are different. Shoot the Runner is a great song, but it's just another alternative rock song. Maybe if you looked into Kings of Leon you'd find that they're amazing as well.
