As much as it pains me to say this what with everyone saying the soundtrack for III sucked, I actually did enjoy the fictional music in that game. Rise FM was my favorite station right next to Flashback, Head and Game. I couldnt stand MSX-FM, Lips was ok, K-jah was alright and so was Double Clef, But yes, Vice City and San Andreas's soundtracks were definetely the greatest and always will be.

I also agree that vice city is the best of the series, I don't have ps3 so haven't played much of GTA4, but I don't quite get you when you say fuck graphics and go storyline regarding the ps1 trilogy which had no storyline at all, don't get me wrong awesome game which i spent countless hours playing but GTA3 on ps2 was the first GTA to introduce a proper action-esqe storyline.

true ps1 series did not have a storyline but the other 3 did, but the original series for the ps1 is still awesome. i don't really care about graphics because i rather have a good storyline then graphics anyday. Good storyline makes the game rather then graphics thats why i didn't like gta 4 because they focused way too much on realism and graphics then a storyline. Where the others focused more on having fun playing with the game

Vice city was the best for it's music. GTA 3 was awesome for the vehicle handling. GTA 4 has the best graphics out of them all though they sacrificed the story line for graphics. Hopefully the next GTA will have awesome graphics and story line.

In terms of graphics, maturity, controls, and shooting mechanics, yes. But on a scale of sheer variety, fun, and atmosphere, Vice City wins, at least in my book. GTA IV was just too "serious" for me, and I liked the generally more lighthearted atmosphere Vice City had. Both are fun, but I like this game better.
