  • this is epic

  • AMAZING... But, the drums really keep jumping out at me... the pace seems so wild... And then the keys..... WHOAH!

  • Quality.

  • it was sometime in the early 70's when I first met John Cosgrove at Tim Nissan's house on Fredonia in the Hollywood Hills. The concepts of vegetarianism, Eastern Philosophy, and progressive music introduced to me as a teenager forever changed who'd I'd become....the edges of a... very angry young man began to soften, and a new seed began to germinate...Brian Auger was one of the artists that played in my newly evolving, soundtrack of life

  • @EDWARDLASUVIDA Ditto. Was a wonderful time to have come of age.

  • Auger worked with Hendrix...what more can you say.....legend.

  • Auger is killin it on Fender Rhodes with those McCoy Tyner-like runs ! Copped the album (yes, album) for $3.00 last year.

  • music to speed by. not that i would do that though.

  • i saw this group when I was in High School -- Steve Ferrone was drumming with them before going to Average White Band. The were just an opening act...lit Charleston, SC up with jazz funk....

  • This is my favorite BA / OE lp. can't someone upload BA / OE's cover of Maiden Voyage????

  • Great upload...thanks!

  • it's songs like this that keep my turntable spinning!thanks for the post :-)

  • back when 9 1/2 minutes of radio airplay

    meant nothing.....I love it.

  • I heared this track on Madlib's Mind Fusion Volume 2 a long time ago. It took me about 2 years to find this song. Finally! Amazing Work!

  • After finding this on You Tube I got into my attic collection and found Oblivion Express and fired up my old turntable. Still great music. Thanks Brian for your musical creativity.

  • Dude. I had an opportunity to buy a signed 12' of this album and I totally passed it up. Don't know WHAT I was thinking....

  • Great song ! thanks for posting !

Check the Live version of this song on the Live Oblivion record. Recorded Live at the Wisky a go go in 1974 with Alex Lingertwood on lead Vocals and Brian A .singing background harmonies. It makes this version sound like Velvet Qualuds.

  • Brian Auger was waaaay ahead of his time, OR maybe today's music just sucks that much when compared to back then...

  • Correct on both counts

  • LOL, I can't believe I missed this comment.

  • or both

    xD

  • @koolzainski Your right. A lot of music today just sucks. I've been listening to B.A. since High School in the 70's ('79 grad.). I've always been a fan of jazz. Brian always had his own signature sound which I have always respected him for. You always know it's Brian as soon as you hear a track on the radio or when a friend plays his music. Keep on truckin' Brian!

  • i think that both sides are correct...

  • ethereal and sooooo spacey!

  • when i drive at night i alway put this song on.

  • my dad bought the cd :D, really good stuff

  • Yup. "Here and Now" is my one of my favorites as well.

  • Darryl Fields, if you are out there ... thankx for introducing me to this group and to jazz (at Mount Union College) still love you, baby!!!

    ~Patrice~

  • This is a great song. I first bought it in college and I still have it. Brings back memories of when me and a good friend would chill out and just listen to great music. Those were some good times in the mid 70's. Keep posting tunes like this.

  • thanks so much - i love this tune so much! special memories!

  • Brian Auger is the godfather of chillout and acid jazz. Been listening to Brian Auger's Oblivion Express since the 70's.

  • Me too!

  • Thanks for putting this on, I've been searching for this one a long, long time!!
