  • deadline should have been played with more radio time because it was abad song it could have become a icon song for us boc hardliners that really got in too them deep the hankster777

  • True story, I joined EricBloom net to try and find some tour dates for them, and I ended up chatting with Eric Bloom himself on there... we chatted about video games, and I ended up getting fully addicted to World of Warcraft... At the time he was playing.. he's since stopped.. A neat guy.. a great band.

  • this is the song that made me buy the album...and then i was hooked...greatest band ever

  • on your feet or on your knees...don't miss the deadline to take the stairway to the stars to meet the great sun jester who is burning for you, equipped with the black blade, delivering the divine wind to be shot down in flames with the monsters who are teaching the unknown tongue as the horsemen arrive, don't fear the reaper and don't turn your back cuz this ain't the summer of love, it's the last days of may, as we watch the shooting shark lighting up the sky...

  • I have to agree with all who love the bass line. It is killer.

  • The end tremors my heart every time i hear this song

  • will someone make a video for this i like this song plx?

I didn't make it, but it's pretty awesome.

  • Lovely song - these chaps were indeed inspired

    .

We should all force our radio stations to play BOC because it's about 1000000 times better than mosy of the rubbish their bland DJs say is so 'amazing'

  • Martin Burch produced pop. Some of the best BOC ever...

  • I can't count the number of great songs they made, that are never played on the radio. I saw them in Rapid City, South Dakota. 1978? Standing Room Only. $16 a head. $17 if you waited til the last day. We get out of the vehicle, and everyone throws an empty beer bottle, as far and as high as they can. Not caring where they landed. A hit of red-dragon blotter each. The memories. Priceless.

  • The obscure tracks from all the so-called classic rock bands are always the best tracks on the records. This is a great song from BOC, the bass line is awesome.

  • i had this album before it hit the streets. it was given to me by a d.j friend of mine that worked at wiot fm in toledo, ohio the albums back then hit the stations long before they started getting air play. we loved this track in particular. it is whimsicle but it was nice having the bass as the primary instrument and the rest of the music built around the baseline in this.

  • One of their best tracks, and of course it's better than most so-called "classic rock" tracks, IMHO.

  • Haunting, catchy, novel, excellent vocals, and of course, superior guitar work. Just a fantastic tune.

  • This is one of those CremeDeLaCreme tunes of 1980s rock, not negating Black Blade of course. I loved this the first time I heard it, on rock radio in 1980-82

  • These guys are so good it amazes me they are not a bigger name in rock history. If only everyone else knew what they were missing. This is a particularly good undiscovered song from a great album.

  • Very true, but i like the fact that they have a solid fan base which is composed of only the true boc fans like you and me. if more people had discovered them they might have sold out.

  • Another KICK ASS TRACK from Buck Dharma & BOC!

  • I still have this album...and a few others of theirs.

Do you have The Marshall Plan? Thats a great one too! Thx for sharing!

  • I'll try to post it for you, then! My goal here is to share the lesser known songs that, I think, deserve recognition. I mean, we all love "Godzilla" and "Don't Fear the Reaper"....but the rest of the world needs to know just how much great music BOC has made.

I think "The Marshall Plan" definitely fits into that category. I'll post it when I get the chance!

  • kool thx

  • Thought someone posted the promo vid here, but I am not certain

  • Here it is, from 2006!!

  • Agreed. Calling the BOC (why can't I umlaut that O??) a one-hit wonder because they only topped the charts with a couple of songs vastly oversimplifies the band. It's such a shame that such a great band gets routinely passed over and dismissed. If anything, hearing their more prominent music should be an incentive to listen to their less well-known stuff, like this. Good luck with the "The Marshall Plan" video- that's another great song.

  • BOC had several albums that went platinum though. (agents, fire of unknown origin, some enchanted evening, and eti Live)

  • this album fucking rocked!

  • Still does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
