Kurt (Nirvana) brought up underground music overground. In the music history they splitt off the time befor and after Nirvana = Pre-Nirvana and Post-Nirvana.

And that Kurt was a musical genius is no doubt. He allways told keep the music as simple as possible. And Nirvana "killed" all this Hair-Metal-Bands. This kind of music (call it Grunge, New Wave, Punk-Rock or whatever) has changed a lot.
