Go for the 7676 Republic Gunship for several reasons:

- It's and older set, so it will get discontinued and becomer hard to find sooner than the 8038 Venator, which was released in 2009.

-The Republic Gunship is more accurate than the Venator, which is kinda "fatty".

- Both models have excellent playability but I prefer the 7676 scale.

- It prefer the minifigs included in 7676.

Well, it's a big "fatty" when compared to the "real" model, and the interior is a bit ankward, although it has a lot of features, lots of playability and you can swoosh it around safely.

A 6211 hands down! It's bigger, has more minifigs, more pieces and it's more famous, although it's not as sturdy as the Venator. Besides, 6211 is discontinued, but the Venator is still a recent model (june 2009). Get a 6211 if you can.

Hey. Sick set dude im getting it. except im doing some mods to the bomb bay. instead of the bomb bay(still build the bomb dispencer) but make it flat . so then i can put like a squadrin of clones in there and when it lands i can open it and insten army. LOL. does that sound good or bad? plus instead of palpatines room like that ill make it a cargo bay i dunno. its a sick set though.

If you have the Death Star Just leave out the dispenser and put over a panel, it looks about the size to hold the mini Tie Fighter

I depends on how much you are willing to spend. You can get the Venator AND battle of Endor for the price of the 10195 LAAT/c & AT-OT, but the latter is really spectacular, specially when both vehicles are together. Anyway, I would buy the Venator and Battle of Endor first, they are very playable and have many minifigs (specially Battle of Endor).

I think ive decided not to get the at-ot set as it is all of my xmas money and 1 months pocket money all gone so ill wait until i find it cheap or when i get a job. i might get the venator as i love the senate commandos, palpatine and the death star plans (as well as the ship.lol) and mayb an older set like the fighter tank

I prefer starships to playsets, so I would choose the Venator, but I love the Home One's minifigs and A-Wing... and Ackbar's rotating chair LOL

Well, the Venator is a big warship with a playable not so big interior, and the Home One is entirely a playset with an A-Wing. It depends on what you like. Venator has a lot of gadgets. Home One has two loveable mon calamari minifigs, Lando and Mon Mothma. Both are good sets. Read the reviews to see more details (link is in the video description).

It's a box that holds a Death Star hologram, like the one that Dooku holds during battle of Geonosis. It's made of a printed, transparent minifig head. The box holds it. You can see it in my full photo gallery. See this video's description, there's a link to it there.

Well, the battle of endor is a better set overall (more minifigs, slightly better price to pieces ratio and more accuracy to the original models), but I prefer starships to buildings, and this starship is VERY playable and cool :) (although expensiver). Personally, I'd take 8039 first because I love space ships.

You mean 7676? That's a "must-have" model, man. Get that, you won't regret it. Besides, it's a 2008 model whereas this one is newer and will be avaiable more time. I don't like 7675 AT-TE much, but it's also a good set. I would recommend getting them in this order: 7676, 8039 and 7675. I will upload a 7676 video when I can.

NIce question. I prefer spaceships over land vehicles or buildings, but, as a Lego set, really 8038 Battle of Endor is a better set. Has many more minifigs, it's price to pieces ratio is better than the Venator's, and it's more like the real thing (speeders, AT-ST, bunker, etc.), whereas the Venator is kind of "fatty". Both are very good sets, but I'd go for 8038 first if I had to choose. Anyway I'm working on a fully detailed reviews on the new SW sets. I'll post the link when tt's done :-)

Yeah, very fun. Keep in mind that it has a Technic frame inside (liftarms and Technic bricks). I also collect Technic, so that was a plus for me. I really enjoyed building it. 100% recommended.
