Confusing on cube count -- explaining that it's *only* the surface area would still leave people confused. Oh, and by the way, we represent plurals by adding an s. THe apostrophe shows ownership.
Stop confusing people. Cube is worth 1000. Why would it be worth 600? This would worthless when teaching place value. Please get your facts straight before posting.

@staticvars I agree. The cube count should be 1,000. 10 by 10 by 10 (10X10X10) is equal to 1,000.
