the video quality is great. The new cam handled the changes in light very well.

The audio was nice and clear too but the volume was a bit low.

How are you using the Olympus? Do you have a mini mic run up into the helmet or did you mount the recorder in there somehow?

I realized I commented on the audio, but forgot to mention the video! It is nice how well the camera can handle the direct sunlight, without doing weird things (glares, black spots, etc.). That's a huge bonus if you live in the desert. :-)

Did you have a hard time syncing the audio and video? Because I tried a video with an external camera and an internal mic and the audio and video would never quite line up perfectly.

The camera looks great. The audio is a little quiet though. I stopped in at a local motorcycle shop here the other day and they had a ContourHD cam there. They're asking $300 Canadian for it. I know it's a lot safer to use something like that rather than a camera stuck in the helmet but I just couldnt justify the price since I'm saving up for a Ninja.

In the meantime, I'll live my want for a ContourHD vicariously through you ;)
