  • This amplifier has a value of 300 dlls, you can say to me, for what so low value you have if it is done to valves????

Do you recommend it to me?

  • wonder if he has done a 1960 bugera yet

  • @1FISHEY I haven't seen the Bugera yet. Those amps are pretty cheap and not worth putting a lot of money into.

  • @FJAMods Couldnt agree any more, bugera flat out blows when it comes to Quality of components. seen 3 "burn up" live, one of which tripped the circuit breaker of the venue!!! however, i do own a bugera v55 aside from my 5150... and its the only bugera thats never given any problems for me.

  • awesome Kramer guitar!!

  • Come on people. Who needs a clean channel anyway. You can't rock out with clean sounds. Hahaha. If you want a clean sound just turn that knob called a volume down on your guitar silly.

  • @awesomeportal

    my thoughts exactly

  • Can you install a power in as well as a clean channel? Your webpage also says installing a clean channel footswitchable costs 275 and up, what do you mean by and up? If a person is getting multiple mods, is there a way to get some kind of a package deal? my last comment is that for the "Windsor mod" and the Ultimate 80's, you don't list what you do to the amp. could you send me a list of what changes you do for each category?

  • Put the spring reverb in the F/X loop

  • Can you do a spring reverb mod?

  • I was wondering how much extra gain can you add to the pre amp section and if you can do a mod to make it more of a high gain class A sound?

  • I know this is a business for you, so I wont ask for specifics, but have you modded it to add any additional features (switches, etc) or do you mainly do tube swaps?

Also, when you walk off stage and play the clean stuff, what are you using? I'd like to hear more of that, it sounded quite good.

How can I find out more about your mods/prices?

    Thanks

  • The mod is circuit changes, not just a tube change. To get the clean tone I turn down the guitar volume. I turned down the preamp gain as I walked by the amp too. When I'm out of site and your hear it go from clean to dirty that is all done with the guitar volume.

  • hahah walk off stage

  • what does it cost to mod the windsor in this manner?

  • Prices are on my website. This amp has the Ultimate 80's mod and the upgraded output transformer.

  • i have 2 questions,

    1. does the mod require an output tube change? if so what output tubes does it change to?

    2. can this mod be done on the windsor combo?

  • The mod makes it thicker with less buzz and you can get a clean tone once it's modded. The stock amp is too buzzy and doesn't clean up at all.

  • sounds great...

  • Hi,what's involved in an Ultimate 80's Mod,thanks.

  • It's a bunch of circuit changes that I do to give the amp a less buzzy tone with the ability to clean up using the guitar volume. I also tweak the tone to work well for 80's rock and beyond.

  • how much would it cost, and how much would making the boost adjustable be

  • do you think the stock overdrive in the windsor sounds like or similar to the JCM 800?

  • The Windsor has a little more gain than the JCM800. It's a different sound, the WIndsor is a buzzier gain.

  • also, what kind of tubes would you recommen to put in this head?

  • does the windor overdrive sound like this stocked?

  • For those who live in Lake Forest, CA, the GC there has one Windsor head there for $289.99!

This mod is amazing! Great cleans, but the od just rocks!

  • what did you do for the mod?

  • The amp has my Ultimate 80's mod done to it.

  • i watched the guitar world vid(what ever thats worth) it seems like unless you have a good effects pedal you can't get a nice clean tone. Though the distortion tones sound freakin killer

  • you're dumb.

Effects pedals dont actually clean up amps. And its impossible to get a good clean tone out of a windsor without having it modded.

  • i absolutely agree, windsor is totally capable of cleaning up, just pick a little lighter at low guitar volume and there you have it.

  • Doesn't work very well at all. Cleans up nothing like an old Marshall will.

  • Sounds pretty sick. Good price, should I get one?

  • This incredible head is only $400?!

  • doesthis amp has clean sound....i am comfused and i ambetween this and valveking

  • This amp has been modded. The Windsor doesn't sound like that stock. The Valve King has a better clean tone stock.

  • the windsor doesnt have clean stock as far as i no

Maybe they modded it to have one?

    Idk

  • sounds great

  • thats just a 1960a cab right?

  • It's a 1960B cabinet with Celestion G12T-75 speakers

  • how much?? i live in canada

  • i saw it for 400 i think, in edmonton

  • what exactly did u do to mod it cuz that thing sounds great

  • This amp has my Ultimate 80's mod and an upgraded output transformer.

  • Thanks guys! Clips of my amps will be up soon.

  • Man oh man I can't wait to see clips of the actual FJA amps!!!

  • Great Job Jerry. Sounds sweet with your mods brother.

  • Rock on Jerry, sounds good
