It's illegal in the NFL now too. I didn't know it was legal in college football until I saw the tackle just now. The situation is unusual for this play though because Vince Young isn't used to tackling because he plays quarterback so maybe the refs let him get away with one.
Young was a total bad ass , a man amongst boys in college. That linebacker got owned, look at his helmet all up in his grill at the end, ball flying out...he is lucky to not have a fumble.
