Amazing song with a simple but so clear message in the lyric - delivered so elegant.Beautiful Buffy was only in her early 20s when she wrote this song, it shows what a talent and intelligence she has. And just to be clear - this is Buffy's song - Donovan did a cover, but he did it well. And many others have done this song later, but the original is the best.

thisi isn't her only performance of this song of course. This is the first time i've heard this one--awesome. she is showing how she feels about the univeral soldier, that this really means something, it's not just a song. she is pleading--CAN"T YOU SEE? she delivers the song perfectly, every note. and Donovan's cover of it makes me cry. it's beautiful and delivers the message totally.

Buffy wrote this song...but I think Donovan sings and plays it far better...The "trill" in her voice is a lame attempt to use vibrato...and is an incorrect way to sing...from a technical point of view.
