For other people viewing this video, I would like to just add that after getting the hang of this you might want to search "Tim kelly flourishes" on youtube for more ideas.

  • thx alot for the tutriol it was very clear end excellent! Still having some problems with my left wrist, its not so flexible. Can i ask what r your clubs made of? They sound like wood.

  • wood dowel wrapped molded plastic. Thanks for watching.

  • Alright, thanks.

  • I would like to know a few club models you recommend. I am currently looking to upgrade from and old cheep trio to something more reliable, and aesthetically appealing, for a performance coming up. Thanks, I appreciated the video.

  • I prefer Renegades- 95mm. I know that A LOT of people who think PX3's are the best, too. Between those two manufacturers, I think you'd be in good shape.

  • thanks this helped a lot

  • Glad to hear it. Thanks for watchin'.

  • Apart from the bad microphone sound, this tutorial was very well executed!

I will post a video once Ive got it down.

    Thx CJ

  • Awesome. I'd LOVE to see it in action from you. Rock on.

  • Can you make a video (or include it in another one, its much) that explains and shows how to hold 3+ clubs? I want to move onto 5 clubs, but I cant figure out how to hold them! Telling me in a comment would be fine as well :)

  • I'll put that in something for you, sure!

  • Wow thanks alot. I appreciate that.

  • Amazing tutorial good job! Keep making these really helpfull.

  • Absolutely. Thanks for watching them.

  • Your tutorials are always so clear and well thought out. I suppose that goes to show that you are in the correct profession. :)

  • A very kind (and hopefully true!) comment. Much appreciated.

  • THANK. YOU. I'm SO glad you posted this!

  • Wow, thanks for the enthusiasm, MG!

  • YES! I was just meaning to learn this! Thank you!

  • Sure thing.

  • Hey! I wanted to thank you for doing this, I knew how to do flourishes, but I never knew if I was doing them correctly. Thanks for explaining it to me, you did a great job! You'll see them in my next video!

  • Excellent. I'll looking for it.

  • Wow....you gotta show me how to do that move at the end...now that was FANCY!

  • Will do!

  • You're my hero. Also, how was the juggling event this weekend?

  • You are so funny. Juggling this weekend was fairly low key. I had a nexk ache issue and the numbers were fairly small as well.

  • hell ya! i've been lookin for a good how-to on flourishes... i could never fully analyze it in other videos, you gave a good clear breakdown of what it is. great tutorial!!!

  • Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. Also, NICE bouncing vid you made, man!

  • thanx.. i'm quite proud of that one... 12 hrs have passed since i watched this video, and i can TOTALLY do flourishes now! hooray!

  • cool trick

  • really good!!! Awesome! thanks for the video!

  • Glad I could help out. You've got great skills, my man.

  • awesome i am going to work on this

  • Have at it!

  • ooo sweetness

  • oooh thanks!

  • thanks!!!!!! i now know how to flourish!

  • Glad it helped.

  • looks like a good set up for a shoulder throw from the hand that does the flourish.

  • Sure, sounds good!

  • hmmm maybe a flat shoulder throw

  • I agree with patspatrick on the pencil grip. In my experience it strains your wrist less than the fist grip or watchamacallit while maintaining the same flashiness. But it's up to the juggler of course, which feels better.

  • Cool. I like the notation about a different grip. I'll give that a try myself.

  • the best way to incorporate a flourish into a trick is to have a siteswap with a 2 (where you just hold the object) and throw the flourish on the 2. the trick that you were doing at the end was a 423 with flourishes on the 2s. i think thats the only time you can throw a flourish. somebody correct me if im wrong though. i also catch the club down in a pencil grip upside down to do flourishes. i guess it really doesnt matter what you do. it might be faster though i have no clue. nice video.

  • Excellent notes. Thanks for your additions to this.
