Can you change the settings so it will start without the horn wakeing up the neibours? It would be great for those cold morning warm ups, but not if you wake everybody up!!
I HATE push button starters. If people are too lazy to put a key in a car they should NOT be driving. Also ford is having a huge problem with people interferring with their signals. intercepting them and stealing peoples cars.. no thanks, I will keep my keys. I am a huge fan of push button starters on your key fob. but not a keyless ignition. I hope GM takes that out of the next generation Corvette and Cadillacs as well.
What kind of remote start/bypass did you use? Based on the fact that you're hitting the lock button 3 times I'm assuming you have the remote start activation input programmed for three pulses off the lock wire, my only question is since this car has a mux lock wire wouldn't it start with three pulses from the unlock button as well, since they are the same wire? Just curious.
@alperatakul1 This is not my vehicle. I work for Shore Cellular and we installed the remote start that you see in the video. Take a look at our website to see all of the things we have to offer
Hi there, sorry, after you start the engine remotely and get in the car, what happens if you attempt to start driving without double pressing the start button?
@alperatakul1 If you do not double tap the start button upon entering, but instead attempt to put your foot on the break to put the car into drive, the vehicle will stall out and you will have to start the vehicle up normally. Also, if the key is not present and you attempt to drive the vehicle, the vehicle will stall out.
@ShoreCellular So - your remote start is actually more work than just getting in and using the keyless start button! - Seems kinda redundent if you ask me.
can you put the jeep in drive with that key to? to much electonics that can fail on you

The 2011 and 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokees come with a FACTORY Remote Start already installed (at least the Limited and Overland trims do).
It works GREAT and I use it far more than I ever thought I would.

@alpertakul1 Me too, I'm thinking about getting the same vehicle. The Overland has standard remote start. From the factory. (:

I just recently purchased a 2011 jeep grand cherokee. what did you do to start the car. does that do it with every model, or is it an add on

@ccardenas5295 this is an add-on, something that was installed at ShoreCellular

@Glacies985 No, only the lock button will start the vehicle, not the unlock.

Cool, thanks for the info.
I am planning to buy an overland 5.7 hopefully within the next few months.
Assuming thats your car, hows the overall experience so far?
