She died back around 2000 I believe, sad story really-- boating accident where a restricted boat entered a dive zone and in order to save her son she pushed him out of the way of the boat path and was killed...

Brave, brilliant woman, and a fierce mother at that... so maybe you didn't know before, but hopefully you remember now.

Mate...Need to check your facts...Kirsty died in 2000. Billy's appearance on Suggs was not aired "just after Kirsty MacColl died" as he is singing Sing their Souls Back Home from Mr. Love and Justice in the other Suggs spot from the same show.

And I do understand what the verse is about. All I was saying is that he could have done the other verse prior to ending with the Kirsty Verse as he always does in concert.
