I had the privilege to attend a job expo and saw a startling trend. There are plenty of jobs available. The problem is that people are not qualified enough to be hired. Electrical companies are looking for Journey men and Masters as opposed to entry level apprentices and so on in almost every trade.

The best way to fix this in my opinion is to provide credits for education in these fields to the unemployed. The govt needs to hire teachers and open up temporary class rooms teaching the trade
