I am one who does not want the twin towers back. Let's face it people, as much of a tragedy 9/11 was, they were ugly. The new WTC complex is beautiful compared to a pair of drab, unimaginative gray pillars jutting into the sky. This was our chance to be creative and I think we did well!
You IDIOTS who want those damn towers back are crazy! I loved them as well and wish they were still here, but what they represent is a completely different era in US history. To rebuild them would not only bring back the memory of that tragic day but basically give a middle finger to the people who died that day.

To cast my vote, 2 new identical towers will not heal the nation, it will stand as a eyesore to the past and will not reflect the forward Phoenician spirit our country needs to project to the world and itself. That freedom tower design is not ugly by any standard. Moreover they have a far better looking Memorial space design in mind for the footprints. If you want to make 2, 3, and 4 there taller, you can. But the basis concept is attractive once you get past your gripe with the Port Authority .

I would like the ORIGINAL towers to be built. I know the base is alsmost complete, but it is only a base. It wasn't even chosen by the people. The money that is going into building this tower was donated by the American people on 9/11 to rebuild the TWIN TOWERS. This symbol needs to be put back into the skyline for future generations to see and so that NY can heal.
