His comedy is so precise that he can afford to sit through a class on comedy as the instructor himself is unable to grasp the ultimate prank as it unfolds before his eyes.

Cohen is the Chaplin of his era, only he takes it a step further.

I agree with your comment totally it pinpoints the whole "NOT JOKE" part of the movie, but would you really compare him with Chaplin ? Wasn't he more slapstick ? I'd say he's more like erm Dennis Penace.

The parallels in satire between the two comedians is worth noting; Chaplin had played a character clearly mocking Hitler in "The Great Dictator" . This obviously changed the rules a bit and allowed the breakthrough of comedic pioneers decades later.

The ability to play multiple roles is something Cohen has perfected, while many actors struggle to find even one working sketch today.

For me, the style of Cohen and Chaplin had enough in common to warrant a comparison. Understood if you disagree.
