This theme is definitely darker than the other DKC overworlds - I mean DKC1 is like "lul let's stroll the jungle and go bananas" and DKC3 is "vacation! fun! swim in the seas!" ---- and this one... "this is dangerous, let's beware...".

This game had some of the best music of anything in the DKC series. This one sums it up- it's so damn ominous and eerie, and it's not even a boss theme. Hell, it's not even a normal level theme. It's the goddamn world map!

The best tune from all the DKC titles imo. To this day occasionally it still comes to mind and I cannot resist the urge to hum a few bars. Just recently purchased this off the Wii Virtual Console in preparation for the new DKC set to arrive this month...I hope it, too will have the same kind of catchy beats and tunes that these titles had back in the day. 1995...what a year. Best year to have been alive :D
