Wow. Their sure are a lot of people hating on this piece. You all should be happy there's actually something for ya to check out at all. I am. As a life long sailor and MFA Cinematographer, I do like this piece. Since the piece is short , the arty opener needs to be shorter. Also, I like the tight shots, but more wides would help the piece breath a bit. I know it's really expensive, but wouldn't some chopper shots be nice.
The opener is to show off the slider moves on what I assume is a Canon 5D Mark II, not the editor. Doing cross fades is hardly showing off for an editor.
Beautiful boats. Fantastic images and quality. Amazing photography. . Too much Artsying around though. 30 seconds of abstracts and self indulgence for the editor to show off himself instead of sailing.

Photography scenes are cut too short. Destroys viewers enjoyment of boats. Terrible editing.
