good ol' fashinoned performing....I miss those days. And she was one of the ones that you could count on to give an awesome show. You just dont get that kind of performing much anymore. SHe's never compromised and she's never changed her way of performing. She goes all out, all the time. And you gotta appreciate that, with tickets being as expensive as they are nowadays. Bobby Womack is another ol' school performer that is comparable to Patti in his energy and stage presence.

she has truly never received the accolades that she truly deserves....yes she has had her share of successes, but she didn't get the love of an aretha or barbara in their heyday, she was right there with them, and truth be told. Out of all, along with Gladys Knight, her voice is still gold. Patti thanks for all the years of allowing us to love you and be loved by you. @keashle I never understand what people mean when they say that? I'm a fan of Patti's as you are, and the fact that we are fans and she has a following should be accolades enough. Cross-over success doesn't validate anything but funds in the bank. She's definitely has been sufficiently appreciated and respected - I mean how many presidents has she sang for? Let's not measure talent on commercial successes - I mean if we were going to do that let's talk about artist like Abbey Lincoln.
