Review was spot on. I already loved Ergotron equipment, but this was what I needed to sell me on the LX Stacking. And you had the one piece of info I couldn't find anywhere else - how the mounting plate met the VESA FDMI MIS-D 100/75 standards.
Just bought two of these, not sure if I want to buy a 3rd single arm for my center monitor or use one of the dual arms for a laptop or center monitor... either way monitor arms aren't what I'd call cheap lol ;P
@EvoPortal : That might be the case, but it still doesn't justify the 250+ $ price tag of the ergo version (correct me if I'm looking at the wrong price).
@EvoPortal Yes that may be the case , but they're charging 60$ for it. Although your product is of much higher quality and has more impressive feats its still 229$ (Not including shipping and taxes)!
@Farooooos Whats the point of spending even $1 on an arm stand in which you cant adjust the monitor height? The entire purpose of these arms is to have the option to easily move the monitors around.
@chetan1729 It would fall off if you rotated it upside down. you can rotate it in any angle horizontally, but there are straps to hold it down for some what vertically, if you see what I mean? For the most part, it can go either way
@yutubemedia if it's not too much work, could you post a short video showing all the angles possible? i'm especially interested in a portrait mode, and can't fathom how this device can hold the laptop in place for that orientation.

Love your reviews :) I know that the DX can handle one 30" LCD, but then I'd have to buy two from Ergotron. I'd rather get this one if it can handle 30" LCD + Laptop setup. My LCD is this - Gateway XHD3000 Weight: Monitor: 20.8 lbs / 9.4 kg Speaker Bar: 3lbs / 1.3kg Dimensions: 22.24 W x 17.02 H Your thoughts? Is the "ARM" where the LCD installs long enough? Can it hold the "weight" & "MOMENTUM" (Given the bigger size, increased length from center)
@FireworksTutorial Thank you! Took a long time. Actually it is a different camera, but a camera ive had for a long time and never use, the Aiptek P-HD.

I have a glass desk, but with a solid wood shelf over it. can this be rigged to hang down from the shelf instead of stand on the desk itself ?

two questions:
1) is it feasible to stack 3 arms for 3 monitors
2) does a freestanding base exist instead of a clamp base

Its not as good as this product but close and for a fraction of the price.

@Farooooos The monoprice stands are junk. You cant adjust the height with the monoprice units.
