I was going to watch the whole movie, but after reading the critics in how it was misrepresented i decided not to. I am deeply interested in Quantum Physics can anyone direct me to a good documentary film?

there's a lot of misinformation in this video.. not to mention a lot has happened in these fields in the last 8 years. this is garbage for non-scientists who want to understand complex science without thinking

I could see how someone might think this is bull. In fact, if i shut my eyes, forget everything ive ever learned, and completely failed to observe the world i live in, i might think its bull, too.
@noamtube Sadly at one time I would have bought into this stuff, mostly as a result of ignorance on my part reguarding science but now all this comes across as a kind of feel good commercial, which is fine, if it gives people some temporary happiness in what is a very scary world. It reminds me of "zeitgeist", the movie which was a lot of fun but under scrutiny is very flawed. However conjecture is entertaining and maybe it could lead somewhere.

@xprezitgmail I was a theoretical physicist before retiring early. It's always annoyed me when people use a tiny scintilla of science knowledge as a premise to legitimize their spiritual, mumbo-jumbo hogwash. This would be a wonderful movie to watch while stoned, but make no mistake: It's conformity with actual reality is on par with Alice in Wonderland. It's like saying 15 X 23 + 9 = Macaroni flavored Ricki Martin.
I absolutely Love the movie...it expands the consciousness, and your view of what reality is. There is so much knowledge shared in the dvd, it is amazing.

There's not enough room or time to go over the whole movie, but I'll give an example. Masaru Emoto, the guy with the fancy water. The scientific community as a whole looks at him as a pseudo scientists. He doesn't tell anyone how he does it, his experiments often are full of human error, and the Journal for Scientific Exploration proved it to be completely false. It's only fantasy. I can go further, but try Google first. If you're having trouble let me know.
Also, don't get me wrong. I watched the movie and thought it was very interesting. For a second I actually believed it. But I never take anything for face value and did my own research. That's when reality came back in. Remember David Albert in the film? He's extremely pissed of at the production crew. He claims that while he was trying to explain to them why everything they were saying is wrong, they edited him to look like he agrees with them.
@NoamTube Just out of plain and simple curiosity, since there are many Scientists, and they study various different things that seem to contradict. So here's my question, have you, yourself, spent years of study? perhaps even decades in studying Quantum Physics yourself?
There is nothing contradictory about what the scientists say. For example, when they talk about the "observer" creating a reality, they are actually confusing the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. I won't go into detail because there's not enough space to explain quantum physics but look it up.
This is pseudoscience plain and simple. My main gripe though is that, it's lies like this movie that actually hinder real scientific progress. Learn real physics, not magic.
It is only when viewed as one creation; infinity V.S. infinite nothing, And since this is and is perceived; then Everything of infinitum must exist. Therefore anything is possible if individually you choose to perceive it. Understanding that: the individual perception is but one part of an infinite whole; in which to be infinite everything must exist.
Because defined as the individual are we by our singular reality; To see another’s reality: you must become another.
As a whole all is one, whether it be simply stated as above or brought to complete complexity; wherein: each individuality interconnects, eventually into one whole. Individually, we perceive each our piece. Our senses create our reality for it is what each perceives, that for each is real It is within these lines of sense, in which we define our reality, and with their ever growing complications, are slowly strangled by them.

The meanig of life is to exist, to percieve individual paths of possibiltity, to live and be whatever you may; but the state of that life depends on the percieved possibilities within, chosen by the percieving perception. I'm saying that we all are one at our basis and whole, but individualy we each should realize the perception of a reality where all that is percived by the perciever is individually themselves percieving only good, as well as the original perciever percieving only good.
in plain terms; is it not evil when a adut rapes an infant, or anyone for that matter, when innocent lives are brought to death in gas chambers and firinglines, how about when a man kills an animal for sport or bloodlust or for only the skin on its back; or when an individual commits an act of abuse, torture, murder, vengance, extortion, or greed. Inversly is it not good when a life is saved, when u give a gift, help those in need, or protect those that cannot themselves,
but for the individual peception conciously percieving a path of individual possibilitys, the choice to act out a possibility in which another individual perception is brought to a negative/dark perception by the action of the first individual perception choosing the percieved possibility. To percieve a possibility in which the percieving individual's act enlightens or helps another perception whist not harming any other perception could be considered good.
There is good and evil despite what may have been said in this film. Percieving in time, the energy within any relating action between two perceptual points can be determinately good or evil, an act of love or compassion, vs an act of hatred or violence. Though for infinitum itself nothing is inheritly good or evil as they are but another possibility within infinity, which to be infinite everything must exist lest nothing exist, for it wouldnt be infinite anymore.
@AbductedGamer Light and dark, good and evil, Knowledged And ignorant all are just words they only have whatever meaning we give to them. also in this case the meaning we give are aproximately the same, though in translation you are correct knowledge and lack of. are more true to the actual nature of the situation, i find good and evil to be much more relateable on a personal basis and been given the same meaning, is still just as serviant to my point, if not more
I LOVE this movie! Every time I watch it, it gives me something more to think about. And with this "shift of consciousness" that's happening, it just makes it all the more fun. C'mon people, now is the time! Let's all wake up, take these ideas, and make this planet into the paradise it was meant to be! Namaste. :)
I strongly advise you research this film. It's actually done by a cult. It's leader claims to channel a 35,000 year old spirit and one of the scientists was completely misquoted and edited to fit this idea. It has nothing to do with Quantum Science and is actually pseudo science that doesn't really take us forward but actually takes us back by spreading misinformation.

Except that this movie claims to use actual quantum mechanics theory. David Albert, the physicist from Columbia, was extremely angry that everything he said was taken out of context in the movie. He tried to explain why everything they were saying was wrong and they actually edited him to look like he was agreeing. Ye, let's spread misinformation and stunt our intellectual growth so we can hear stories about magic and feel good about it. That's progress???

This movie is the biggest pile of *crap* I've ever seen! It's nothing but newage bafflegab trying to steal reflected glory from science by using its terms. I saw it when it first came out on the recommendation of an acquaintance, and it was so bad I insisted and got my money back from the theater! I've *done* quantum mechanics in college, in fact Fred Wolf was one of my physics instructors, but he's gone completely bonkers by promoting this collection of undisciplined hooey. It's disgusting!

When we observe things they respond differently in response to the stimulus we send out from our brains theoretically, as obviously opposed to when we do not observe them. So when we are not around it is possible that the waves of sound do not even manifest at all.

I'm an atheist. I just watched Donnie Darko and feel kinda depressed that this is what people spend their time doing to attempt to justify their behavior or beliefs instead of enjoying this physical, unbelievably menacing chaotic universe that we live in. I just wish people were more apt to stop and look into physics journals and *other religions*, at least... We have NOTHING. We're refusing our destiny.
Why aren't any of these thinkers accredited? It would be extremely helpful to know the names of the authors and what works they've written, what institutes the thinkers are from, etc., for further research.
It only took the one comment that religion was responsible for damaging the World Trade Center (911) to turn me off to this movie. The only cool thing in this movie is the Double Slit experiment explanation, very easy to understand.
The rest though, is just spiritualist and religious crap. its basically a movie version of that "The Secret" book. meh.

There is nothing contradictory about what the scientists say. For example, when they talk about the "observer" creating a reality, they are actually confusing the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. I won't go into detail because there's not enough space to explain quantum physics but look it up.
This is pseudoscience plain and simple. My main gripe though is that, it's lies like this movie that actually hinder real scientific progress. Learn real physics, not magic.

It's leader claims to channel a 35,000 year old spirit and one of the scientists was completely misquoted and edited to fit this idea. Except that this movie claims to use actual quantum mechanics theory. David Albert, the physicist from Columbia, was extremely angry that everything he said was taken out of context in the movie. He tried to explain why everything they were saying was wrong and they actually edited him to look like he was agreeing. This movie is the biggest pile of *crap* I've ever seen! It's nothing but newage bafflegab trying to steal reflected glory from science by using its terms. I saw it when it first came out on the recommendation of an acquaintance, and it was so bad I insisted and got my money back from the theater!
