Jin took the wrong decision staying with his wife. I mean he left an orphan girl. What example is that =D? They're saying a murderer (Kate and Ben) goes to the purgatory and then heaven? ^_^ I am ok with it, but I guess they just went too far in the plot mystery and didn't know exactly how to get out without damaging the whole show. At the end of the day tho, it's a religious tv show; always talking about believe, faith, death, letting go, purgatory, heaven, good, hell, evil, etc.

I think I was too shocked by Sun and Jin's death. I honestly didn't believe it. Couldn't believe it. I had to rewatch the episode after it aired. I think as far as backstory/development, Sun and Jin was one of the best told stories. The way you thought he was a complete jerk at the beginning but then you saw the real story unfold and watched as they rebuilt what they had previously. So beautiful.

@tsthunt yeah sun and jins death hit me the most. when sayid blew up i was like oh shit, sayid died, moved on, but when sun and jin drown, i nearly cried. maybe its the way they died. sayids death was like that, quick and fast, just dissapear, while as for sun and jin, you can say i get teary every time i rewatch it,

(not that im hating on sayid, he's a great character and a true hero, but i felt like he didnt really have a big role during the last season.

I'm the same. Back when the Episode "Ji Yeon" (season 4) aired, I cried when Sun visited Jin's grave. To this day as I watch the episode on DVD, I still cry each time. There is something about them as a couple that put them apart from the rest of those on the show. They were genuinely in love.

And in this "reality" she was married to Jack, and maybe didn't take his name, or took her old name back after they got divorced. Bc remember, in the real reality, she was stifled by her first husband and couldn't leave him to come to the island unless he got run over. (and this is kindof all from memory, so it could be wrong.)

Not only did it help Juliet to marry Jack in the Sidesways, it helped Jack as well get over his relationship with Sarah. Not only do Jack and Juliet divorce here, they seem to remain great friends. Genius idea doing that.

And Sun and Jin remain my favorite couple, so shocked at their death as I thought they would be two to survive, but this scene is a triumph over death. LOST was genius.

Juliet finally got to expirence motherhood for herself after not meeting her nephew, seeing all the moters and unborn babies die on the island she couldn't save and the hints she was pregnant by James in Season 5.

The best swan song for all the characters were these "remember" scenes which also served as a recap of the whole series. Brilliant. Except these swan song celebrated a new "life" in their death.

As a borderline atheist, I think the mere fact of these scenes is that they represent a triumph over death. What better way to end a show like this? Did I mention brilliant?

The way they trew this scenes in the finale had a brutal impact. Sudently it really felt like Lost was ending and this scenes was our farewell to the characters we followed for 6 years. The finale of Lost to me was a superb ending to a tv show, something i'll probably won't witness again. But in terms of story, I would prefer a more scientific finally, something in line with the duality between science and faith and not a totally religious ending.
