  • first low, cadence brake, otherwise much higher chance of going over. That was lucky!

  • Lol now go up it!

  • low range wouldnt have held him on that, he needed to use breaks

  • was just about to say "nah thats not steep" then it was. Oh, low range dif lockers on and1st gear and only touch your brakes, let the engine take you down.....

    ATB

  • tu hai piu culo che anima

  • Daar omhoog in natte omstandigheden is veel spannender :-P

  • Awesome

  • dude i know him my and my parent where add the land rover club holland i know him hy is my favorit devender

  • y not repeat just learn how to drive and you be fine 1st gear and no brakes espesh not at the bottom like you did lol people just panik and slam on the brakes which just make things worse lol

  • people always bottle going down hill, stand on the brakes, then disaster

  • Awesome !

  • day 19.. still searching for @churd243 's comment... running out of water

  • shoulda used the hand brake

  • @philiphuynh defenders have transmission brakes. he would have snapped a propshaft or smashed the gearbox up.

  • never hit the brake!

  • Hahahha mooi joh!

  • terrible technique..........

  • you never brake when decending something offroad, you use the engine and gears to control the speed

  • whoa cool

  • Whoopee dooopee dooo. I can do that on a BMX.

  • 0:13 Серанул наверно!)))

  • Lucky

  • low gear, no brakes. Nice show & lucky

  • that would be scary but i could do it

  • 0:13 lol

  • Yeah guys lets go down a hill with some huge fucking ruts. what can go wrong?

  • idiot!

  • je moet nog wat meer remmen prutser

  • save youre ooooooowwwsss

ooooooo wiat wait wait w w wiat

  • I love the way the driver stays so calm with both his hands on the steering wheel as things are about to go peetong. Then casually looks back at what just happened, and thinks to himself thank fuck for that and carries on, class.

  • omg faut savoir conduire

  • very bad driver. but lucky one

  • bad driven , but big eggs!!

  • tit canna drive lol

  • Minimal overhangs do it again.

  • for my opinion he got more luck than brain. he should not stop the car. just gently press gas pedal

  • That's why you dont BRAKE ON A DECENT!!!!

  • seat belts in these vehicles are a luxury item?

  • is da in nederland

  • Now go up it

  • i could do that in my soobie no problem

  • @willieG80 ok then post a video on youtube!!!

  • That thing was right on the balance point and the driver obviously didn't realise what was going on or what to do about it.

He should have gassed it as soon as it started to tip instead of just sitting there and being lucky that it rocked back.

Could have easily have been a video about a Rover getting a flat roof.

  • i would of shat myslef persnally hahah

  • he shoulda had his mates in the back so the thing flipped. :3

  • i would have panicked and masturbated loudly

  • I definately would have made the inside of that Landy smell bad after that.. Well done!

  • I woulda just floored it and cleared the whole thing =D

  • bravo !

  • Gravy maker!

  • Cool...

  • damnnnnnnnnn

  • I'd just floor it down that hill.

  • That looks like it would of been bettr a foot to the left out of the ruts. But it is allways easier with a keyboard. Low range first gear is the only way to crawl down if dont feather the brakes you will end up with a real good you tube to post.

  • Looks like he should of been to the left of the roots over a foot or so to miss that hole but of course it is a lot easier to desend a hill on a keyboard. i would like to see someone crawl down a steep hill without a little brakes as some advise that would be a video you can post on You Tube. maybe go to Utah and do Lions Back.

  • low 1 is never enough on steep descents you always need the brakes...as you feel the back tires lift you back off the brakes but you have to keep it slow...i know ive done this before...i feel safer on my dirt bike

  • we use some old pits where low 1st alone isn't enough. It's kinda stupid terrain to be frank. when you're in the seat u think you can balance the them on end but you can't - u need to ease off anchors when the sensor in the pit of you gut tells you that things are about to go to crap

  • lucky!

  • joder

  • Gotta love the keyboard warrior who really DON'T know what the driver was actually doing, is there a shot that i missed that shows his footwork and a gear selection HUD i can't see?

  • @asikelDC Anyone experienced can tell what he was doing. He was on the breaks, which is always wrong. Better to hit the ground that roll over. 1st, low, diff lock, feet off pedals and always keep the wheels straight downhill. Simples.

  • total awesomeage

  • i dont know why people say never use your brakes on a bank! that is a load ov bollocks! on a wet bank yes, but on a dry bank like that you are best just using them to keep slow as possible until the drop! then you dont use them, keep it in gear and driving foward to pull you out! low 2nd.

  • Yah not to repeat.you should not brake in that point .... lol

  • That was wrong procedure. should have set it in 1. low ratio and let go of the clutch. No brakes

  • @johanj81 you should listen to MATTYVENNY

some times 1st in low is still to fast.............like that

    no brakes...........it was goin over

  • @churd243 Wrong im afraid. exactly the brakes almost made him go over.

  • @johanj81 bye

  • @johanj81 if he didnt use the brakes, he would have been going alot faster and therefore the front end would have dug in the ground moreso than it did.

  • @churd243 the speed would have been very slow in low range, first gear, no need for the brakes.

  • @johanj81 so what would have happend if he was going faster??.....the bumper would have dug in, and then he'd 100% gone over.

  • @johanj81 that would still have been to fast probably. best precaution is to hold it from the back with a winch

  • @johanj81 that would still have been to fast probably.

  • @johanj81 he was never going to tip over anyway!!! the weight of the chassis pulled him back... Even in first gear low range the landy would have been going too fast.( Defenders have notoriously bad engine breaking because of their low compression) and he would have damaged the front of the vehicle. It was such a short decent brakes were probably the best option.

  • @johanj81 ive been four wheeling for years, if you set your gear TOO low you will flip forwards or lose control when all the wheels start sliding instead of slowing you down.... gotta match your gear carefully to the obstacle, and use the brakes sparingly to control your descent....

  • @toadecks Absolutely. I do agree.

  • on end he should leave brakes. was risky

  • Nice decent, thats what we call offroad driving.

  • Should have put the boot down!!

  • ace, bet your arsehole was twichin when that happend!!

  • I bet !
