KU had an awful schedule, beat a scrub ACC Virginia Tech team. If anything, Missouri should've been in the Orange Bowl. While the ACC has improved Va. Tech barley squeaked out a win against Cincinnati last year in the dullest BCS game ever in my opinion.

the only conference that stands a chance against the SEC is the big 12. grant it they still can't beat the SEC powers, but a 30 point beating should not occur against the top two teams in the nation like last year and the year before that. c'mon OSU... at least pretend like you can play football.

I knew once I heard LSU was playin Ohio State for the ship, I knew LSU was goin to kill the bucks. The bucks were overrated the entire year. I will admit I though that the 2006 season that Ohio State was unbeatable, but now I realize all you have to do to beat them is spread them out with speed and a mobile quarterback.

It's incredibly relieving when I'm a Michigan fan and when we got upset by App State, it turns out, basically at least 1-2 teams in the top 10 in every week were upset. Including one week, there were 5 teams in the top 10 that were upset! Overall, it was the most exciting year of college football I've seen since 2005 season, which was also really exciting with Vince Young and Reggie Bush.

Ohio State isn't going to be in the NC game this year. The only way they will is if they go undefeated. No Big Ten team will go undefeated this year.

Wisconsin will beat Ohio State, Ohio State will beat Penn State, and Penn State will beat Wisconsin. Basically a Big Ten blood bath.

WVU lost twice all season; their first loss was in "Week 5"; their other loss was while they were ranked "Number 2" In A year of the No. 2 rank curse the national champs were ranked No. 2 in the preseason-- One of the few times a 2nd ranked team won was in the championship game-- the only time No. 2 was the underdog.

wow fate was really for these two teams, both these teams are lucky to be where they are. ohio state should be number two heading into the national championship with barely any chance of winning and lsu shouldn't even be in the national championship game. if dennis dixon never went down then oregon would most likely take home the national championship this year.

I am a tiger fan, and I liked Dixson and the Ducks, but I dont see how you could even say that after how the ducks fell apart without their QB... watch the SEC championship game and you will see how LSU played without 5 of its 1st team... out second and 3rd teams hung on the defeat Tennessee. I think WVU or MIZZOU had a stronger case than Oregon. and how can you say that a team wiht "barely' a chance of winning even remotely deserves to be in that game? w/e bud.

Actually it wasn't just Dixon that Oregon lost. Before they lost him they already lost their top 2 WR, their back up RB who got a lot of carries and in a lot of people's opinion was a top 10 RB last year before his injury, and their second string QB Nathan Costa. That's just the offensive side. On defense they lost their top two LB including the defensive captain, a starting DL, and a starting CB. By the end of the season Oregon played their 5th string QB who was on the scout team.

Don't say LSU had more injuries than Oregon because that is just a lie. If you though LSU was fast then you would've been in for a big surprise if Dixon never got injured and they went up against that offense that featured Jonathon Stewart who benches 410 lbs and runs a 4-3 40. Dixon also in the first game of the year outran the fastest player on history on a 80-yard touchdown run. No way LSU would've been able to run with that Oregon team without the injuries.

Another thing, not only was LSU lucky to get into the NC game with two losses, but they were lucky that they got to take on a weak Big Ten team that should not have even been in the top 10. If they were to take on a legitimate opponent like USC, then the Pac Ten would've finally proved how overrate the SEC is. And anyone who says they think WVU and Mizzou had a stronger case than Oregon is just plain out of their mind. Oregon was the true best team in the nation and Dixon was the true Heisman.
