I was driving in my pov and got paged to a house fire. So I turned on my lights and siren as i went to pass the car that had pulled over for me the asshole behind me pulled out and passed every car i did. I wanted to stop and punch him in the dick!!
I wouldn't make a left turn on a protected green arrow because I was waiting on an emergency vehicle to pass. The asshat lady on her cell phone in an X5 BMW behind me wouldn't stop honking at me.
One day we were responding to a structure fire and this one guy would not pull over. Turns out it was his house. And another time, we were responding to a car crash on the highway, and a Canadian driver passed us...people these days.
Great video, May I also add, that even though 1 emergency vehicle has passed by that there aren't more right behind it, just like in the last clip. So before continuing on your way, double check please. :)

Our service now only runs less than 10% code 3 runs from the station with EMD, it is just better to be alive than 2min faster.

My dad is a fire captain for San Bernadino county and he sees idiots like this all the time! It just so happens that my Uncle is a San Bernadino Sheriff and he sometimes follows ambulances and fire trucks from a distance to catch morons that don't yield to their sirens. Take the hint people, is it worth around $1000 bucks for your stupidity?

@001looker cops can issue tickets for not yielding to emergency vehicles. that includes cops, ambulances, fire engines, etc. know the law b4 u act like an asshole.
notice in the first video depicting people yeilding to Fire Apparatus properly and the only video demonstrating yeilding even at a green light, it was Toronto Fire/Rescue. Canadians, at least in my part, are the most proficient and common to pull over and yeild to Emergency Vehicles. God daymn! I am proud to be Canadian!

Not possible, the ticket is issue to a driver and not registerd owner. As such unless police vehicle witness the violation and puls over the driver, ticket can not be issued.

I couldnt agree more with you! Im a volunteer firefighter in Maryland.... unfortunately... i like 3 miles from my firehouse and it takes me 9 minutes to get there because no one will get out of our way regardless how many fire engines fly past. NOW PLEASE PEOPLE... IF YOU SEE A BIG VEHICLE COMING AT YOU WITH RED LIGHTS AND SIRENS....... MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We arent back there doing it for our health!!

Props to the drivers at 1:50, you know they know the law when they pull over even though they're going the opposite direction. Most people just don't seem to realize that every now and then we have to take oncoming lanes to get around traffic in our direction.
2:15 - 2:35, they need to let the Q wind down some, it's more effective that way...
Great video, though I'm not a big fan of the song...

Ummm, reality check folks. That stuff happens every day. When we "light`um up", we paint a giant target on ourselves. It`s up to US to make sure we are safe. I understand that other drivers can be idiots. BUT, we have to assure our OWN SAFETY and not be idiots ourselves. Folks, if we don`t get there, we sure as hell didn`t help ANYONE.

for the the wrong side of the road where i live if you go across a solid median in any emergency vehicle (cops included) you may recieve fine or suspenstion unless absolutly needed

i was driving and there was a firetruck coming in the opisite lane on a 2way street. i pulled over and the person behind me honked at me and passed me, making the firetruck have to stop and swerve to the side of the road... luckly there was a cop car hiding infront of me.

I think people tend to "freak out" when they see an emergency vehicle. They quickly think "what should i do" and kind of panic.

Yeah actually the other week I had my music so loud tht i didn't hear the emergency vehicle coming straight at me. Basically almost got hit and I felt like the Biggest Ass Whole on this Earth got pulled over, but cops saw tht i understood the gravity of wht i did. Turn you're Radio's down And Pay attention 2 the Road.. Great life lesson for I
