  • 58 people are afraid of losing themselves.

  • God there awesome

  • It's all about the time and talent invested that creates a dividend such as this.

Years of experience make it possible to align a synthesis so desperately needed today.

A song such as this let's us ride the wave of pleasure and can leave us speechless.

  • What Clapton does at ~ 3:16 is simply amazing stuff; even he couldn't help but to shake his head in awe, at how incredible it sounded! ... Stuff of LEGEND, indeed.

Clapton and Winwood really play great off each other, too. ... Windwood's voice has remained remarkably intact, after all these years. ... An EPIC video, all around.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Shear perfection

  • Anybody know if that amazing tone is a Fender Telecaster Thinline, what a beauty!

    Thanks, Steve

  • None better than these guys :)

  • This is my life's Sinatra, granted; but not much more. Sorry. And there are many others: ELP, YES, Floyd, but I'm not going to go any where toward comparing a full classic orchestration or piano movement to the relative importance of a popular song. I have no objection to the adoration of this music by the soon to be retired set; but it unfairly still seems to dominate the culture; like Elvis and ShaNaNa did beforehand. Strip the lyrics from the music you adore and read them.

  • @reposage I reply as someone who had studiedclassical music from the age of 3 and am now the soon to be retired set-or already retired dependent upon the colour of the political party in power. No point in comparing genre with genre. Classical music has left little of quality in the late C20th. Most that is of quality and enduring is in the realm of jazz. Do people really want to get high on Serial composition or Schenkerian analysis-I think not.Yet such a rich body of rock has been given us.

  • @reposage - you make quite a valid & interesting point reposage....I'm not sure this music "unfairly" dominates the culture, although it certainly runs deep within it. More to the point I'm not sure which "culture" I even live in

I listen to The Planets by Holz almost daily to activate my mood/feel. Other times I may have to call on Hendrix & Band of Gypsies,Albert Collins,Savoy Brown or Mavis Staples.

"Soon to be retired set"..hahaha true- but sounds like a metaphor 4 death ! Peace.

  • Steve's guitar looks like it's from Rockband

  • i go into a dream where it is peaceful benevolent benign compassionate loving kindness we had such hope for a better world ....................... the music rolls on peace

  • What's that guitar Clapton is using? It's pure beauty.....

  • I swear its even better here than on the 33, and I never, ever say that. Pure magic.

  • This song mesmerizes me..

  • one of the few I added to favorites and then watched

  • amazing. Simply amazing pure clean music -- listen to those notes!

  • My god...I think it moved...lol

  • @LedHed65 hope you made it a fav. Found this a while back. Since you like Led, ck out Robert Plant singing Crazy Little Thing Called Love at the Freddie Merc tribute concert...

  • Too much going on here. This song sounds best clean, simple, and closer to the earth.

this stellar group of musicians demonstrates perfectly how to sit back in the groove … it's all about the song … no flash …. no heroics needed … willie weeks / bass steve jordan and ian thomas / drums

chris stainton and tim carmon / keyboards

michelle john and sharon white / backing vocals

doyle bramhall II and derek trucks / seamless rhythm guitars

and out front steve winwood and eric clapton revisit and renew this old classic of theirs perfectly … amen ...

  • Amazing performance.

  • tell my story........

  • :-O

  • Winwood is a highly underrated performer...and the addition of Eric Clapton to this is just phenomenal...thanks for sharing this!

  • @svrhodes77

winwood is the most underrated genious of the last 50 years... really. he is an amazing singer, guitar and keyboard player, musician and composer.

  • @hungerstriker27 i agree entirely......he is classic material.....i went to see him play , with steely dan in brisbane this year, @ sirromet winery........he hadnt played in aussie since 20 years back........it was a total honor to see him play ..!!! thanks steve, your a legend ...

  • @archillesheel1 lucky, steely dan and winwood.

  • to Heath

  • I can see myself at 80 + years old and still rocking out to these classics....And I'm only a fresh mid 40's now. The classics "never" get old, and neither will I !!!!

  • YA ITS ALMOST 50 YEARS OLD, AND STILL GOING STRONG. SEE WE KNEW WHAT WE WERE DOING. THANKS GUYS. FOR SHOWING THE WORLD THERE HAS BEEN AND STILL IS GREAT MUSIC OUR THERE. EVEN IF ITS 50 YEARS OLD.

  • @MrSprite69

Can't Find My Way Home" is a song written by Steve Winwood that was first released by Blind Faith on their 1969 album Blind Faith. Rolling Stone,

  • Wow, what is it about Winwood? been at it for over 60 years and nver dove into dui and needles and bad marriages, scandles etc, and has always had a great voice and pumped out SUPERIOR music that whole time!! WOW

  • CANT BELIVE THIS SONG IS ALMOST 50 YEARS OLD!!

  • @koldfushen

You are correct, thats all that nees to be said. thanks ;-)

  • The Great One!

  • Great song. But am certain the bass line could get a little more responsive on this song than shown here..

  • Fantastic! Beautifully played soul guitar.. Thank you x

  • Every time I watch this video I wanna start licking things

  • Song just makes you feel good all over!!

  • Whats not to like about these two. Brilliant in everything they do.

  • Music like this has to find death like that of 50's diner's music or it will not ever yield to new shopping mall fare or revolution. Love it to death, but it should have reached the inspiration for new music point by now and gone away. Relive your childhood by supporting younger folks singing similar songs without the money of Winwwod and Clapton. The songs start to sound a bit hypocritical, NO?

  • @reposage Seems like you just want to hear yourself or something..If you can find some new artists that we would be willing to spend our money on tell us. But, I am not willing to spend my money on music or concerts for most of todays artists. Bunch of manufactered voice box, rap crap, hippity hoppity bubble gum artists. With a few exceptions whose music are we to listen too or buy?

  • @reposage Do you suppose that applies to Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and all the classics too? Make way for something new? We'll be gone before these classics are. Look at Trucks and Bramhall up there. They're the new artists who will breathe new life in these beauties when Clapton, Winwood, and all the people who grew up listening to them have left the scene. If and when the younger folks do something worthy of this, we'll listen.

  • @buckfan1969 Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @buckfan1969 I agree, if you notice a lot of the new bands today cover one old song or another from back in the day, lets just hope they can sometime come up with some greats of their own

  • @buckfan1969 for ever and ever ... amen ...

  • @reposage -mate I relive my childhood in the knowledge that these guys were only a few years older than me when I "discovered" them & Winwood was barely out of his teens when he was with Spencer Davis Group. They have endured & left a great legacy & I doubt they're opposed to young talent succeeding. If there is an audience the music won't die. BTW I took my 16 year old grandson 2 see Jeff Beck & he loved it-my son introduced me 2 some great Hip Hop & Reggae & I introduced him 2 Blues-win-win !

  • @reposage Sir/Madam, I think your logic is as flawed, as saying that I should look at another car-maker, and not own a Mercedes-Benz, as they should have "gone away" - Don't you think that experience and an enduring passion in what someone is doing, count for anything? I heard Cee-Lo Green on Radio2, live from their studio, a few days ago. The presenter was lauding him like he was Sam Cooke, or Marvin Gaye. To my ears, he just STANK. Couldn't carry a tune if it was written down.

  • @reposage .... jesus, what a pompous ass you are ...

however, i must give you your due ... very few of the trolls that

post here can stoop to your level of pretentious twaddle ...

    you have a gift ...

  • @MegaPatriot123 " am sorry i got to this site....I CAN'T STAND CLAPTON."............dude that's ok, just groove to Steve Winwood & Derek Trucks & chill.

BTW Eric reckons you're a tosser too, but I told him to give you another chance so he said ok fair enough Mal..if he's a genuine patriot he can't be too bad....now what's next on the playlist ?

  • Winwood & Clapton are all smiles @ 4.46 ..........because they know they have just played a perfect rendition of a timeless song...........Blind Faith .......the 1st Super Group !!

Can't get any better than this my friends !

  • @MalThorgan actually cream was the first supergroup, clapton and baker joined blind faith after cream broke up.

  • 59 people are deaf

  • They're smiling because they know how good they are!

  • Where is the "LOVE" tab? A song played this masterfully by the masters needs a "LOVE" tab.......not just "LIKE".

  • DUPLA ESPETACULAR.

TANTO NO GOGÓ QUANTO NA GUITARRA!

    MEUS PARABÉNS!

  • "Music like this can neither be Imitated, nor duplicated"

  • Spec-tac-u-lar. This is THE best version. Love it.

  • 58 kids dislike this because, they tought the "Dislike - Button" Was this-i-like button.

  • LOVE Derek Truck...what a performance!

  • who is the 4th guitarist

  • This is great! Too bad Ginger Baker is not on drums .

  • @MrShoeman21 i agree with you, but don't forget Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix and Carlos Santana... but i agree with you. Fantastic trio!

  • @MrShoeman21 wow that would be great, ginger on drums

  • Can anybody show me three better guitar players?

  • @davidmacewen John Mayer. Don't deny it; it is true.

  • @Mekratrig

basS player is Willie Weeks. One of the best

  • Stevie - The Sweet WHITE SOUL MAN!

  • Who is the base player?

  • Damn! Awesome!

  • RIP Doyle

  • Regretfully, I have to agree, really tasty performance.

  • E Freakin' Epic!!!@#*&*+++++%>}

  • Damn, this is just good!

  • Absolutely love this!! My favorite version of this song...!! 58 dislikes from seriously disturbed people...what do you like in GOOD music...never mind....

  • @grnh2girl 58 out of 2.4+million ain't too bad grnh2

  • @rogerrrubin You're right!! I've seen much worse responces...and sat scratching my head in awe!! :)

  • whoever was the live recording sound engineer needs to be duplicated

  • How could anyone dislike this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • The guitars run around each other like happy children

  • Love this! Very good quality! Thanks!

  • Eric Clapton è inimitabile : NESSUNO è come lui !!!

Il video è bello e di eccellente qualità.

    Molto bella la band.

  • wow! what a great concert!!!

  • 2,370,939 Hits. I wonder who the other 939 people are? :-)

  • I've already given my positive comment on this but I had to add: Steve Winwood just always looks like he's having such a great time, enjoying himself that it lights up the whole performance - not often you see Eric so happy. Oh, and I should also add that this video prompted me to ask for the DVD as a present, now received and I love it.

  • love the 1:56 - 2:00 lick

  • brilliant...

  • I have to check out this video @ least 3 time"s a day.

  • home is everywhere, you don=t have to search, it=s within yourself

  • clapton wished he had winwoods voice

  • @dupes69 lol, and a million others.

  • It don't get any better............

  • Californication brought me here S03E04 :-D

  • 58 dislikes to 6,603 likes is to compare a drop of fresh water in a salty ocean.

  • The 58 people ho have disliked this do not diserve ears!

  • That's great. So sweet. Might be my imagination but there seemed to be so much that passed between Steve and Eric a few seconds at a time as they were trading off guitar licks.

  • oh, yea. wonderful.

  • I know this sounds crazy but nobody I know appreciates this stuff for what it is It drives me nuts . Thank you for sharing the joy of GREAT music. I mean it is perfect for the soul. Eric is one of the greatest gifts we have these days.

  • who's the lefty?

The arrangement is definitely goosebump material. I'm not impressed with the 3 background singers (on this number)

  • @dickbalaska .....The lefty is Doyle Bramhall Jr.....one heck of a picker too.

  • We will never again have this kind of music, lets be blessed that some of us could and have witnessed it...Its a new era, but i'll stick with my old one and the values we had back then..

  • If you like Derek Trucks you have to check him out in this you tube video.

The unbelievable Derek Trucks "Chevrolet" instudio WRDU

  • do you hear Derek guitar come in @ 0:48 wow.

  • As a member of the "Baby boomer" generation, Its our responsibility-personally, to pass it on and educate. I share the hell out of this stuff and it pays off. I get lots of responses from kids...

  • I am from that time and believe in both Clapton's divinity and Winwoods talent in and out of bands. The beauty, skill, and presence is just so right.

  • you would have to travel to heaven hell and back for a true bit of music like this::)

  • @kencleland No .. not at all. I love Clapton. I mean some of the garbage that passes for music with the younger audience these days.

  • OMG!

  • CLapton is GOD

  • this song gives me goosebumps.Freakin AWESOME!!!!!

  • 58 people know fuck all about music

  • EFFORTLESS FLOWING BEAUTY

  • ridiculously beautiful

  • Absolute bloody perfection.

  • What kind of ride and hi hat cymbals does the drummer use? Is there someone who can say it to me please? Thanks

Quali piatti ride e hi hat usa il batterista? Qualcuno può dirmelo per favore? Grazie

  • I love that little nod that Steve gives Eric at the end.....

  • Like if Fresh Meat sent you here!!

  • @SFSylvester what was the version used in fresh meat? im confused because it sounded like the original but then it didnt

  • i love it !!!!!!

  • Always loved this song,,,this is a great live version,,Claptons guitar and Winwoods vocal,,,how could you not love and appreciate that ?,,really wish there was more of this now day's,,playing the guitar is about taste and feeling ,,not how many note's you can cram into one spot !!

  • As I have written elsewhere, Clapton is good, but Winwood is freaking awesome. He is as good today as we was 40 years ago!

  • I'm from that time and I have seen most of the greats, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Country Joe, CSNY, It's a long list. I knew and used to hang out with Richie Havens West coast lady, Barbra, she was a seamstress for the bands. She made clothes for all of them and we used to smoke hash at her house in Berkley. The smell of good weed, incense and tear gas in the air. Street Fighting Man, much fun except when getting beat by the Oakland cops. Free love for sure. LOL

  • im not a big fan of this version. It sounds way to country when the original sounded soulful and real laid back, its missing its 60s 70s feel. now its commercial sounding

  • @NDionneG005 I think I know what you mean ... and maybe you're right ... somehow, but I like the way they play it here, the shuffle thing, you know.

  • @NDionneG005 to each thier own,I like them both ,they tend to do this because they are differant than they were oh 35 + years ago ,they cover themselves. And I would say this is Jazzy not county and it is slick becuase they are ...GOOD ..any how good tune

  • @HTMAINT1 I guess man, but i hear zero Jazzy elements in this song...maybe you should listen to more jazz and then listen to this song again. Im just critiquing hard caz im doing a 9 page project based on this song so im analyzing the life out of it

  • No doubt Steve Winwood is very versatile ,outstanding musician, That one reason he and Eric compliment each other is their breadth of talent . I see less of that kind of capability in todays breed (for the most part),becuase of todays musician being Niche focused..I saw thier tour in Vegas a couple of years ago and it was ,at least as good as this ...if not better

  • I do believe this is the best version I've heard yet.

Lovely tune, GREAT vocals (front and back) and Eric's bluesy leads put this one out front.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Incredible!

  • Imho i think you should change the title to "Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton and Derek Trucks". And thanks for sharing! :)

  • Clapton always gets more publicity, but Winwood has had an equally long musical career that's just as impressive, he can play more instruments is under rated as a guitarist, can adapt to more music styles and he in my opinion is a better singer.

  • sweet sounds

  • This song has always been in the back of my head for years. Now all of a sudden it really affects me for some reason.

Steve Winwood is one of the best, but I'll bet he gets tired of playing it over and over!

  • Perfection!!!!!!

  • 56 dislikes?! These people need help --- maybe or maybe not. For me it is one of the best YouTube videos altogether, not only due to the music itself but because of the excellent sound and video quality. This video shows the real great artists. The band is superb as well.

  • @EggeDelfDE I agree, but that's democracy :)

  • @nokopekfilms Yes, and after all music is also a matter of taste. But still I cannot understand it :(

  • Why does it need 4 guitar players, though?

  • @frauirmabunt I guess the same reason there are 2 drummers and 2 keyboardists, a lot of subtle intricacies

  • was this in Dallas? if so, I was there in 2004 - what a great festival. ZZ Top was the last act, we waited all day and night and then they had to pull the plug due to a thunderstorm that rolled in during their set. But, what a great day - some great acts all day and night long.

  • Love female backup, but not these. Great song!!

  • Enjoy the song

  • Masters at work......

  • I hate the people that got to see this concert.

  • שני ענקים ביחד

  • Music doesn't get much better than this

  • best song ever

  • It's stuff like this that made us all go out and buy stereos so long ago. And headphones.

  • @buckfan1969

No - it made our parents buy us the headphones so they could get some sleep !

  • whats not to like if this was a hockey game it would be like having 10 bobby orrs on the ice

  • 56 ppl has navigation

  • Could do without Clapton's voice. Winwood takes care of it fine with the back up chicks.

  • blind face with god
