@nedalnekbrad Actually, this is why I enjoy the Brave and the Bold Batman. At there, he acknowledges all the aliens and craziness around him and uses it to help in his crimefighting (with all the super-tech and stuff he uses) and the somewhat lighter tone keeps him human rather than the grim, bitter guy. Heck, we've already had at least one character who's suffered worse tragedy than him (Martian Manhunter) and isn't all grim and bitter over it.

I loved the rest of this. McGinnis doesn't have a chance until he starts doing things his own way and stops listening to Bruce Wayne. While the Joker may be Bruce Wayne's opposite, McGinnis has no such disadvantage and is able to get into the Joker's head a bit better than Old Wayne ever could.

Joker has it right, Terry sucks. He tries to go tit for tat against the Joker cracking wise later, and his taunts are on the same juvenile level as "I'm rubber and you're glue". Joker, through some bad writing, actually finds this infuriating instead of pathetic. Not behavior becoming of a character described as "if death could wink and smile" by Paul Dini, who strangely enough, worked on this.

Disappointing, since the Death of the Joker scene was so good.

1) Bruce Wayne is not dead; he's retired (watch Batman Beyond episode 1; at the beginning, they show why he retired i.e. a heart attack during a mission that almost killed him)

2) He didn't CREATE a child. Someone injected his DNA into someone else because "Gotham will always need a Batman" so when that "someone else" mated, they passed on Bruce's DNA, not his own.

He beat the joker by playing at his temper by mouthing off to him. Terry is resourceful but not a detective. His thinking is more like Dick Grayson's. He is only 16 so of course he is gonna get his ass handed to him from time to time. Thats more realistic because boys have a lot of growing up to do before they become men.
