Does it fly? Looks nice. Perhaps pva is better for glueing balsa than cyanoacrylate (?) probably lighter and stronger in the long run. If you put CA anywhere near a canopy it mists the plastic, ah well, I hope to see her flying. Lysander was a great plane for dropping secret agents in France.
@GerbilEssences Yes, it certainly does fly.. :) Yes, PVA might well have been better, but what I used worked, so that's good.. :) Yes, the Lysander does have some very interesting history.. I am most amazed at the very, very short landing and take-off distances!
@MrJezza31 Well, yes - we did fly it a few times, with hardly any wind (which is good for a test flight), but the wings were not accurately aligned because with this kit of the Lysander, the wings come in two sections, as you saw - so aligning them so they are at the exact same angle is very differcult and takes time. I also noticed that the rudder was not perfectly straight.
@MrJezza31 ....Because of all these minor faults, the plane did a sharp right-hand turn + a nosedive resulting in a small crash which I won't post.... I fix all the stuff that's wrong, THEN take some footage.. :) Thanks for asking anyway.
What's the piano intro song? Nice model!
