@faunoram Thanks and fyi, I am just now uploading a redo of this song. The new one has tighter sync and better video. It'll be finished posting in just a few minutes. See ya.
Ladies and Gentlemen, after a year of fuking around, I have finally started working on editing QPR Gates Of Delirium with audio from the Jersey show . After the first minute or so I can this this will be a bitch. but it simply must be done. Keep an eye out for the post. :-)
@mabn9393 Well, it's not the whole thing, but just finished "Gates..." and posted as a video response to this. It's in two parts, and if I say so myself, it's better than this one. Used video from the dvd. Enjoy.
I still don't understand how the mix from that QPR 1975 video got so screwed up. There is NO WAY it sounded that way to the audience present at the show. It's almost like a toddler got control of the soundboard and started randomly sliding the knobs without rhyme or reason. Then the people who made the video did nothing at all to correct the audio. It's incomprehensible!
@tonusaitis yea it sucks when i got those dvds years ago i was very dissappointed of just how shitty the sound was. Sometimes u would only here just the guitar and drums or just the keyboards and bass god it was horrible. I cant believe they even approved of realeasing that wit it sounding so shitty
Phenomenol job, IYAMNI, at adding superior audio to (what I presume is) the Tommy Gun Video of Sound Chaser. The synching is amazing. Great Video on YouTube, in fact, one of the best!
There's an awesome live version of this on "The Word Is Live". It's from Detroit 1976. Obviously, it's pro live album quality, so you might wanna consider synching that up with the QPR vid. But this was very nicely done, much better than the original QPR version. Good job!
@jpirard Hmmm... I'd need some better equipment. Maybe I should try and dub another one from QPR.... let's say Gates Of Delirium? haha. Give me about a month... or three. ;-)
If youtube had come out in 79, this video would have 50 million views. Damn technology. Instead, cat playing the piano has millions. Yo, what about Moraz he actually plays the fuckin thing. I fear we head more toward idiocracy each day.
It is obviously impossible to parallel these two performances exactly, you did a fantastic job nevertheless. More importantly to me was the opportunity to hear that track from that very show which I attended 30 years ago; my first concert ever of many to follow, and the most enjoyable ever. Thanks for the great memories... Now I have to find a HQ copy of this entire show!! Thanks again!
So you were there. Awesome whow. This was the first Yes tour I ever saw, but I saw them in San Diego that year. I hadn't heard Relayer yet and was completely blown away.
@Moreoff Hey man I was there too and it was my first big arena concert too and one of many to follow. What a magic experience and the sound was great when we were there so such a shame the recording mix was such a mess. I never forget the performance of Topographic Oceans and of course Close To The Edge. Wow this was now over 35 years ago but nobody can scrub those memories until the final sleep comes.
Hey everyone, a new, improved version of Sound Chaser has been posted to the playlist. Same audio source but better video and tighter sync.
