anyone who doesnt have the dvds, buy them now not just because its historical but you will rething everything you thought you knew about sleight of hand when you seen this, he is so anal about ever move looking 100 percent natural youll think hes crazy and then he'll execute a move and you wolnt believe he did anything, i was fooled by a simple retention coin vanish, i thought he lapped it somehow because theres just no way he didnt put it in his hand. amazing.
Well, invisible thread is not actually a sleight, nor is the chop cup, they are gimmicks.
But I am pretty good at the DL and the pass. It doesn't matter that I kiss and tell on YT, the only people who read these threads are magicians and student magicians. If I tell or not has no relevance because when I perform them, they are hidden in the routine and by misdirection so the audience don't know.
P & T once exposed the palm and then Teller fooled the specs with a palm in a routine so go figure!
It's called educating and helping new magicians, the same as any magic book or discussions at any magic club (if you have ever been to a magic club that is). I'm assuming you actually can perform and are not just a layman.
That's fine but this is magic that we're talking about, the one art where we DON'T go around educating others. It's secret brainiac. And i'm the VP to my local I.B.M chapter. I can choose to teach or keep my magic undisclosed there bc we're ALL magicians. You guys should wear a mask and get a job airing all of magic to FOX. O wait, you'd need experience for that.
Yes it's fine to help other other magicians. The only people who watch this kind of video are magicians. It's amusing to see the more unenlightened ones get their knickers in a twist over a few harmless revelations.
Post here any tricks you want help with and I'll tell you how they're done!
Ah well... not so of course. They said TV would be the death of magic, they were wrong. They said the Internet would be the death of magic, they were wrong. They said exposure sites would be the death of magic - it is thriving more than ever despite 15 years of "Internet exposure". The net offers new opportunities and magiciaincs have used that to reach new markets.
As for magical skills I have many, including not only sleights, but an understanding of the way magic works (which you don't).
For every 1 of my channel comments, I have 100 grateful private messages asking for information and I gladly reveal/expose effects to any magic student who asks.
As you will know the IBM allows discussion of magic among magicians and what goes on here on the comments or PM's at You Tube is no different to any magic club. ( I presume you belong to a real life magic society, although some of your comments just suggest you are an armchair hobbyist)
They were just examples of effects we can expose together. Tell me what effects you want exposed and I'll expose them for you and the benefit of the magical education of readers of the comments to this channel.
We can help the new magicians out with their questions!
By the way, I'm not presuming what you do know or not. Your comments that magic will be dead due to internet exposure, show no knowledge of recent magical history. Go back 30 years and review what has happened again (and again)(and probably again in your case), until you get it).
Good luck with that. You do need some guidance in these matters but intrinsically I don't feel you are a bad person and beyond saving.
So, further to our conversation, have you thought what effects we are going to expose on our new "Magic Exposure" You Tube Channel?
Lets go for some big exposure to help new magicians. I've got a few ideas already!
Maybe we could expose some David Copperfield illusions Eg Wires to assist flying, use of stunt doubles or mirrors. Or we could expose Chris Angel levitations, pulling a woman in half or walking on water!
It's no good removing your comments. They can still be seen by the You Tube admins. That's if I decide to report you for personal attacks, vulgarity, and community TOS violations, that is!
He obviously isn't suggesting against learning the rules. You must know the rules before transcending them...otherwise it isn't a choice, you're just mucking around like an unnatural idiot.

The craftsman knows to obey all the rules. An artist knows which rules can be broken, and how.

Listen to what he's saying. Rules in ART can be broken. I could elaborate on this but in this case NUFF SAID!

Magic Tutorials:
1. Double lift - You lift two cards as one
2. The Pass - Secretly transpose the halves of the deck. Gets their card to the top
3. Chop Cup - Magnet inside the cup. Makes magnetic ball disappear
4. The force - Magician forces you to chose an object when you think you can chose any one
5. Invisible thread (IT) - Thin nylon thread used to levitate and move small objects
6. Greedy Magician - Someone who sells minor changes to old magic principles claiming they are his "copyright"

I think we can start a magic channel where we expose effects to help new magicians!
You post an effect, and I'll tell people how it's done. You wont believe the amount of secrets I've revealed on YT !
Stigmata: Scratch your arm before & the blood will fill the the scratch when your wrist is held. Force a card that matches the scratches to reveal it!
Mindbender: Wet the back of your hand and the water will curl the card!
Indecent: The card is stuck on the outside of the bag with chapstick!

Maybe he tells the audience exactly what he does. But they don't believe it anyway when they see what happens afterwards. So it doesn't matter.
If it leaves the audience more puzzled than before, I think it ads to the effect :)
