Because this happened in 2004..old news.. the guy who did it(Copple) was an acquaintance. He is nuts. The cops had his DNA on day one, taken from cigarettes and blood that he left at the scene, a kind only HE smoked, but it took them a YEAR to get the DNA results from the lab. He had had an arg w his gf, got drunk, and attacked one of the girls cuz he thought she was breaking up his relationship. Cops should have solved this in a month.

..the guy was the fiancee of a friend of the murdered girls. That was how he was an acquaintance. The BIG story is that it took the cops an entire YEAR to get DNA results from their lab.
