This game is actually good, you can play through the story mode in single-player, or you can play battle mode against any other player who is currently active on another machine. It's like the original game and Deathmatch rolled into one with a cheesy attract screen.

Valve AND Taito developed this. Taito published it and provided the Windows XP "Type X+" arcade system. They also make a certain board used for pachinko.

Japan is all about arcade games and less about first-person-shooters. Combining the two, especially if near/in a casino, could slowly popularize Half Life and FPSs in Japan.

And it's an arcade game, of course there's going to be some gaudy praise system like HIT! HIT! DEFEAT!
