I like the L5 better, the others do not have the learning function and sometimes from 65000 remote codes happens that my TV remote is not on the list, also you can create macros and control 2 or more devices with the touch of 1 button.

Great review...I have a IR repeater system and would need to carry the remote to different locations...For mobility i believe the L5 is a bit better...With the learning function you can program any remote.I'am planning to use it with a Ipod touch besides the case not fitting did it work good?

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the review of these products for us. The only thing I guess I would have liked to have sene the software but it was just a bit off screen. But I appreciate the effort nonetheless, if you haven't found anyone to pass in the Beacon to, I would love to have that puppy! Please let me know what I need to do get in the running for that. @rwilleyrn Glad you liked the review, Actually I will be updating this review or doing another. Gear4 Unityremote Vs Griffin Beacon if you haven't ordered yet don't till the review gets up hopefully tonight! or Tomorrow Unityremote and Beacon are similar but one is clearly better.

I appreciate the effort you put into your review. I agree with your comments. If you get a chance, you should try the NewKinetix Re. It is the original 30pin port accessory and has been available under continuous improvement for 18 months. It works with cases, has a database as well as learning, works anywhere w/o Bluetooth delays and signal issues. The latest release supports the iPad full screen. It has very powerful combination activity remotes and unlimited macros as well.
