  • At 1:00 I'm not sure what you added. Sounds like spice sauce. Please let me know what kind of sauce you are using so I can enjoy these suckers. Thank you

  • @cajunmane82 he said Hoisin sauce :)

  • Wow, I can't wait to try them, you make it look so easy thank you so much!

  • I've made a ton of these with ground pork and home made kimchi. Think I'll try this recipe. If anyone is interested in a different dipping sauce, just message me. I have a good one by Anita Lo. Can give you a quick and easy kimchi recipe too if interested.

  • YUM!

  • Thanks for shareing they look delicious........will try tonight

  • wait these arent that authentic.. shouldnt u use garlic chives and sake in the mix. the cabbage is too thick too and some soy sauce should be in the mix too as well as corn starch

  • You rock Kai thank you so much for this video.

  • I can't wait to try this; I have a Chinese friend and he doesn't know how to make this and he's too lazy to ask his own family on how to make this...

I guess that's what happens to anyone born and raised in the United States =)

  • what was that yellow thing you put on the pot sticker to seal em ?

  • @WeibchenLuv Beaten eggs

  • Aw man, I thought I could so do this.. and then I saw the way he sealed that thing at 3:28. He's got serious skills. But I'm still gonna try- I'm glad those sheets come in packs of 50!

  • Thumbs up Kai..

  • I could eat 20 of those!

  • What is the name of the song playing at the beginning ???

  • Are those similar/identical to Gyoza I been eating in a japanese restaurant? They look quite the same

  • I just made a batch of these, they were really good. Warning, though, this amount of ingredients makes a LOT of potstickers. Fortunately they freeze well when raw, but I think the next time I make them I will halve the recipe.

  • i love your vids and kai so u = SUBSCRIBED

  • looked good -thanks for sharing

  • i love your accent :)

  • Thanks! Well done! GOD Bless!

  • i dont eat pork, can i use beef?

  • God bless you Kai, you make some awesome food!

  • This is the RIGHT method to cook! Absolutely! Specially if frozen it's the ONLY way to cook! Brown it, steam w/water let water dry then perfect. This is exactly what I learned from many Korean, Japanese and Chinese parents I have met all my life. Good tutorial!

  • They were my favorite food when I was in China...now I finally know how to make them! 非常感谢!

  • Hi i wanted to know what kind of chili was used in the sauce if anyone could please tell me thanks.

  • thanks for sharing.. i love it...

  • 2:40 OH SNAP KAI!!!! That's a lot of fish sauce...i always thought a few drops would suffice :O

  • Thanks! That looks yummy. I'll bet the meat/veggie mix would be good just in sauteed meatballs (without the wrapper), too.

  • wrong cooking method....well not traditionional .... your not supposed to add oil... you are supposed to let them "stick to the pot" before you add the water.... and you should add chicken broth or stock to add more flavor....

  • @K22productions so what !? it tastes good! that's all it matter. My grandma cooks different than your grandma, that doesn't make my grandma's cooking method wrong you idiot

  • @soldierslady2504 sorry man i wasnt trying to insult you....i was just throwing that out there....the recipe is awsome...its actually the one i use myself and i really apreciate your help..

  • aren't u suppose to boil it first then fry it.

  • thanks man for posting this my little sis loves this stuff! but =.=' there so expensive to get premade. now i know how to make'em she can get here fill hahah =D

  • 5:01 to 5:06 is hilarious

  • is it still crispy after putting in water?

  • @hihomedogs potstickers you fry and simmer, dumplings you just plain boil.

  • i thought u boil pot stickers til the waters gone

  • i love eating these in restaurants, and always wanted to try to make them, definitely trying this, thanks!

  • instead of hoison sauce, can i use oyster sauce?

  • You guys would need the special flat pans with compresure to cook what is so called Pot Sticker. Oftenly it is cooked with more oil, so better to server it with chinese vinegar to make it taste not that fat.

  • thank you so much!

  • Good video.....I make them in a very similar way......they're fun to make.....

  • do i have to do that type of fold where its rippled or can it be jiust plain

  • @doggirl622 no you can the plain fold, just make sure to squeeze them together very tight, so theres no holes ore something

  • i really want to make these! :D

  • those look great! just one question. what kind of chilles did u put in?

  • @ltkman I can't seem to stop the wrapper from filling up with the pork fat and juices. When it's done cooking... all the juices burst out. Do you use lean meat?

  • Great KAi!!!

  • Thanks Kai your awesome I was just thinking about making these

  • Thank you for another great video Kai.

  • i love your style kai, and you have alot of passion to.

  • Dumplings are boiled, and pot stickers are fried and then are boiled (sort of). Pot sticker; water is completley boiled off, Dumplings; water is just boiled, no evaporating what so ever

  • can someone please tell me the name of this song Ive asked like 1000 people.

  • @pinkle03 The song is called: Din Din Wo by Habib Koite. I know because I spent ages asking people too.

  • want nao!!!11

  • That's how my mom and I make these :) So good and easy!

  • Theres a restraunt called Dot-Wo. They have must have Pot Stickers there.

  • awesome

  • Cool! I always wondered what those things were called.

  • awesome, Kai you make it look so easy! (and good) I notice the rooster in your information, were you born in the year of the rooster?

  • u need to hook up with anthony bordane and start a show.

  • anyone know of a low sodium/sugar dipping sauce?

  • hot sauce

  • I really like that simple syrup sauce. Thanks Kai

  • Heres a different method for cooking,

Boil them first(this will insure the meat is cooked)

then fry them this will leave the outside nice and crispy.

This method is probably faster too, instead of waiting for the water to evaporate.

Also you can make a lot of these as they freeze great.

  • I've been trying to figure out how to do the folding aspect. I plan to try this, but with ground turkey being I don't eat pork. Thanks for this video.

  • Thanks, Kai, looks terrific.

  • excellent as always, kai. thanks for posting.

  • Never tried them home made, but when I try them store bought I follow instructions to a tee and they allways have excess water in them no matter how long I cook for it too evapourate (b4 burning them of course) maybe it's becasue they are store bought ???

  • This is my favorite so far...thanks so much!

  • isnt it called tao tsie?

  • My brother has the same name as you !

    but he spells it "ky"

  • wow another good food! yum yum :)

  • what did you mean only brown one side? i understand what you mean but when would you do that? looks great =)

  • looks good, does it work the same for beef? i don't eat pork

  • @muncleike yes. but pork is delicious.

  • @muncleike yes it will. it all depends on the taste. if you like the taste of beef, then go for it .

  • Amazing! You always make everything look so simple!!

  • Nice you did my favorite dish! At my local i order a Pork Pot Sticker meal like once a week! They are really amazing!

  • these look delicious!

  • Hahaha I love the picture of you with the guitar and the pan. You're awesome Kai !!

  • Thank you so much I always wanted to know how to make those stickers!

  • I love these!

    That's why they're called potstickers!!!

    You're so cool!

  • this is basically gyoza right

  • yes, gyoza is the japanese term for it

  • Yum...making these very soon. Thanks Kai you're a star.

  • looks great... i think ill try it sometime

  • gah im hungry now

  • Thanks so much...must make this very soon

  • Haha, Wanted Pot Stickers. xD

  • no because it depends on what is inside the dumpling that determines what kind of dumpling it is.

  • because thats not what they're called...dumplings are a type of biscuit im pretty sure

  • good video. Did you say Hoisen sauce or Oyster sauce? I couldn't tell.
