@rololoo I spent 2 months in Stockholm and everyone there had one of the most impressive english i've ever heard. Stockholm might be an exception but I really don't think so. The Swedes are really good at english.
Wow, I know a lot of sweden is fluent in english but DAMN he is REALLY good, I mean, if you ran into him and didn't know who he was you would think he was from america.
@Dungarth Yeah, but that doesn't mean that they don't have extremely thick accents. The only thing that's mildly surprising is his relative lack of an accent.
@antibulletdodger101 Ok, sorry. I do not have any experience whit finnish, but Norwegians and Swedish do (except our politicians, and Petter Solberg (It's not the fart that kills, it's the smell - fart=speed, smell=expltion)).
@dirtboy188 Yeah and he also writes the lyrics for every Meshuggah song. I speak fluent English and his lyrics are miles more beautiful than anything I've ever written.
Swedes are clever enough to know when you belong to a country of about nine and a half million, you better learn the most common first world language if you want to get by.
In fifty years, people will most likley be watching westerners speak on you tube and commenting how good they speak Mandarin or Spanish..
@rololoo lol, says the guy from finland where basically no one can say more than "hello" and "yes" in english. that and spaeking the most awfull sounding language on the planet
@9fifty5 Nah man, not in fifty years, no chance. It's going to take longer than that for us to watch as much Chinese or Spanish TV as we watch American TV today (especially since Chinese TV is so different from ours!) , which is the main reason we are good at English. Same thing with games.
Plus, English is a relatively easy language, unlike those you mentioned.
I wish that all Swedes would not give a flip flopping fudge about their mates English. Question: Can the dude you're talking to understand you? If yes: Good game. Do whatever you're doing at that moment.
i agree with dimaanddima i'm a metal vocalist into heavy metal but really can do anything accept for screaching ... everyone just says you should go into classical music and make money in weddings ... @DimaandDima i have to agree with you, people would say that if you listen to metal you actually wana kill your self the next minute, but they still lack something called taste... I'm not saying they lack taste, i'm saying they don't know what it is... It's because each person have a different taste. Thumbs up for DimaandDima
@DimaandDima But some are. It's usually not a good idea to generalize. There are incredibly educated metal musicians, but there are stupid people too. I think there are highly intelligent musicians in pretty much every genre of music. There probably are some very intelligent Emo or Hip Hop artist. I like music because it sounds good or because of the feeling or meaning it conveys or because it's powerful and passionate; not because of its genre. (That's why I really like Meshuggah)
@DimaandDima Depends really on what kind of metal..
These guys are not really playing metal. They're playing experimental prog jazz. But it really is metal per say.. They're not schooled metal tho. They're schooled in jazz. Atleast Fredrik is anyway
@MrFlue hey dude please dont think im stupid but i have never played any instrument, i always hear haake does polyrythm drummer meaning it different and saying some like he does 4/4 for a drummer what does that mean? does it means hes really different then other drummers?
Well, he always plays in 4/4, like if you listen to his cymbals etc. he's always repeating 4 beats.. But on top of that, he does alot of other stuff with the other drums that doesn't "fit in" the same way :p
you can't put it really like "different" it's just verry hard to do rythms like 6/8, 12/8, 13/12, 13/8. most drummers play in 4/4 bars. Haake can do al the pollyrythmical rythms one after an other and eventually come out in 4/4 bars again. I say that is amazing
