  • my moms minivan got 7.2 secs... and its 8 years old

  • @ajazaad Yeah but you want the 2.4L if you dont have a alot of things to tow or haul. I would get the 3.0L V6 because I got things to tow and carry. Even though im 14 years old. LOL.

Im getting a Rendezvous between 16 and 18. Loaded CXL version too. Well I hope.

  • yea this is good , whenever u buy a suv ,, buy 2.4 L version if u wanna save money on gas.

Otherwise 3.0L is just for people like me always in a hurry lol :P

  • thats a damn shame

  • My 2.2L I4 in my Saturn Vue is actually quite powerful for what it is, and I love having a 5-speed suv, it's pretty rare.

  • why is everybody saying its acceleration isn't bad... i clocked 10.1 seconds, i think that's pretty bad lol

  • @coolerdude44 Because a full size SUV with a V8 does it in the same time and gets less than half the fuel economy.

  • GMC Terrain: 2.4L I4 182HP 172Torque 32mpg

    Audi A4: 2.0L I4 211HP 258Torque 31mpg

    Conclusion: GM sucks...

  • @musubi69 Wow, comparing a crossover SUV to luxury car starting at $32,000. That's pretty stupid. Not to mention the GMC SUV beat the A4 in gas mileage according to your figures. Which is exactly why GM put a lower horsepower engine in.

  • @sportsfreak800 My point is how much extra HP and Torque Audi can get from a smaller engine, compared to what GM can get from a bigger engine. With basically the same fuel mileage... So obviously GM can do better... That's all I'm saying. I take back "GM sucks", I just want to see them do better.

  • @musubi69 Ok, I see what you're saying. But I still think if you put the Audi engine in the Terrain (which is a larger, likely less aerodynamic SUV), the gas mileage would be lower than it is now. Just because it's a larger engine that gets less power, doesn't mean its inferior. It is likely tuned to be able to get the increased gas mileage.

  • I think its badass

  • Why did you test a Terrain and an Equinox with both 4cyl and you didnt test the V6 engine ?

  • @SuperMat64 We test whatever shows up in the driveway, when it shows up. With luck, we'll get to test the V6 down the road.

  • 9.7 seconds, FYI

  • We can say GM is the first automaker to make a less raspy and buzzy 4-cyl. engine.

  • please do a 2011 Kia Sedona with the brand new 3.5 engine with the 6 speed tranny. The 2010 models have the old 3.8 with a 5 speed, and I would love to see the difference with the 2

  • wow... first gear is a dog. lol

like the tach in the terrain though

  • That is pretty good for a 4 banger, when you consider this car is probably relatively heavy. I meen that little four has to haul around all that 4wd equipment as well. I test drove the v6 though.. and if you want power then get that one. it doesnt feel underpowered at all.

  • This car is ok for everyone. Nice fuel economy.

  • Wow, that is one noisey motor!!

  • whyd the RPMs get up to 2500 before it started to move..

  • Brake launch

  • they only use 4 cylinder so they can advertise 32 mpg, i think anyone who acually buys this thing will get the v6 260 hp i think, waaaay better

  • wouldn't a small engine have to work harder and therefore consume a higher ammount of fuel??

  • suvs should not have a four cylinder!!!

  • OMG, I was thinking the EXACT same thing! Frickin economy these days! That was so embarassing to listen to coming from a utility vehicle. Even if its compact, 4cylinders in these vehicles should be a crime.

  • well they gotta do what they gotta do.....honda and toyota have had 4 cylinder SUV's for years, so if this is a way GM can survive, then let them have at it

  • Well, GM is trying to meet CAFE standards. GM was fine in the Truck/SUV market. It was their cars that were lacking.

  • in the truck/SUV market??? that is the reason why GM lost so much money....theyve always relied on those sales to keep their business going strong, and it worked until gas hit 4 bucks a gallon, and people werent buying those vehicles anymore...granted, i drive a Silverado, and i love it, but its hard for me to afford the gas right now as it is, so i might have to get a car eventually, and its nice to know that i can still buy American and not question the quality of the car

  • never mind, i see what you were saying...you're right. sorry, i've been sick, so theyve drugged me up lol

  • I love these. There interior is so futureistic, and the outside, once your used to it you love it

  • Damn. what was that? like 10 sec?...that thing better get like 35 mpg with a 0-60 time like that

  • Close. The FWD I4 Terrain is rated at 32 highway.

  • so you could probably squeeze 35 mpg. id still prefer my 99 cherokee with t/b spacer, k&n intake. 0-60 in about 8 sec on a wet road. 22 mpg city 24 hwy

  • Or close to it, at the right speeds, with the right technique. It's all good tho ... I test everything, 'cause everyone needs something different. :)

  • @mpgomatic do you haeva ny videos on Pontiac Montana

  • @prckay Unfortunately, no ... the Pontiac Montana went out of production before we had the opportunity to test it. (We only test new vehicles.)

  • @mpgomatic oh ok are you able to test one maybe.. would be neat to see ... IN canada they ran until 2010

  • Why would you compare your full size suv to a mid-size? No one cares what you have done to your jeep. Any excuse to brag about his/her own car.

  • how the hell is a cherokee a fullsize suv? its prolly a little bit smaller than a terrain. i wasnt bragging, i was comparing. whats the point of the commentsection if you cant comment on stuff????????????/

  • You have every right to talk about your Cherokee. I have a 97 XJ myself and I love it dearly.

  • @cyerbyandmarge what city do u live in that your cherokee gets 22 in the city. not in nyc lol. maybe more like 11mpg in some real city driving

  • definately not NY. it would probably get about 17 or 18 there though. when ive traveled iv been in towns that have a lot of stop and go traffic and never got below 18.

  • @cyerbyandmarge maybe in your dreams it will get 17 or 18 in nyc lol u r dillusional!

  • @cyerbyandmarge our 2.5 altima gets 17.8 in nyc according to the mpg reading. in suburban cities it gets 22.5 and on the highway its usually 30 mpg depending on how fast u drive. i did manage to get 32 mpg in mixed driving with light pedal. tank lasted me more than 550 miles and the gas light wasnt even on

  • @cyerbyandmarge

Are you talking about the Inline 6?

  • @cyerbyandmarge 22mpg city? wat city lmao! my friends cherokee got about 17 mpg in the burbs!!

  • @occckid123 Country town, never any stop and go traffic and 2wd. I no longer have that Jeep. Got a 4x4 cherokeenow, and it dosent get 22 mpg. Im lucky to get 21 in it on the hwy.

  • @cyerbyandmarge You also have to keep in mind, this is a large vehicle, and it's being pushed by a little 4 cylinder.

  • Soo many gears, so much mass!

  • 10 seconds wit a 2.4 and suv?? lol my 96 protege 1.5 4 cyl does it in 9 and its got 92hp FAIL gm

  • Your little Protege is a car that weighs like 2,500 pounds, maybe, so I would hope it could get to 60 faster. I would rather have the Terrain even if it is 1 little second slower.

  • 1900 pounds and my car has more style than this piece-o-shit

  • I would rather get in a car wreck in this car than a Protege.

  • i would rather no get into a wreck at all. thats y ive been driving the protege for 3 years and no wrecks although ive seen many dumbasses wreck not me cause i drive smart.

  • thats pretty good for a small 4 cylinder and a decently sized suv

  • @cerwinvegafan Nah 2.4L is actually pretty big for a 4 cylinder. a small 4 cyl would be like the 1.4L found in the chevy cruze.

  • quite slow

  • yea but for a 2.4 and being that its placed in a small SUV and geared for economy its not bad, GM didnt make this so people can win races with it

  • @biffnacid Yeah I agree. I mean, it's got the same size 4cyl. as my midsize sedan, which does 60 in about 9.5s. So this really isn't bad at all considering it's a small SUV. Although, by today's standards, 10s to 60 is glacial. Love the sound of that 4cyl. though!

  • see, i like this better than the equinox. i think it looks beautiful

  • Exactly the same as the equinox.

  • Considering the size of the vehicle and the size of the engine not to bad at all!

  • ahh, I cant wait to see the review.

  • jeez could the rip off vw any more with that gauge cluster?

  • i would consider one! I think i like the Equinox slightly better

  • I think the Equinox looks miles better.

  • The screen on the gauges seens cool and is very accurate!!! For a 2.4 engine and beign a SUV is guess the acceleration is good.

    cheers

  • 9.7 seconds. So far, thats the slowest 0-60 i have seen on youtube.

  • 83 Ranger Diesel-57sec

  • You haven't seen an accent LOL, I have proof that its slower every time I drive, but 0-60 isn't everything, my cars power is at the low end where it actually matters :P
