  • Quadi-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah ki azmat is musalman ko bohut yaad ayi ho gi jab iss par mavaaliyon ne attack kiya ho ga....

tum log jo MARATHAS ki greatness ka charcha kar rahe ho, aur keh rahay ho k iss muslim ne ghaddaari ki hai, iss ne tumhaari language ko insult kiya hai, zara history uthaa k dekho....

Yeh MARATHAAS sakht harami log thay, jab TIPU SULTAN tiger of Maysuur was fighting blood sucking BRITISH, marathas ne sab hindustan k ghaddaaaron se milk kar TIPU par bar bar attack kiya...

  • What a shame? Is this a civilised Marathi culture..I believe Marathis are much tolerate than these uncivilised.

  • Mai bhi gunda girdi kar sakta tha!! haha lekin gand phat gayi...

  • ..And I thought principal official language of the Republic of India is Hindi???LOL!

Grow up Maharashtra!!!! What "ignorant" Maharashtra consider as "outsiders" are the ones who worked their ass off to "develop" and "transform" Maharastra!!!!

  • Nothing will change if u hate us. U r hated by everyone in India. No Marathi has contributed for India let alone Mumbai or Maharastra.

Also by reading ur comments u look like a 17-18 year old time lad.

U urself are resposnsibel for miserable conditrion of mumbai, not only mumbai but also Pune.

Also improve ur english, better write in language other than english if u dont know english. go to school (if u know where it is).

  • @ orceller : u r not marwari cause any marwari will not take interest in this issue, they r mainly in to their business ......

I am Marathi (Originally Maharathi) and am not afraid to say that

u must be bihari and ashamed of telling that to others ....... hahahahahaha ;)

  • I have written that I was born in Bihar, i m not ahshamed man, you cant decide who is superior or inferior, our states dont have money because of caste politics, which has been started now in ur state too. if you read articles in reputed journals u will find that maha is soon going to become the next West Bengal. Hyderabad is now becoming new financial capital. Reservation has marred the development of these states. The SC/ST category people dont work and get money without doing anything.

  • hahhahahaah !!!

u said am an american u didnt say u r an Indian at all. u should be ashamed for that.

my prediction were perfect and i know my other prediction is also right that u must be cleaning toilets in usa :D

and ur state dont have money not because of the caste politics but because of people like u.

keep cleaning the toilets .... love from India ;)

  • Dont lecture me you stinking pathetic marathi....do u have trouble comprehending english then you can switch over to hindi as per your conveniece....WHEN DID I SAY I AM AN AMERICAN?.....dont u marathi pigs get tired of lying .....and lying in sewer....ur state must have more money....but definetely because of u .....atleast we clean toilets but u live in those slums.....

u marathis are slum dwellers and u earn ur livelihood by picking rags.....

had it not been gujratis u would have begging.

  • I have already written than I was born in Bihar.....so u never predicted that....its quite obvious....are you marathis fools by birth?....looks like you are...lol

  • Comment removed

  • so it means ur full time job is to write comments here?. This is not how railway exams can be cracked. We migrated to other cities thining whole of India as our own, but now bihar has got 11% growth rate - prooving that they have much more in them!!

    - proud to be born in Bihar.

  • oh really !!! hahahahahaha wish u luck !!!

u dont understand when some one says sorry thats called bihari !!!

    lol

    u made me poet !!! (my new job/talent) ;)

  • sorry to say but media portray Raj as he is against all north Indian states...... they didnt even show or tell what abu hazmi said or how bad were his comment were (if u see it neutrally ... abu has started all this) thats why i say media is turning in to paparazzi .... sad very sad.

  • I know that media blamed Raj too much. But the problem arose when Marathis and not Raj Thackrey started abusing N Indians, unaware of the fact that all the wealth is n the hands of Gujratis and Marwaris.

  • Even today the state is called Maharashtra read carefully rashtra and not pradesh or khand. Shivajis daughter was married to a Gujjar from Rajasthan. The king of Vadodara in Gujrath is Gaekwad a maratha. the queen of Indore in MP was ahilyabai holkar. the queen of jhansi in UP was laxmibai karadhe.

  • You dont anythiing else to say apart from Shivagi and mumbai?. even small tribes from India had their local heros. in N India there is a hero in every lane. by the way ...you seem to shy away from debate. offlate it has been noticed that marathi`s are hiding their identity to escape from humiliation. you have brought this on yourself. now its very difficult for a marathi to find good indian friends. by the way more billionairs live in new delhi than in Mumbai. Also Noida has metro operation.

  • u r misguiding others by taking delhi in the picture ....

delhi is a different state ..

i guess Raj was talking against UP (Uttar Pradesh) and Bihari people and UP and Bihar doent mean whole north India, there r Jammu, Kashmir, Panjab, Himachal pradesh too which r north indian states.

  • Delhi was part of UP is u know history. Also, delhites are all people ftrom UP. The rich migrate to areas around Delhi, the poor and middle class still stay in west part of UP. After all every society has rich and poor people.

  • @orceller Please go to Noida since it has a metro. Well I believe you are not listening. I have been talking about India that is today being the maratha confederacy. As far as Chattrapathi Shivaji maharaj and the marathas is concerned, it is true, I will never get tired of talking about them. For that matter any freedom fighter. they are my heroes. Mumba devi's Mumbai. jai Mumba devi. May Mumba devi bless you with subudhi.

  • As I have already mentioned in one of my previous comments Marathas ( originally Maharathas) were ruling over the entire India that is today.

Their capital was Pune and their language was Marathi (originally Maharathi) and their confedracy was called Maharashtra and they were devout worshippers of Mahadev.

  • what ended their rule?.......please go and look for third battle of panipat. . "The main reason for the failure of Marathas was that they went to war without good allies."

"The Marathas developed an over-bearing attitude towards Jats and Rajputs. They interfered in the internal affairs of the Rajputana states (present day Rajasthan) and levied heavy taxes and huge fines on them."

  • @orceller The battle of Panipat took place in the 1760s in Haryana where the marathas had already won before against Timur Shah. This time there were many casualties in 1 day. That battle and not a war against Ahmed Shah Abdali from Afghan was lost because Raja Surajmal from Agra or Bharatpur from you UTTAR PRADESH BETRAYED the Marathas at the last moment. Another set of betrayors the Rohillas under some ud-dalla from Avadh region of UTTAR PRADESH fought for the afghanis against the Marathas.

  • Marathas nevr won against Timur Shah (son of abdali), they just scared him away with their scary faces. You have the habit of winning only by outnumbering. You were so dependent on Rajputs, Jats, oudh, rohhilas that independetly you lost the war even when it seemed like you would win all because of your indisciplined army.

  • these people (bhaiyas) does the same thing as chines did before war with us ..... "Hindi chini bhai bhai"

bhaiyala dili osri aani bhayya halu halu pay pasri !!

  • @orceller That loss is very important for the Marathas because for years Marathas had not lost a battle leave alone a war. The British hype up this loss in the history written by the British, which you so love to read, because it is demoralising for the Hindus. Even after that loss the Marathas came back, finished the Afghanis and conquered Delhi by 1772. Then there was neither Moghul nor Afghani. But as I have already mentioned in previous comments they ruled from Pune.

  • "Moreover, the senior Maratha chiefs constantly bickered with one another. Each one of them had ambitions of carving out their independent states and had no interest in fighting against a common enemy."

This is true even in present time when you fight among yourself like talibans. You quarelled with S Indians in 1960`s, now you have quarelled against N Indians. But that wont improve the rate of unemployment among marathis.

I know pune was your capital, mumbai was given to u on pity.

  • @orceller And they ruled over the whole of india that is today well into the 19th century. the rajputs had become the slaves of the Mughals from Akbar's time itself. So there was no INTERNAL AFFAIRS. the marathas freed the whole of north india including Rajasthan, the Maha-Punjab area( punjab, Haryana, Kashmir, Himachal), the uttar area and ruled over it. After getting freedom the smaller RAJAS AND NOT THE PEPOPLE became greedy as usual and hence BETRAYED the marathas.

  • where were you when the great Rajputs were assembling against Gauri?.....where were you when N Indians were fighinting against Britishers for independence?.....you fought with everyone...and you got what you deserve.

  • @orceller .... betrayed the Marathas so that they could rule as individual kings again. Anyways there is a history of betrayal in the North region. Pushyamitra Sangu the minister of Samrat Ashok murdered the heir of Ashok after Ashok died and usurped the throne and again India got divided because he was defeated by other smaller kings. Jaychand betrayed Prithviraj Chauhan who was Jaychand's relative and the arabs under Ghauri got a kingdom. Surajmal betrayed Marathas.

  • Already replied.

  • @deepak201 brother, do u not agree with history that Marathas formed alliance with the Blood thirsty BRITISH Imperial and other GHADAAR Rajas and Maharajas just to fight against "TIPU SULTAN the tiger of MAYSUUR"

Marathaas cant claim to be great, they betrayed their motherland Hindustan, when Tipu and his father Haider were fighting British who wanted to capture Hindustan, MARATHAAS did monsterous treachery and joined the British!!!

They r making language an issue, like their record is great!

  • @orceller Mir Jaffar betrayed ud-dalla against British. So the rajputs you are talking about are were not Rajputs they were slaves of the Moghuls. the marathas gave them freedom. So there is no question of allies here or internal affairs. The marathas collected "chauth " which means 1/4th one-fourth as tax from all over their empire which was what India is today. Chauth means 25% which is much less for an empire than what Indians in a democracy pay today.

  • Rajputs were warrior class, unlike marathis who mostly are shudras - untouchables. thats y they have hostility against brahmans. Probably you dont know I know hostory more than what your whole clan knows.

  • HOSTORY ??? hahahahaha

    how u know that ??

SHUDRA'S USED TO FUCK UR COMMUNITY WOMEN THATS WHY? ;)

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !!!

  • @orceller So tax and internal affairs are just excuses of these opportunistic little betrayors

  • You never maintained any friendly relations with anyone, upto this day.

  • The Sikhs from haryana read Ala Singh fought with the Marathas in the battle. later when Marathas won dilli in 1772 a Sikh was made the king of the Punjab region. Finally Ranjit singh was the king of maha punjab. Infact the Sikhs even have the same flag as marathas have "The Bhagwa".

  • The fight of the marathas was for the Hindus against the atrocious Muslims. Even Muslims like hyder ali fought for the Marathas. The Nawab of Bengal and Hyderabad had accepted the rule of the marathas and were paying chauth to them.

  • media is not doing news reporting any more and its turning in to paparazzi ... sad

  • @orceller:

U CAN NOT BE MARWARI FOR SURE .....

    CAUSE ....

TRUE MARWARI CAN NOT SPEND SO MUCH TIME AND WORDS UNNECESSARY (WITHOUT GETTING PAID)

MARWARI CHAI MEIN PADI MAKKHI KO BHI PHEKNESE PAHLE CHUS LETA HAI ;)

  • abu azmi bloody chit shud have been dead

he was accused in bomb blast bloody ass hole

    will die soon

  • Therefore the languages of Europe, Central Asia, India and South East Asia are all derived from Sanskrit as has been proved scientifically. Hence if we want to have a national language for identity or use it must be Sanskrit.

  • Hindi took precedence over other languages of India because it was the official language of the most powerful part of India i.e. the centre and the central government and hence gained national dominance. And right now America is the most powerful part of the world and few decades back England was the most powerful empire. Therefore English is gaining dominance as the international language. OnceUponATime Sanskrit was the dominant language in the world because India was the most powerful nation.

  • The reporter said Hindi is our raashtra bhasha.

EXCUSE ME. HINDI IS NOT OUR NATIONAL LANGUAGE. The minister needs to do some basic homework. Don't force people to accept some North Indian language which is spoken in only four states and that too in some parts.

It is one of the 25 official languages of India. Hindi was made the official language of the union government by the then Prime Minister Pandit Nehru.

  • @ orceller

marathis r not slum dwellers dude

choose ur words before u speak against them

put those olympic medals in ur ass

mumbai earns for india and its

considered as GDP and contributes towards the world

  • Keep Mumbai in ur ass. You marathis own nothing in mumbai. 65% of the people speak marathi, and 55% live in slums. if all the 35% non-marathis are assumed to live in slums then %age of marathis who live in slums turn out to be = 55-35 = 20%.

I havent considered gujrartis/marwaris/parsis who owns 80% of the wealth of mumbai. If I consider then all 55% of slum dwellers and rag-pickers will be you marathis.

go back to pune, that was what your capital was.

  • I am not a marathi and am brought up in Bombay. I love bombay, and i did learn marathi in school. I never spoke marathi after that. I dont need to. Since Im an Indian I just need to know Hindi/English. There is no need for anyone to speak marathi. I do support learning a state language, but there should be no compulsion to speak that language. Maharashtrians should understand that a scum like Raj thackeray will make things worse for them.

  • Kahvas, the fact is that the Marathi Language is dying - precisely because of the reason that you just said. The localite speaks Hindi, so where is the need to learn marathi? But the fact is if you love Bombay and you love Maharshtra, it is as much the responsbility of the non-marathis who have lived here as well as the locals to preserve the marathi culture. Marathi is a very old and highly developed language. Everyone should do their bit by trying to speak at least a little marathi.

  • Not Important!!! English is my countries business language and Hindi is our mother language. I myself am not a north Indian and I also speak my state language, which BTW no one forces it on me. Hindi/English should only be promoted. Look at Chinese, everyone wants to learn Chinese. If we want people to speak our language its Hindi. Bombay is a cosmopolitan city like bangalore/hyderabad. No one there is forcing u to speak their regional language. Thats the meaning of the word cosmopolitan.

  • This is not about forcing someone or about Bombay or Bangalore or about cosmopolitanism. This is about national integration - about signaling to the localite that you care about his culture, that you are not just there to make money or for a job. Treat the land where you live as your own! If you want national integration should happen, every person should learn the culture of other people. This applies to a Marathi when he moves elsewhere and this applies to UP'te when he moves here.

  • Learning Marathi wont help national integration. Its a state language. Hindi is a national language. Many Marathi's are in other states, who don't have a clue how to speak the state's language. No one forces them. The money in Bombay you are talking about is because of businesses. How many major companies are owned by Marathi's? Thackeray wants SEBI to change its website in Marathi, while 95% of the brokers are gujrati's and marwari's. This is sort of protectionism, which can be retaliated.

  • That is where you are wrong. Go look up the constitution - all languages are considered national languages. Hindi is spoken by a lot of people, hence it is often marketed as a "main" language. But it is as much national as is Marathi or Bengali. But lets not get into technicalities.

  • How many Marathis do you know who cannot speak the local language? Rajnikant is a man of marathi origin, migrated to TN when he was a kid. He considers himself Tamil. Almost all non-Hindi speaking people can speak 2-4 languages. I myself speak 4, my family speaks 4. Look around you and observe that many many of them know all the languages.

  • @gatesrocks

This is nt a language speaking championship.....so dont talk about languages.

  • It doesn't matter how many businesses are owned by Marathis. What matters it is a regional langauge that needs to be protected and propagated through extensive use. No one is forcing the SEBI brokers to fill a form in Marathi. As long it does not affect productivity, what is the harm if people are encouraged to speak and propagate Marathi. Is that asking for too much?

  • Encouraging people to speak and vandalizing are two different things. Raj wanted sebi's website in Marathi. My point was, that if maharashtrians, especially educated people like you follow this stupid charade of forcing everything in marathi, companies will stop hiring marathi candidates or will simply move out of the state, as they are in bombay to run their business, not to be vandalized if they do something non marathi, against the will of raj thakeray.Raj is a typical cheap indian politician

  • @kahvas :I am no fan of Raj Thackeray's vandalizing. But I am a supporter of some of the issues he raises. The fact is much of what Raj is asking is the LAW. These are not his whims. Shop boards need to have Marathi - is the LAW. he is merely asking for its implementation. This is present in every other state - AP, TN, K'taka etc etc except Mah'tra.

  • @kahvas: Hiring marathi candidates only is far fetched - i don't buy into it as a policy. But local politicians have to do something about even low skilled jobs being consumed by migrants. It is not fair that a few states in the country have to bear the responsibility of creating employment for the whole country while these dumb politicians from UP and Bihar do nothing. This "Raj Thackeray is dividing the country" argument is often being conveniently used by these scumbags to protect themselves

  • Well, if you're talking about low skilled jobs, many illegal bangladeshi immigrants have taken these jobs. Why is Raj targeting people from northern India. At least they are Indians. Why isnt he talking about illegal bangladeshis. That's because he doesn't have the balls to do that, or force illegal bangla muslims to go his way. Its always easier to target poor and helpless people from north India. Secondly, Mumbai is a hub just like NYC, you cant stop people coming in for better opportunities

  • @kahvas

I totally agree. But Bangladeshis are not a huge problem in Maharashtra. At least n didn't observe any while I lived there for 30 years. Illegal Banglas are a problem of Kolkatta and Assam, the border areas and the assamese students are taking up the role of Raj Thackeray in those areas. Many of them infact have been massacred by the Assamese locals, which is sad.

  • @kahvas

I don't care what Raj Thackeray says about Mumbai. I feel he dosen't articulate his views properly. No one can stop anyone from going anywhere in India. But yes - I can stop someone from coming if I knew he or she is going to build slums on govt. land, drive illegal taxis. Democracy and right to mobility dosen't mean you can do what the hell you want. Its sad that many of these are poor but governance has to be un-emotional. Get the bloody UP/Bihari politicians to work for a change

  • many marathi's r in other states bt all north indian's r in maharashtra.

First of all it is mumbai nt bombay.

mumbai was developing so they came here & money nt because they cme here.

you r saying 95% brokers are gujrti & marwadi, they r getting livelihood because of maharashtra & should be greatful to it.

  • Its completely naive to say that Gujratis are getting livelihood because they are in Maharashtra. Maharashtrians are mainly working class people who work in companies owned by people from other states. If you don't want people to be in Bombay or do business in Bombay, it will just be a wada pav center. Bombay is Bombay because people from all parts of the country came there and invested. They can invest in investment friendly places like what tata did. No ones indebted to a city/place.

  • @vedangvam

ha ha ha...look at this idiot.....he is a marathi.......atleast he knows the truth that marathis dont own anything.....they are slum dwellers......

    TATA/Birla/Ambani/Narayan Murty/Azeem Premzi/Mittal are all maratthis??......

Mumbai was part of maharastra after indias independence....pune was their capital.....which is a big garbage dump.

also, in last olympics onlt N Indians won the medals?....where were the marathis?.....be grateful to N Indians/ S Indians/ Gujratis & marwaris

  • @orceller For your info:

1)First person to make a movie in India was Dadasaheb Phalke, a Marathi. The greatest playback singer ever Lata Mangeshkar is Marathi. So is Dr. Asha Bhonsale.

    3. Bulk of IIT/IIM/IAS/IES/IPS/IRS/CDS/NDA/IFS are from Bihar followed by UP. Every IITian creates 300 job. The talent of IITians is recognized so that students from your state go to US for future study.

  • 4. Shahnaz Husain, beautician and entrepreneur is from UP; Subroto Roy, founder Sahara India.; K.P. Singh, President of DLF Universal Group; Saleem Iqbal Shervani,Geep Flashlight Industry

  • One of the 6 International Best Cities - The city won international acclaim when it was selected for the 2004 Global Compact City award from the United Nations in India. Congratulations on jamshedpur being selected. I am happy for you.

  • @orceller the first indian person whose wax statue was made is Mahatma Gandhi and not Amitabh Bachan. Anyways don't give importance to these English things like Madame Tussauds, United Nations, Nobel prize. Many great Indians have rejected all of these at some point. These organisations are biased. Use them to your advantage.

  • Ah...welll.....you are in united states now....giving importance to that country more than your beloved maharastra. may i know whats`s missing in maharastra that bulk of maharastrian students go to USA for their graduate studies.?. only N Indians have treated whole of India as their own.

  • @orceller Andhra Pradesh breeds the most number of IITians in the country. At least the JEE organizing committee's report to MHRD proves so. This

year the maximum number of students qualifying for IIT from a single state †1,697 †came from Andhra Pradesh with Uttar Pradesh following next with 1,194 students out of a total of 5,524 successful candidates.

  • We cant be number one throughout....we are number two here. but where is the rank of maharastra?. Shouldn`t it be in top 5 here too?....or is it in bottom 5. ?

  • @orceller As for the maximum number of students appearing for JEE, UP leads the pack with 72,028 students appearing for JEE 2008 while 57,488 in 2007. Bihar also had a huge number of IIT aspirants †30,490 this year and 14,854 in 2007 †however, unlike UPSC exams, they could not take IITs by storm. While 533 qualified this time, 146 were successful last year.

  • "In the South Zone, 64,829 aspirants took the exam, second only to the Mumbai Zone which saw 80,501 aspirants writing the exam. In total, 3,84,977 students appeared of which 10,035 candidates have been declared qualified to seek admission for 8,295 seats in IITs in Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Madi, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan and Roorkee, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISMU Dhanbad." - 2008.

maharashtrians also aspire to become IITian.

  • @orceller 5)Marathis from Mumbai made cricket as big as it is today. Vijay Hazare, Sunil Gavaskar. Later others joined in like Kapil Dev and Mohammad Azaruddin who made a mess. Have you heard of the greatest genius Sachin Tendulkar?

6)A Marathi, Khashaba Jadhav is the first Indian who won an individual medal (bronze) at the Olympics in Men's Freestyle Bantamweight wrestling at the 1952 Games in Helsinki. Nobody could win a medal for tens of years after him.

  • 5. A part of Bihar was called "Magadha" in ancient times. From Magadha arose two traditions, Jainism and Buddhism. The greatest Indian empire, the Maurya empire, originated from Magadha, with its capital at Patliputra (modern Patna) in 325 BC. The Mauryan Emperor, Ashoka, who was born in Patliputra ( Patna ) is believed to be one of the greatest rulers in the history of India and the world. After his name "Ashok Chakra" is given as gallantry awards in defence forces in India.

  • @orceller i am as proud of this history as you are. at the same time youo must look at the current state of affairs of the state and the future.

  • current state is bihar grew at 11%, next only to gujrat. it it grows like this without the "support of outsiders" (like gujratis, marwaris, parsis) ...we will soon be at a level playing field in terms of state rank.

  • @orceller 7)People came to do business in Mumbai because the Marathis and Marathi government of Mumbai created that business environment. Not only Mumbai but also other parts of Maharashtra are doing better business than the best cities of other states.

8)The first female doctor of India is Marathi. Her name was Anandi Gopal.

  • 6. People also come to defend mumbai. 25% of the people in defence services from from UP/Bihar. 80% of wealth is owned by gujratris. TATA/Birla/Ambani/Narayan Murty/Azeem prem jee all are outsiders.

    7. Aryabhatta, ChandraGupta Maurya, Asoka the great, Chanakya, Panini, Vatsyayana (Kamasutra), Ashvaghosha were all from Bihar.

  • @orceller please compare the current financial and educational levels of UP, Bihar to that of Maharashtra

  • Educational -

#1 engineering college of India is in UP.

    #4 - maha, #6,#8 - UP

    overall in top 25 -

    2 in Maharastra

    5 in UP

Quantity doesn`t matter, its quality which matters.

    Financial -

60% of the wealth in Maharashtra is owned by gujratis and a substantial amount of the remaining is owned by marwari (like me), and parsis.

  • @orceller Why are people from UP/Bihar coming to Maharashtra and living in slums and doing criminal activities instead of going to these colleges in their own states?

  • Article number - 5421732, TOI

"Guards wife braves thrashing, nabs burglar"

"Kantabai, wife of the security guard Durgaprasad, was busy in her chores when she spotted a stranger walking into Shridhar Apartments at Suyognagar. She went up to the youth to find out why he was visiting the apartment. The stranger, later identified as Jeetendra Tarate, claimed that he had come to check out a cable connection. "

This marathi guy was beaten up by public for stealing. Which college he used to go?

  • Article # 5418562, "Video camera helps nab thieving maid" - "After watching the videos, he found that the domestic maid servant was stealing money from his open almirah.

The accused has been identified as Aruna Dongre, (40), a resident of Bhandewadi. Lakadganj cops also discovered the money that the accused had stolen and have registered a case."

Now who is stealing?.......by putting the blame in N Indians will never solve your problem....we are earning for whole country....we are the king.

  • @orceller Kids from bangladesh, Bihar, UP come to Mumbai. 10 people sleep in a 10 by 10 slum. Get up in the morning and defacate on the beaches, roads, railway tracks and anywhere. Sell peanuts during the day until someone gives them 200 rupees to shoot someone dead. Now do you understand what crime is?

  • 8. Sita mata (Hinduism), Mahavira (Jainism), Gautam Buddha (Buddhism), Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami, Guru Gobind Singh ji (Sikhism), Shams-ul-haq Azeemabadi, all were from bihar.

    9. Poets/witters: Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Vidyapati, Ram Sharan (R. S.) Sharma, Nagarjuna (Vaidya Nath Mishra)

  • @orceller Sita and Gautam Budhha are not from Bihar but are both born in and hence from Nepal.

Does the surname Dinkar sound Marathi to you?

  • Ok the credit of dinkar goes to you. but he was born in bihar. the place where i was born.

  • marathis created envirinment, sure, by opposing S Indians in 1960`s and now N Indians . after all where else can we get such a business environment where 55% of the population lives in slums.

  • @orceller 9)Jhansi ki rani from UP is Marathi, Ahilyabai Holkar queen from MP is Marathi who built Kashi Vishwanath in UP and Somnath Patan in Gujrath. The warriors who came to the rescue of the queen of Punjab and saved Punjab by defeating Timur Shah of the so called Afghanistan, were Marathas.

  • 10. Jhansi is in UP. Jhansi ki rani was born in marathi family, which is in UP. she was born in UP like I am. anyway...you can take her credits, you will really need that in this argument.

    11. The first war of independence was fought in UP with mangal pandey, Begum Hazrat Mahal, and Bakht Khan among the few pre-1857 freedom fighters.

  • @orceller How did Rani Laxmibai, queen of Jhansi, which is in UP become the queen of Jhansi even though it is in UP???

I love Mangal Pandey and every freedom fighter who fought with him

  • She was born in banaras. anyway...lets not fight for her. The credit for her bravery goes to you.

  • please go and check ur records ...

    1) Jhansi ki rani was not born in Bihar ....

    2) Mangal pande didnt fight for independence, he just refused to remove the bullet cartridge which has animal fat, primarily from pigs and cows ....

it was just a reason to raise the voice of independence ...

  • @orceller Scindias in Rajasthan are Marathi. Ginjee in Tamil Nadu was the Maratha capital for 9 years. The Marathas defeated the Afghanis and Mughals in Dilli but chose to rule from Pune. The India that is today was Maratha confederacy.

  • Tell me about those people who are born in maharashra, otherwise name wise - Mittal is also common surnames in UP/Delhi.

    12. The Vikramshila and Nalanda universities in Bihar were among the oldest and best centres of education in ancient India. Some writers believe the period between the 400 CE and 1000 CE saw gains by Hinduism at the expense of Buddhism

  • @orceller Talking about names FYI Marathas are people from different parts of India from 96 different Kul which Shivaji Maharaj gathered and is now recognised by government of India. They have surnames like chauhan- chavan from Punjab, choudhary-chaudhary, leva patel- leva patil from Gujrath, scindia- shinde from MP and Rajasthan, palanpure( palanpur is in Afghanistan), Dillikar, Varanase, Joshi, Bhat, Pundit, Deshmukh from UP,

  • @deepak201 Dixit from UP

  • @orceller Deshpande, Rao from Karanataka and Andhra. Ghosal, Bhosal, Gokhal from Rajasthan and Bengal, Thakare-thackeray from Sindh, Rajsthan, Orissa and may more.

  • @orceller I agree that nalanda is one of the oldest and the most reputed universities of India which the so called moghuls destroyed. Even takshashila in the present day so called Afghanistan is oldest. But see the condition of the state education system in UP Bihar now.

  • @orceller Jadhavs are the first rulers of the current Maharashtra region. Jadhavs are found all over India. They are also supposed to be the descendants of Shri Krishna who migrated from Mthura to Dwarka in Gujrath.

  • @orceller 10)The man who introduced Gandhiji to Indian National Congress and supported his ideas was Marathi. His name was Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Have you heard of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule?

11)The man who first framed the constitution of Bhaarath, the PhD holder, the Marathi is Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

  • 13. Sher Shah Suri, who built the longest road of the Indian subcontinent, the Grand Trunk Road. The economic reforms carried out by Sher Shah, like the introduction of Rupee and Custom Duties, is still used in the Republic of India.

    14. Bhagwan Das, philosopher and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Rajrishi Purushottam Das Tandon, Freedom Fighter

    Govind Ballabh Pant,Freedom Fighter

    Lal Bahadur Shastri,Indira Gandhi,Ravi Shankar,Sitar Maesro

Ustad Bismillah Khan, Shehnai Maestro all beloned to UP.

  • @orceller I love every freedom fighter of India

  • @orceller 12)Your forefathers were not forcibly converted to Islam because one man fought against the then most powerful empire in the whole world and defeated them and once again united India. That man was Chattrapathi Shivaji Maharaj a Marathi

  • Your shivagi maharaj never ruled UP. he always defended his own empire. The CSt terminal in mumbai was made by britishers, they laid the foundation of railway in india starting from maharastra. it was in Punjab/UP/Delhi/bihar/bengal where the 90 years of freedom war was fought against britishers on the behalf of whole of india. you too fought with britishers but then paid tribute for 20 years after loosing them, as you often do.

  • @orceller example the Rajputs and the Vijaynagar Empire fought and fell and then were forced to fight for the Mongolians. For example Raja Jaisingh for Akbar then Mansingh and then Ramsingh for Aurungzeb. Around 300 years ago within a span of 100 years the Hindu Marathas defeated Aurangzeb and all the Mongolians after him all throughout Bhaarath. Mongolians became very weak.

  • Dont lie man, its all written in the books, you eventually were defeated by aurenzeb after shivagi maharaj`s death.

  • @orceller . The Maratha Empire spread from UP to Maharashtra, from Rajasthan to Karnataka, from Gujarat to Orissa to Bangla under Bajirao. Bajirao even had a wife named Mastani from UP The remaining Mongolian nawabs were paying Chauth (tax) to the Marathas. Ahilyabai resurrected the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Varanasi. This is the greatest fightback ever in the history of the world.

  • @orceller In that one man Shivaji fought against the richest and the most powerful empire (the Mongolian empire) in the world of its time. Shivajis descendants up to Bajirao finished the Mongolians. The English (Chriti)/Islamic literature or history doesnt talk much about the fightback because it is superlatively inspirational and morale-boosting for the Hindus.

  • Chandragupta maurya`s achievements, which ranged from conquering Alexander the Great's Macedonian satrapies and conquering the Nanda Empire by the time he was only about 20 years old, to defeating Seleucus and establishing centralized rule throughout South Asia, remain some of the most celebrated in the history of India. Over two thousand years later, the accomplishments of Chandragupta and his successors, including Ashoka the Great, are objects of great study in the annals of world history.

  • @orceller Mir Bhawan, a Maratha resurrected the Gurmukteshwar fort in the present day Uttarakhand

  • Isnt Taj Mahal in UP? Who built that?. A person born in UP?. Who were the laborers?....ofcourse not marathis....they cant work so hard after all!

  • @orceller Well great. You solved your own porblem. Just as the laborers who built Taj Mahal built it in UP and worked very hard in UP, the present lot should follow suit instead of flooding Maharashtra.

  • the day you will stop migrating to USA and deceive INdia by tax to US, which iin turn pays to pakistan....which iin turn uses against INdia.....we will stop coming to maharastra. moreover, since people from UP/Bihar fought for INdias independence...they have more right on any part of india.....also....you in this debate you have been pushed to a corner.....you are not capable of defending even a single point....even a single poiint....."a person is great by his deeds not by birth"....

  • @orceller why don't you stop worrying about maharashtra including Mumbaikars and think about improving the condition of people from UP and Bihar including yourself? First thing is do some work. second go to school. free education given by government. third if you don't get a job claim 100 days pay under rozgar guarantee yojna. I am sure that will work for you.

  • @orceller its high time that all these biharis and up people stopped complaining about no work. 40% of the money for the 100 days that you will get is paid by Maharashtra including Mumbai.

  • Open your eyes, if they are open then use spects, marathis are unempoyed. Its high time that marathis stop complaning about migration. they are the benefactor for rojgar scheme.

by the way for ur info, hw poor ur GK is, when raj thackrey was asked by arnab in times now interview (you can watch that on youtube), that "Aren`t marathis also living in slums? " , Raj thackrey became silent !!. if u dont know then it doesnt mean that whole world doesnt know abt that.

  • @orceller people who migrate to USA --- do not do the following things as the UP/Bihar people do in other states including maharshtra: kill people or rape girls. go there and live in slums. defacate on the road, beaches, footpath, railway tracks, in front of their houses, anywhere when the call comes. impose our way of life on their way of life. Do the following: speak with them in English behave with civic sense when told to go back we do go back we live there legally with visas.
  • 60% of the people living delhi are from UP/Bihar. They dont defecate there.

So many are living in Bnagalore - they dont defecate there.

They dont defecate in Noida/Greater Noida/ Gaziabad/Gurgaoon where they live in about 90-95% how cum they defecate on ur land?.....may be they saw you doing the same. See they are learning your culture of defecating in open.

common on man, dont sound so much pathetic and hapless, do somthing in the present to get accepted.

  • Looks like the only achievment in few peoples life is to go to US. thats the only way they can earn respect amoung other people. But N Indians know that going to US is very very easy. They prefer people from India to work in pig farms and to clean their sewer/garbage. after all thats how swine flu originated in Pune, original and actual capital of so called "Marathis".

  • Of all 527 solders martyed in kargil war not even 10 were marathi.

80% of soldeirs guarding fronts, are from N India.

whoever came to India had one intention of ruling Delhi, which was part of UP and was truncated from UP after 1857.

Mumbai was added to maharastra after 1947. Pune was your capital.

Bihar emerged as the fastest growing state only next to gujrat. overtaking your maharastra.

  • @orceller for your info:

Delhi has historically never been India's capital.

    Ram Ayodhya

Shyam Mathura and later Dwarka in Gujrath

    Chandragupt maurya, samrat Ashok Magadh

    Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Pune

And then all the other rulers:

the muslims invaders ruled from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Daulatabad which is in Maharashtra. Very rarely has Dilli been the capital of India.

  • @deepak201 British capital was Kolkata

  • The capital of Illinois is springfield (a small town) and not chicago.

Their intention was to control New Delhi which was part of United Provice , Present day Uttar Pradesh till 1857.

  • @orceller In fact Bihar was the number 1 state during freedom in 1947.

    Maharashtra was made in 1960s

But today unfortunately Bihar is in red and one of the four BIMARU (Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar pradesh) states which central gov has to keep alive by pumping in money. orissa may be the poorest but it is still not in red.

  • Dear Deepak,

You made the biggest mistake here. Article no. 5039995 of TOI titled "Most of India's urban poor are in Maharashtra", says - "The overblown myth about the `city of gold' has been dealt a blow by a recent report from the union ministry of housing and urban poverty alleviation."

"Maharashtra has received Rs 80 crore for its urban poor population of 1.46 crore - almost twice the amount received by Madhya Pradesh and five times the amount received by Bihar."

  • @orceller Maharashtra alone is paying 40% of entire nations tax revenue. So 80 crores sounds a miniscule amount. Moreover Bihar has only 1 semi urban city Patna. Maharashtra has 1 metro city Mumbai, then it has the largest planned city in the world Navi Mumbai, then it has Thane, Pune, Nashik and 20 other semi urban cities. Moreover a huge majority of these poor are from other states. Why did they come to the cities of Maharashtra and did not go to Patna or Noida for that matter?

  • Maharastra may be paying....but not marathis.....please dont take the credit of others....and at the same time refrain from throwing the blame on N Indians for your failures....why is it that inspite of having so many suburban cities......you people flock to USA inspite of getting a second grade citizen treatment,.....they dont recognise marathi as a language....do they?....also.....if maharastra is "veero ki bhumi"then how cum you couldn`t gun down 10 pakis kids....who held your city to ransom.

  • "Moreover a huge majority of these poor are from other states." - Proove this if you can. I bet more than 30% of the 55% slum dwelers are marathis. had they been outsiders, the slums would have gone vacant now by MNS. what stopped MNS from clearing these slums?....answer - "marathi manoos living in them a poverty stricken life" - dreaming about working in Indian Railway pantry car.

  • @orceller Marathi manoos has the first right to the resources of Maharashtra. Why are you worried about marathi manoos? why don't you worry about Biharis and up people? The proof is talk to 10 people in these slums in Marathi. 9 out 10 if not 10 out 10 cannot speak back in Marathi. Leave alone speaking back they cannot understand Marathi. Is that proof enough?

  • @orceller if you want to come then live in proper tenements. why do you live in slums? use proper sanitation. why do you dirty the public places like beaches? If your state government is not providing for you then kick them. Why do you create governmental problems in other states. there are biharis and up people who live decently. It is this new generation bred in the last decade or so who is making trouble aided by the ooportunistic greedy politicians like azmi

  • @orceller Maharashtra still has 25% share in the gross domestic product and is still one of the top 5 states of India if not the topmost.

  • All because of Gujratis/marwaris. I am happy that they did so much for you. Alas....we have to carry our burden alone.

  • @orceller why was Mumbai added to Maharashtra and not to Bihar or Uttar Pradesh

  • because we never whined for it. moreover, there is MP in between Maha and UP/Bihar.

  • @orceller please let me know where you got the figures from about the soldiers matryred and guarding.

I love every soldier of India.

  • Abour guarding - Omar Khalidis article whole link has been Pmed to you.

about martyred - google - "names of kargil martyrs", and then lets list how many marathis laid down their lives. Martyrdom cannot be achieved by running to US , one has to present on the frontier all the time and during war.

  • Stopping film screenings just because they have word bombay in them, jaya bachchan says she likes hindi and their film were stopped. I dont blame Hindi media calling MNS as taliban. In south they dont speak hindi because for centuries they have never known Hindi plus everybody there dont know hindi, south is not as multicultural as mumbai. Plus according to the constitution you are allowed to take oath in any language you feel like

  • The one who has been writing MNS ambulances and blood donor camps, i find it quite funny bcos these MNS ppl r the same ppl who attacked students in exam and attacked north indian labourers and imitated sonia gandhi, called salman as sallu fallu. On sachin issue raj didnt say anything cos he doesnt want to lose vote, if smone UP/Bihari said that, they would kill him to win vote. These ppl can u pls prove MNS ambulances and blood donor camps, its rubbish, if its true any1 pls prove it.

  • Bombay mein marathi koi bolta hi nahi tha...abhi ye chutie logo ke vajah se kuch log bolte hai

  • Mr Abu Azmi is the only person who won 2 seats., LK advani investigated this charge , when he was home minister of india and failed to prove that he is acquated by supreme court from all baseless charges of Sangh Parivaar.

Infact all these MNS Goonda MLAs should be slapped POTA including there Goonda /murdere leader Raj who himself is a murderer of Ramesh Kini in 1997.

    Mr Azmi did nothing wrong.

in fact Govt should provide him Z+ security as given to Bal Thookrey ,a old swine

  • why did the media did not give similar coverage on yesterdays vidhansabha events where half of the MLAs demanded action against azmi? biased media! terrorist azmi.

  • Shri Abu Asim Azmi is the senior leader of Samajwadi Party , Maharashtra , Mumbai.

There had been persistent allegations that Azmi is linked to Dawood Ibrahim.[1] Azmi had confirmed attending the wedding of Dawood's brother but denied any link with Dawood. [2]

He was also among the accused in the 1993 Bombay bombings, but was acquitted by the court. [3] In 2000, Azmi publicly apologized for his alleged anti-national statement that he was not bothered if the country is disintegrated. [4]

  • the traitor azmi did not show up in assembly today! ravikant azmi tera baap hai kya? MNS is great and it wont allow slander of marathi from now on. U idiot. marathi boards are mandatory as per law. south india mein jaake hindi sikha naa unko. wahan barabar teri gand phatti hai. congress ke pille MNS tumko sabak sikhayega.

  • Its not about speaking hindi or marathi, its about self respect i dont like abu azmi either, we are forced to speak marathi in mumbai when we have been speaking hindi, we never stop any marathi talking marathi, y is raj stopping us to talk in hindi, y do we do everything raj says, its democracy not the times of kings and queens, we are not raj's slaves, it is allowed by Dr. ambedkar who was marahi himself that we can tk oath in hindi, so y is he forcing ppl

  • You have misconception of MNS policy, better read on: manase . org

  • The truth is MNS and Raj in the name of making, they are actually destroying if u read my comments properly. How safe is north indians today in mumbai, how free do they feel to talk in hindi after seeing these attacks. Raj hasnt brought any jobs but taken loads of jobs and bread earners of the family. they vandalise public property, they assault students and north indian labourers, u dont say anything that time, but when abu talks in hindi, u talk about ur exploitation, y r u biased towards RAJ?

  • Plus north indian labourers ko pune main pitne se marathi ko jobs mili? railway students ko pitne se marathi ko jobs mili? Railway board ne jobs marathi pustika main nahi chapvai, iska matlab MNS students ko exam main marega, unki vajah se ek student mar gaya. Raj kutta logo ko hindi bolne ke liya mafi mangne ko bolta hai, what about him apologising to those ppl who were beaten up and killed bcos of him. Marathi neta hai isliya tum biased ho ghar ke neta ke liya, kill ppl for railway board fault

  • u ppl are blind are ur eyes are covered by cloth which says raj on it, if he was that good and loyal, he would stayed in shivsena, not ditched his own party just bcos he didnt become the head. jo apne marathi parivar main nahi reh saka kyunki he wanted power alone, he wanted to be king alone, woh apne state ke baare main kya sochega. He ditched bal thackeray who brought him into politics, how can u trust him, he is only doing it for power and money.

  • lumsum711

i can mk a great website and write great policies, i believe what i see from my eyes i have seen north indian labourers been assaulted, students being assaulted in exam who were poor cos of laloo's or railway board's fault. y would he break shop boards cos they were written in english, tourism industry is already shit in india and writing shop boards in marathi destroys tourism even more, violence will mk foriegn companies shift from mumbai, then u tell me about mumbai or nation progres

  • paise ke liye india ki waat laga rahi hain media

  • this video gernalist dont get news whole .. main reson 4 spoiling india r just they

  • Comment removed

  • Manushy Nahin Shaitan.(MNS)

  • chinmay..are you talking to me?..if so talk in plain english..hindi or marathi..you do not make any sense to me.

  • ravikant arguing with you is like talking to a wall! you are absolute retard! he has public support..thats why the napunsak govt does not do anything about it. dont worry about the pune office...out of 50 only 3-4 marathis would be employed....sickular people like you are messing up the country..Raj is here to STAY..do WHATEVER you want. welcome MNS friend..
