Great job! I was actually thinking of this very same thing. You could connect your Wii to your computer, then record the drum track. Then overdub with guitar and vocals. It should work very nicely, even if only for demos to show off to other players.
I have this game, but when I select the "free play" mode, we can hear the sound of the crowd while we're playing. Wich option did you select to hear only the sound of the drums?
