  • i have no sons or daughters, but every time I see this commercial I cry. fucking awesome.

  • @SableSpike747 actually they're not doing yet..these kids are seems like preparing their games...right?

  • Don't you all get it? Its thanking the MOMS because they are the ones that MOSTLY USE the Procter&Gamble Products, DUUUH!! =___=

Otherwise, very nice ad :) <3

  • Gracias mama... por que se que aun me ves como un niño...

  • What a great commercial.

  • @KrisNoetzelman yeah there are some fathers who are nut heads, but so are there mothers like that, though not as many as fathers, i still think they should talk about fathers

  • @KrisNoetzelman well they don't play the commercial about dads where i live or they don't play it at all, and yes im not saying a relationship of a mother to her child is bad, its just that she is not the only one! the child has a father too you know, the commercial that ticks me off the most though is the one that says "you wouldn't be here without her" news flash you wouldn't be here either if it wasn't for your father

  • @KrisNoetzelman if it was for mothers day why are they still playing it? these commercials make it seem like they are the only important one in the family, which i find way more sexist then men not wanting women to do their jobs

  • you guys seem to forget that without fathers there would be no you, you (p&g) have no problems congratulating moms, but did fathers cease to exist? last i checked fathers had an equally important role in there child's life! dad's deserve to go see the olympics if there child is in it just the same as MOMS! oh and your commercial about she is the feet etc, she is the one without the head yeah well the father is the head!

  • Dah, It was probably shown over Mother's Day. I liked it.

  • It's hard to believe that these young kids are actually doing things like figure skating, speed skating and ski jumping, but at the same time it's not.

The little downhill ski racer reminds me so much of myself.

This commercial still gets me. This is a piece of art.

  • Im in this video! I am the kid playing poker they zoom in on and the kid shaving!

  • P&G do animal testing don't they? that means they throw acid into the eyes of rabbits and all the other ingredients they use. wonder what mothers would make of that?

  • @DanStylus What about the moms that died through the use of Rely tampons too? Can't beleive people are gettin loved up about this stupid video.

  • very inspiring...my favorite part of the commercial was 0:46 to 0:50 made the hairs in the back of my neck stand up :)

  • the sentiment is wonderful...unfortunately the company is a nightmare......"proud sponsor of mums"..should read "proud torturer of pets."...

Iams ...we won;t buy while cats and dogs die!!!

  • Awwwww! I have great respect for my husband and for the father he is to our 2 grown sons but as a mom I love this. And to my husband... no, they are not still kids to him. I'm the one who nurtures mostly. He's the one who really helps them prepare for life on their own. I want to feed them, baby them, etc. He sees the need to nudge them out of the nest so I think the commercial is right on and means no disrespect to dads. We're a great parenting team because of our differences! Great job, P&G!

  • gosh a big le about pg

  • Not gonna lie...I do not have kids (I am not even grown up yet) and this made me cry. Great commercial.

  • Hey guys, does anyone know the name of this song??

  • 27 people are fathers.

  • Seriously this is the greatest commercial I've ever seen. Emotional marketing at its best. Made me cry so much haha.

  • partially agree with all the father comments, but in America fathers aren't really known for their role in taking care of children. They usually make the money, take care of the family financially, and the mom stays at home and takes care of the children. Of course there are exceptions, but this is the general pattern, and I find it totally logical to single mothers out in this aspect.

  • Touching ad.

  • 26 people are to fat and lazy to do sports, this advert is amazing and it makes you wonder how a parent feels when there child is about to plunge straight down a ski jump at 60mph+ and trust me i have stood at the top of one those and it is a brown pants moment.

  • Hahahahahahhahahahahahah sooooooooo funnnny hahahahahaa

  • I LOVE this commercial.

T-T i wish i was athletic and could do something like the Olympics :/

  • Oh cute cute cute commercial

  • The fact is that more than 600 companies manufacture safe and effective products that are comparable to Procter & Gamble's WITHOUT TESTING ON ANIMALS. When I called the company to ask if they tested on animals Jose LIED and said they didn't. Not only do they kill thousands of animals, but they LIE about their products.

  • @tinkysaweet Ohh STFU.

You know how many HUMANS died in order to build the computer that you're typing on right now. Exactly you don't. If it's a Dell, mac or toshiba I dear you to google it. You'd be horrified.

It always pisses me of when people complain about animals being treating inhumanly when there are human beings alive right now being treated much worst.

  • @tinkysaweet They only test on animals where required by law. That is a fact - so before you start slagging on a company, make sure you get your facts right.

  • There is no curling in this video, unlike the "2010 Olympic Commercial"

    posted by, "Kiedis21."

  • Aside from the valid remarks of the exclusion of the fathers, this commercial would have better kept its poignancy if there wasn't the voiceover at the end.

  • I cried when I saw this too, and teared up every time it came on. This is such a cute commercial.

  • proud sponsor of animal testing

  • @Lucidique83 Get your facts straight. P&G only tests on animals where required by law. They are the leading company in the world in pushing for alternative testing. Don't believe the misinformation.

  • THIS THING MADE ME CRY. fjsdklgh it was so beautiful ;A;

  • I really hope that kid did go down the sky jump, then half way through thought,

    "shit, what am I doing!!??".

  • This mom always makes me want to cry! Really good commercial.

  • @RosellaTech, I know! The look on her face at the end is just...wow!

  • Dude my mom watches this and always agrees ;) she loves it! hahaha

  • Ahem... I love this video because it's very moving. I can see why some men might feel left out but let's look at this from the marketing perspective. And this is the ONLY thing that is offensive- it's targeted at women. Notice the sponsors? Pampers, Tide, Bounty. Because the stereotypes persist-women take care of the baby, do the grocery shopping and do the cleaning. Women should be angry, not men. What, no comments like, "Men use bounty too!" or "Men do laundry too"? Oh boo hoo hoo!

  • I love this ad. When I saw it first, I cried.

  • They deff shouldnt just play this during the olympics.

  • So tearful..

What's the title of background music?

    It's so good

  • i love the winter olympics and i want to speed skate and i just love this commercial but i dont know how to get in the olympics because theres no races held here

  • Beautiful commercial

  • This commercial is just so touching. It makes me feel just so happy inside... there's a wonderful message here presented in a wonderful way. Thank you for making this for the world to see and treasure. :)

  • It'd be great to see them do a similar commercial for the 2012 summer olympics using gymnastics, swimming, track...it's a great concept.

  • that makes me cry and poor apolo dont even know his mom

  • such a good commercial. I love my mom

  • Best commercial of the winter games 2010 by far. well done PG

  • well a mother is a big sponser and i love that commercial so much it makes me cry!!!!!! =**(

  • @Madypoo16 what about the dads?

  • @Panditha666 And what about sisters. And brothers. And cousins. And second cousins. And neighbors. And mothers in law. Give me a break. It's a 60 second commercial, not a documentary. Mothers have an often thankless job and should be put on a pedestal. Let someone else do a commercial thanking dads, and just appreciate that someone is recognizing mothers who helped their kids be their best.

  • @bluemirage123 ummm isn't that a girl?

  • To Their Dads, They'll Always Be Kids Too

  • 0:42 = mini JR Celski ♥

  • im crying right now becuasee thats the sweetest commercial i've ever seen mom's really need the support but im 11

  • also, it's hard to find a movie these days that does not show female violence against men as funny. "Jerry McGuire," "Clerks II" are a couple of examples that come immediately to mind...

...FWIW, advertising agencies, run by people with minimal intelligence, resort to idiot vs. wise one themes in their ads and, taking the safest course, they will pretty much unanimously show the man as idiot. No one standing in his corner, I suppose...

  • Yawn. Just another dose of misandry in the media.

  • check this out on youtube : 9 year old girl quarterback (Jordan's football Highlights)

  • It is simply amazing to me that if every group of people is not mentioned in an ad/commercial, then the commercial must be garbage. Are you kidding me?! You people that complain about "where are the dad's?" are unreal! If it was a dad commercial than the mom's would complain. Lets do one with mom's,dads, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grand-moms, grand-dads. cousins, *don't forget about the step family* It's a great commercial...FOR MOMS!

  • Fine, show us a dad commercial. Right, there aren't any. Well, there are but then feminists come down on them like a bag of hammers and get them removed. What's good for the goose...

  • @BobSutan So you're saying you think the misogynists should have this commercial removed? I'm not trying to play with words, I'm just trying to understand this line of thinking.

  • Juice, have you notice how men and father hood are treated in ads? We are all idiots, buffons, and the subject of scorn overall. Enough already! I am a worthwhile and valuable human being who happens to be in the male 1/2 of the population.

  • A huge percentage of ads put down men. How about that SuperBowl Doritos ad? Or the Mountain Dew in the lightning storm ad? Men are often portrayed as being ridiculous, superfluous, and that they can be hurt without penalty. How about that Justin Timberlak ad where he keeps getting hurt? If you truly ARE interested in the topic there is no shortage of examples with commentary here on YouTube.

  • @sjmarcy...

Excellent post sjmarcy. I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend the book Spreading Misandry by Paul Nathanson and Katherine K. Young and also Legalizing Misandry by Paul Nathanson and Katherine K. Young.

  • i love that comercial and poor apolo and i always wath the olympics nad love that comercial

  • yuki ohno should be in this comercial. hat off to both father and son. love both of them.

  • Yep. Fathers just aren't important. No sir.

Looks like I'm going to have to switch to another brand of tp, razor, toothbrush and battery.

  • Odd that the "fathers" are missing huh? Just more typical misandry...

  • Apparently, Ohno hasn't seen his mother for a very, very long time, knows where she is, has no desire to meet her. His dad has always been right there for him.

Ohno is America's most decorated Winter Olympics athelete ever.

  • Wow...nice commercial...but I gotta say: I guess fathers are meaningless. Or perhaps only mothers need cheerleaders?

  • I love my child with all my heart and am not female.

    Amazing, huh?

  • Interesting someone would bring up Apollo Ohno in this Olympic-themed commercial that ignores the significance of fathers. Ohno was raised by his father and has had little contact with his mother.

  • this makes me cry, every time

  • i cry every time i see that comercial and im crying now because opolo ohno im afraid he will retire and go team USA!!!!!!

  • what a great commercial!

  • i love this commercial!!!

  • wow......someone just got a bonus or even promoted at P&G haha

  • haha ya think

  • I love this, it gives me chills!

  • same here!

  • whats the music score?

  • As someone who has competed all his life, this commercial captures that moment where I do my absolute best and I look over to see my mom as my biggest fan. Eventhough it's to moms, if your parents have ever made the sacrifices for dreams, we thank them.

  • Father's love there children too!!! Can't anybody read what I said?? Why were fathers NOT involved too? Why is blatant sexism allowed here?

    Double Standard for women??

    Honor your Father AND Mother..

I cant stand how "Fathers" "True fathers"...NOT "sperm donors" are left out ..and treated like some kind of losers..like we see all to often now in the media..

  • How on earth can you say this video insults fathers? How does honoring your mother dis your father? What about grandparents? What about the village? What about coachs, teachers, ect. This is a commercial that paid for us to get to see the Olympics on TV . Just feel the emotion, accept it for what it is and get a life.

  • @ugabosch1 Don't feed the troll.

  • How is mentioning the fathers being a troll? You truly are a bitch.

  • I am so in love with this commercial. There has never been anything so compelling, and beautiful!! Absolutely brilliant!!! I cry and get goosebumps every time I watch it. ALL the Olympic commercials were amazing this year!!! I'm soooo heartbroken that it is already over! :(

  • The blatant sexism is disgusting. This could have easily been avoid by saying "P&G: Proud sponsor of Parents." Father's love there children too!!!

  • @redspade1 P&G are trying to target mothers in this commercial bc women of that age bracket are the majority of P&G product buyers

  • Very thoughtful and touching.

  • my friend jacob is in this 00:20- 00:22

  • This is aboslutely adorable, it's so well laid-out. It has a great meaning to it.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • Oh so true... damn.

    Very good ad.

  • wow, gave me chills

  • i wish fathers got represented as well : /

love this commercial cuz of the cute kids, and really nice message, nevertheless, but i must agree with waterrat69.

  • yah dads actally do help the kids understand the sport... i agree

  • I don't even cry at sad movies, and this brings tears to my eyes. Amazing commercial. Really, really good.

  • I love that commercial. It's definatly one of my favorites!

  • Who doesn't cry every time they watch this?? THANK YOU whoever decided to create this commercial! Truly INCREDIBLE!!!

  • hes just an asshole...

  • Comment removed

  • woops! my bad I was agreeing with you about the comment toward the MrPent guy.

as for the Shani Davis comment it was directed towards MrPent and his remark of how there are "no blacks" in this commercial. I suppose I should have just pressed the reply button on his comment.... :)

wasn't mean to be an insult!

  • such a heartwarming commercial.

  • haha prob got punched real hard. lol

Anyways the reason why there is not much minority in this commercial is because if you think about the only main African american winter Olympian is Shani Davis. If this were for the summer then it wold be another story,

  • you're wack.

  • I don't know why but for some reason I love this commercial.

  • Hehe, the mom who stands up at the end looks like Dianne Keaton.

  • good endin too

  • lol kid shavin on 0:19

  • Loved that commercial when I saw it on TV. Gave me goosebumps and almost made me cry. Check out this commercial it's also very beautiful watch?v=Jv5za3XwM0c

    So powerful.

  • I sincerely hope that in the future you consider uplifting everyone instead of only mothers or women.

Best regards for your better choices in the future,

  • mother walked out on him when he was a young child, and that he was raised by his father.

You should know that men and fathers are very tired of being slighted, made fun of, denigrated, unmentioned, and taken for granted.

I, for one, will do my level best to avoid P&G products whenever possible as the direct result of this campaign, and I will tell everyone I know to do the same.

  • Very well put. I will also be doing my best to avoid P&G products, which shouldn't be too hard considering I only buy PUR & Gilette.

  • It is particularly disconcerting when in both the United States and Canada, that fathers do not walk out on their families nearly to the extent that mothers push the fathers out unilaterally, and then do their level best to poison children against their own fathers. It is a very real social problem, and is compounded by your biased anti-father, pro-mom campaign.

It is particularly ironic in the face of the fact that Apolo Anton Ohno was sponsored by the Thanks Mom campaign, that his own

  • Thank you very much, waterrat69, for eloquently expressing the thoughts of millions of viewers who noticed the bias in this commercial.

  • Dear Rebecca and Kirk,

I read today that P&G is the proud sponsor of Olympic contenders Moms with its Thanks Mom campaign developed by W&K.

As a father, I am offended by this blatant, sexist, and deliberate slight to fathers. It compounds the social problem of the denigration of fathers, and is a very public statement that fathers are disposable, unnecessary, and irrelevant.

  • LOL!

  • So what? Does Proctor & Gamble think Dad's are unimportant too? I get so tired of Dad's being dissed and getting no respect. So I want to thank my dad for showing me how to be strong, for giving me courage, for demonstrating to me the kind of man I should marry by taking good care of my mom. Thank you for walking me down the aisle at my wedding, for all the long talks about life and for working so hard to make sure we had all the things we needed growing up. TO DAD. I LOVE YOU AND THANKS!!!!

  • I know!!! I mean, I love my mom, but I love my dad too and I thank them for whatever I am now. I might have been with my mom longer than my dad since he had to work in another country, but STILL...

  • LOL!

  • this was fcking adorable!!

  • Usually the Olympic commercials don't interest me much, but this one is just too great.

  • Hi, I got this e-mail from P&G: "Thanks for contacting P&G about our involvement in and sponsorship of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, Jay. We appreciate your interest! The agency that created the ad spot you referenced is Wieden + Kennedy (Portland). The song that's heard was created specifically for this commercial, so theres no name or title to download, etc.

  • Not all of the kids were junior Olympians. However, all were proficient in their sport. Most notable were the ski jumper, skeleton, speed skaters, and bob sledders. The spot was filmed in Salt Lake City, UT (site of the 2002 Olympics), and most of the kids came from sports clubs there. This information is OK to share. Hope it helps! Ruth P&G Team"

  • apolo dised in 500 can u imagine how many metals usa would win if not for corupt judges

  • ahh this one gets me a bit teary eyed. its sosweet.

  • hahahahahaha

  • Uhhh Shani Davis? 4 olympic medals? Black?

  • P&G

    Proud sponsor of MILFs

  • I love this commercial. They've had some great ones this time. Like the G.E. "Say Ah", and the AT&T "Perfect Day". Even the McDonalds one with the girls hockey team. Even though I can't stand McDonalds, it's still a really good commercial.

  • thats adorable!! :)

  • :29, she looks so little ;__;

  • Canada your moose and beaver brigade can't scare the USA .. RED WHITE and BLUE all the way, GO TEAM USA !!

  • Absolutely my favorite commercial of this Olympics. Bravo. Another example of how some of the best stuff on the TV are these 'special' commercials.

  • amen

  • 0:47 too!
