I remember seeing one show (or as much of it as I could stand) and it really did seem like the director must have been shouting at the cast members to try out act out emotions at random. They were (are?) horrible actors. They had no business being in front of a camera and thinking they could entertain ANYONE with even half a brain.

Thankfully, I dropped cable a short while after that.

@catra195 because if you noticed the dialogue on the reality shows is usually so fucking stupid that it is equivilant to their spazzing out. in other words, the spazzing out is there to show you that you are getting about as much insight from the sounds and faces as you would from a reality tv show's dialogue. lol, at the begining he said though, "you look nice" hahahaha so true! they look nice but the second they open their mouth it is revealed how disgustingly ignorant they are

I think what it's getting at is the long pauses that take place during a dramatic scene. Whenever a pause would happen, it's replaced by the gibberish and distortion. Watch this and imagine what it would be like without the gibberish, with just the pauses between talking...generic sitcom drama.
