  • John was the original manualist on the Tonight Show. He was quite a showman! In 2001, I along with Bruce Gaston and Jim Rotondo showed off our manualism as The Three Tendons. That video and our "Behind the scenes on the Tonight Show" are both up here. I was a guest with my Handwhistling back in 1979 on the Tonight Show. That video is also up. Thank you for posting this!

  • It would've been awesome if he played the piccolo solo too.

  • Gotta love those sport coats from those days.....

  • They just don't make hair like that anymore.

  • John Twomey is a riot. His facial expressions are the best part.

  • I saw this live and he was a guest on Carson and other talk shows many times. Unique talent, very funny and great. John Twomey was a lawyer and farted seven children...oops, I mean fathered seven. Wiki his name to learn more.

  • I grew up with his son. We just couldn't believe that we knew someone who had been on Carson.

  • @yell0wledbetter did he ever do any songs for u?

  • @derpdederp101 Sure, sure, once in a while.

  • Quality on this video much better than the others. Send to everyone who needs a laugh, and thanks for sharing!

  • That really is impressive.

  • This is one of my favorite Carson moments LMAO!!

  • I saw this when it first aired - I was 7 or 8 - seldom in my life have I laughed harder.
