some of it was ridiculous, too bright and tacky for haute couture...however that was one hell of a show! however real haute couture does actually allow the wearer to walk properly! really good collection with moments of genius! carmen dell-orefice looked beautiful as did the tall red glittery dress look!

i'd love to see Guo pei's process....i'm really in awe of her craft. Her work is so beautiful and elaborate, modern yet with obvious traditional chinese elements in the jewelry, shoes, and embroidery. The silouhuettes are otherworldly and fascinating.

Some of these dresses must be worth several hundred thousand...absolutely extravagant.

she definately gives American coutouriers a run for their money if not surpassing most of them....

I read an article about Guo Pei on Style magazine (I think it was Style or some fashion magazine here) . Lady Gaga's stylist actually borrowed clothes from her collections for the singer to look at, she loves all of it but unfortunately could not walk in those shoes lol. Look at her 2008 collection absolutely rivals Paris couture.
