  • Tout est dans le rythme, et quel virtuose.

  • 1:06 disc skipping

  • epic

  • This version, the digitally enhanced one, the poster calls Birds Feathers, the original analog one portrays Birds last phrase as being on top of Miles copying Bird's notes run, turning it into the pickup notes of his coming solo. An increase in master volume is another constant I've noticed in digital music. Records and cassette tapes are invariably lower than digital CDs in their uploaded volume. I just posted my own analog upload of this exact cut to show differences.

  • One of Jackie McLean's first albums was called Bird Feathers, and he and another Bird sound-alike jammed real good. The trumpet by the way is Miles Davis, with Duke Jordan (p), Tommy Potter (b), and Max Roach (d). They sure have upgraded the sound quality from the version I have on a cheap album I got in the early 60s, called The Early Bird. I like the poor quality one 'cause I got used to it.

  • Bird lives!

  • Brilliant, Still.

  • getting one of these feathers would be like gettin an eagles' feather

  • Che meraviglia!

  • it jammes

  • I lived in Kansas City for 3 years. Charlie is from KC, and has a huge statue around the Jazz Museum there. He was so unique. Thanks bro, you gave so much to music.

  • He makes it sound so easy doesn't he? Damn.

  • wow, i didnt hear that song yet.

thankyou man, bird lives or what!

  • who's that on the trumpet?

  • Yea this is one of the first Bird tunes I heard. Bird could say more in 2 choruses than one could in 11.

That's actually a good improv technique. Limit yourself to 2 solid choruses on tunes. It's almost like writing a short story with your solo rather than the usual autobiography LOL.

Can you still get to the point?

  • totally

  • i can dig it daddy-oh

shu bi du bop bop bop badadbop

  • lol

  • I love Charlie Parker. You taught me what jazz is.

  • When I was 21 I heard Parker. It was the first thing I'd heard that wasn't top 40 pop and I went down to my knees crying my eyes out. I was totally overcome. Nothing will ever touch me like that did. I bought a sax and played for 4hours a day for 7 years. Thanks Charlie. You have given the world so so much. Without you I'd be doing crime somewhere. Instead I'm looking out of the window with backing tracks on weaving through changes. Paradise!

  • That's deep man.

  • Sweet.

  • wow. thats amazing.

  • People don't understand how important this music is.

  • @oreojazz hehehehe it is true
