Sorry to hear about your troubles but, with due respect, If you had such a bad trip why do you still glorify drugs by perpetuating the myth that this song is about the dangerous drug LSD? Lennon himself said "Julian painted a picture at school. John asked him what it was & Julian said "It's Lucy (a school friend of Julian's who in the picture seems to be floating) in the sky with diamonds". In certain case drugs, chemical whatever we call it can be physicaly present in the metabolism for several weeks event month with fongus chemical. This was the case for me.. and also understand that the very little dose of bad mushroom the i use (was black the fongus turn in to a completely differant drugs or poison)

Isn't it kind of obvious why he would hide it? John Lennon was an EXTREMELY influential man...I mean, people basically worshipped him. He was aware of his influence, so he used it to keep kids away from drugs, because I think he realized (after writing and releasing the songs) that they were dangerous and he shouldn't encourage them.
