i know why its called jul. because wiccans have a holiday called "yule" and its kind of like christmas and has the same reasons to celebrate as christmas and thats why christians wnated the word kristmeese or what ever cuz they dont like wiccans much
omg this is so cool my mormor always makes the dinner on the 24 and than after dinnger and resilamnt we go to are house for present and sing and dance around the tree its really cool to see other people that celebrate it because none of my friends do because i live in canada, than on the 26-28 depending on the date we have a smorgesborg.
I am writing an article on Danish Christmas traditions, and as an American it makes me feel so honored to be studying culture and traditions in Denmark. I am definitely going to be incorporating Danish traditions into my family's Christmas celebrations.
Thank you so much for these videos. You are such an inspiration!
@Masteroth1 yes i hope i can stay there for many years,i have alot to study and do,specially the racing that is my passion.very hard languaje let me tell you I hope to find a good teacher heheh bye
haha I used the same song on my video! -and it was most definitely a white christmas -as in a freaking BLIZZARD. Thanks Ditte -I love your language -so musical.
@bunnycatch3r Aww, hi there. Awesome that you got a white x-mas... a blizzard, ey? That kinda sucks. I guess it can also be TOO MUCH of a white x-mas, hehehe.....
In Austrian folklore.. Krumpus was the horned monster who accompanied St. Niklaus on Christmas. If the child had been good, then St. Nick would give him a gift, but if he was bad.. Krumpus would take him away. Its a rather dark legend but then again.. so are most German tales!
I understand your feelings totally. Depression is rough and it's been rough since new years for me too. Hard just to get motivated just to eat. I hope you feel better.
I'm American, but my family is Danish; and I've always wondered if our traditions (the brown potatoes, finding the almond in the pudding and getting the gift) was just our family, but I guess all of Denmark participates!
your brother single? ;) hahahah!
