  • omg this is so cool my mormor always makes the dinner on the 24 and than after dinnger and resilamnt we go to are house for present and sing and dance around the tree its really cool to see other people that celebrate it because none of my friends do because i live in canada, than on the 26-28 depending on the date we have a smorgesborg.

  • I HATE Brune Kartofler! xD

  • I am writing an article on Danish Christmas traditions, and as an American it makes me feel so honored to be studying culture and traditions in Denmark. I am definitely going to be incorporating Danish traditions into my family's Christmas celebrations.

Thank you so much for these videos. You are such an inspiration!

  • That's so awesome!!!!! Say hello to your grandmother for me, heheh - it's always nice to see someone keeping traditions alive. :-)

  • Here in California USA, my grandmother is Danish and we do a danish chirstmas, celebrate on the eve, even light candles on the tree.

  • @bunnycatch3r Aww, hi there. Awesome that you got a white x-mas... a blizzard, ey? That kinda sucks. I guess it can also be TOO MUCH of a white x-mas, hehehe.....

    and thank you!!!

  • jul...wie auf Englisch jul-tide lol

    enjoyed watching as usual..

don't let Krumpus get you! (even though that's austrian hehe)

    have a happy 2010 :)

  • @nitsamu Hi there! Thank you so much!! Krumpus? Is that like Grinchen or something? Hahaha.

  • In Austrian folklore.. Krumpus was the horned monster who accompanied St. Niklaus on Christmas. If the child had been good, then St. Nick would give him a gift, but if he was bad.. Krumpus would take him away. Its a rather dark legend but then again.. so are most German tales!

  • As always, great video..... I think the rice, butter, and cinnamon dish sounds damn yummy.. Happy New Year to you!

  • @dtr0005 Thank you so much, I appreciate it. :-)

    Happy new year's to u 2!

  • Hi there, I had a good x-mas..... my new year's wasn't so great, I was so depressed... :(

  • I understand your feelings totally. Depression is rough and it's been rough since new years for me too. Hard just to get motivated just to eat. I hope you feel better.

  • @novaapw Yea, I feeel better now. Thanx so much, dearie. Hope you're alright too.

  • Rice porridge <3 god I love danish food.

  • Awesomeness

  • this was such a great video!

I'm American, but my family is Danish; and I've always wondered if our traditions (the brown potatoes, finding the almond in the pudding and getting the gift) was just our family, but I guess all of Denmark participates!

    :)

  • Thank you. Yes, we do indeed! :-)
