I am just beginning to learn about Sikhism, and I find myself really understanding what he is saying. Every question that is posed to him, his response (as I interpret it) is to reflect it back to the person who is asking. I like that Guruka Singh encourages you to search for your own answers and to look within yourself and the universe and God (Waheguru) will reveal the answer to you...and you will interpret that answer for yourself. I just love it.
Actually Guru Nanak was not born a Sikh. Why? Because Sikhism was established in 1699 by Guru gobind Singh. No one on this earth cannot say that Guru Nanak was a Sikh because there was no such thing as Sikhism during his time.
This muppet say's everyone is born a Sikh. But if that was the case then why is it that Sikhism is only 500 years old and hence the youngest religion. What about the people before Sikhism? Where they born Sikhs?
@f1yb1rd33 lol u didnt get it did ya,SIKH is a name that is given,,,WAS given 500 years ago to a religion, but if u look at any newly born child.......and leave him at his natural state.....no haircuts , no shave, no worldly lies.....no attachments.......guess what he is going to look like or be like? damn right!!!! A SIKH!!
hope this helped........but the stuff GURUKA SINGH is talking about is not everyone's cup of tea.......but you go GURUKA SIngh.......because you are truly A GURU KA SINGH
No your mis understanding the concept. If you leave a new born child at his natural state no hair cuts no shave no attachments then he will be dewlling upon the filth and thus be in an unhygienic state.
Where your misunderstanding the concept is the reason why Sikhs do not cut there hair is because Guru Gobind Singh ordered all the sikhs to not cut there hair to gain independance from the opposing moghal empire which may have been oppressing them.
I like the way he said 'why am i a Sikh in this lifetime' other major religions do not believe in reincarnation but that would be a very unfair life for some and gifted for others it makes no sense in a celestial system.
We need to know many states of life and consciousness to grow and develop spiritually towards God, which one lifetime could never master.
The question I would like to hear discussed though is 'What is a Sikh'.
Well Said .....
