  • gorgeous!

  • His TOMAHAWK cd with 'God hates a Coward'-'FLASHBACK'-'Rotgut;' w/the bassist from the melvins, guitar from The Jesus Lizard & drummer from Helmet-i can just say checking out the live performance of both 'God Hates...'& 'Flashback' will get your blood flowing!

  • Faith No More's successful foray into sludge metal.

  • love the changes in this and the low dark vocals...superb!!!

  • Mike Patton = Buckethead of sinning

  • 1:25 dat scream

  • @TheDjangoMoore um

    no

  • @TheDjangoMoore yeah, btbam's cover is amazing.

  • These guys fucking suck. No talent at al. My whiny ass bitch little 9 year old cousin makes better songs when she flaps her vagina than this.

  • @killersteve17 Lol, they do not suck. They're a phenomenal band. If they suck so much then why look them up on Youtube?

  • @WiddleLauren I actually looked up shittiest band ever, and this was one of the results.

  • @killersteve17 I love FNM, but I couldn't help but to laugh at that haha. Naww they aren't shitty, really. They're different, yeah. But not shitty.

  • @WiddleLauren Actually, I listened to some other songs, and some are okay. But this one is just...aweful

  • @killersteve17 Eeeeeh I guess it's more of an acquired taste.

  • @killersteve17 I looked up 17 year old dumbasses that think they know everything about music and your name came up as a result.

  • Puffy is the fuggin man :D

  • FAITH NO MORE IS THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!! FUCK YA!

  • I have absolutely got to have this album. It's awesome! Either I had it and lost it or something. All the songs floor me!

  • Applause, applause, applause, APPLAUUUUUUUUUUSEEEEE!

  • Much love to these guys. Music like this is what got me through those shitty high school days.

  • LOl.. everyone talks about Mike Patton as if it was his band. They already released their first album before they ever even heard of the guy. Of course, it was a garage band and sounded like one, but they were already on their way when Patton stepped up to bat as singer. SO THERE!

  • @dragontooth81 we know that.....but Patton butchers mosely

  • @dragontooth81 Are you kidding? Introduce Yourself is an amazing album, so many great songs. Yeah, Patton is amazing but you can't say the band sounded like a "garage band" before he entered.

  • 2:24-2:50 my favorite part <3

  • Great album, released a day before I was born

  • I think this is the 1st song Patton ever wrote by himself. You can see all the signs of his emerging mad genius: unexpected contrasts, Kronos Quartet samples, creepy themes of surgery he would later explore with Fantomas ... in short, ever reason you would not allow Patton to teach kindergarten.

  • @TheZenoEffect You're close. It's about a woman who inserts objects in her vagina, because she likes to feel the doctors' hands removing them.

That's the reason of the name (it's a common term in medicine, only that this time, applied to the patient, not the doctor haha)

  • How the hell does Mike Patton do those shrieks? They're far better than any black metal shriek/squawk I've ever heard.

  • 2.30 <3

  • I was not even born when this album was released. I just hate it when people say my generation has no taste in music. Yeah, the general population maybe. But I for one take offense to that. Only nine-tenths of my generation listens to Justin Bieber. The other tenth listens to good shit like Faith No More, The Melvins, and Primus. All of those bands, by the way, produced their best stuff before I was born. And even though I am only finding out good music now, I found it nonetheless.

  • @uiruu THE MELVINS, PRIMUS?! as a fellow child of this generation, I just wanna say, YOUR TASTE RULES. why can't there be more of us? :(

  • @SwissCheeseHeart22 Thanks! I have a pretty wide taste in music... but if you like Primus and the Melvins, and FNM obviously since you're on this video. you have a good taste in music as well.

  • @uiruu You're right, man!! I'm from "your generation" too, I love Faith No More and Primus, I like the Melvins. I also like a lot The Velvet Underground, Deftones and Led Zeppelin

  • @TheZenoEffect

nope...you're mixing it up with the Fantômas Delìrium Còrdia album.

  • anthologic , simply

  • God, what Faith No More song DOESN'T suck?...oh yeah, the covers of them-_-

  • @SicStoneknot wtf would you look this up then you fucking troll

  • @nelsoncards ...what!? Troll? I'm saying that bands covering FMN suck...what the hell's your problem dude?

  • @SicStoneknot lol ok but read the way you worded your comment.

you said "DOESNT suck" meaning that the covers of the FNM songs are good.

but sory for the troll comment my bad

  • @nelsoncards Ahhh, I see. My bad as well, sorry bro.

  • Sick.... just completely sick.

  • The reason its so choice is cause patton wrote the whole song himself!!! Only one on the album!

  • the first two and a half minutes are brutal, and that is followed by an excellent minute and a half, this band never fails me. faith no more are the most experimental and deep metal band there was, and mike patton's talents never seem to end

  • @LukeGNR94

Nice comment, but I suggest that you check out Mike Patton's first band; Mr. Bungle. It's even more experimental than Faith No More, but nevertheless an amazing band, and so is this... Actually everything that Patton produces comes out like gold and diamonds! :)

  • @Brollyhero99TOP10 Dude, Ive been a Bungle fan for a long time! I am obsessed with every one of Patton's projects. Bungle, FNM, Tomahawk, Fantomas, Mondo Cane and Peeping Tom! He rocks

  • @LukeGNR94

    Yes! Definitely! :)

  • @LukeGNR94 you 4got Dillinger's Esc. and John ZORN.

and stuff with his pal Buckethead...

  • @LukeGNR94 I couldnt agree with you more

  • @LukeGNR94 try tool

  • @sickolinokio ive tried tool, didnt cut it for me

  • Just like the beautiful CD cover art vs the back sleeve of Animal carcasses on hooks

  • FNM is more metal than metal

  • Why the hell are people takling about Coldplay here? Just listen to the damn music you came here for.

  • have you heard between the buried and me cover this? it's pretty tight

  • @TicalWave89 Yes, it is.

  • Angel dust is my favorit album, malpractice, my favorit song !

    Such a clever, brutal, tripping , flipping , f ... number !

  • Wow... Mushroomhead kinda ripped this bands sound off. Mushroomhead had a few good songs but now that I am more into Faith No More, Mushroomhead aren't the slightest original. They ripped off Gwar with their image and ripped off Faith No More with their sound.

  • Knuckle White -- Ruffle White =D

  • Fierce....eclectic....ahead of its time...everything that embodies Mike Patton...fuckin' fearless.

  • Mike Patton rules!!!

  • NO ONE IS AS GOOD AS FAITH NO MORE (APPLAUSE APPLAUSE APPLAUSE)

  • mike patton has the midas touch. everything he touches turns to gold!

  • It's almost 2011 and this album is like it was recorded yesterday. Nothing current can keep up with this.

  • My god music does not get better than this...fucking eargasms!!!!!!!! :)

  • im just not feeling this one. midlife crisis was amazing though. even though i dont really like them much i think that these guys where so important to music as we know it.

  • Mondo Cane is a bliss xxx Flo W....

  • Stop talking about Patton, this is a BAND.

  • @BadMotherTrucker Yeah Great band xxx Flo W....

  • @BadMotherTrucker indeed

  • favourite album of all the time

  • This is the first time I've actually heard the Faith no More version of this song(yes I know it's their song, but I've only heard of it). At any rate it sounds awesome, can anyone recommend an album of their that would be accessible to someone who's never really listened to this band? I would like to start getting into them.

  • @mrtle5 I can very much recommend Angel Dust and its predecessor, The Real Thing.

  • @mrtle5 Their first album was without Patton,Chuck Mosley was the singer but good stuff too. All FNM albums are worth listening to,really good .Listen to Mr Bungle,Fantomas, are other Patton bands and he has a new one cant remember the name right now

  • Mike Patton is the most underrated musician of my time......

  • @DanglinSausage LMAO. is that a joke right? everyone who thinks that knows about music likes Patton, he is overrated.

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA Show me the recognition they have gotten since 1986, U sure about everyone??Being a little delusional there shiteater.Oh your from mexico, thats a whole nother planet. No wonder you sound retarded.Get real numbnutz Go back and listen to Selena cause you dont know shit.

  • @DanglinSausage you dont know any more musicians?

  • This track is just fucking awesome the Lyrics 'cured discharge reach back inside' real serial killer shit, then it fires into some kind of Hitchcock crack music fucking massive makes you feel powerfull listening to it!

Knuckle white, Muffle White. Amazing!!!!!! 2.58 goes proper Hitchcock love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • coldplay sucks chocolate salty balls wtf??

  • I'm currently loving "Suicide Note: Part II" by Pantera, even though I'm not a fan of the band. That song reminded me of this one though.

Brilliant album, brilliant band, brilliant song.

Songs like these get me thinking if I should give Thrash Metal a chance. Anyone got any suggestions?

  • @hailiamdigby try BTBAM they're not thrash more prog/jazz/death metal but the music is epic

  • @NOBAMAftw BTBAM sucks

  • @NOBAMAftw haha good try kid, callig Melvins and Kyuss fags bands but being a BTBAM fan (hot garbage) keep trying

  • Saw Faith No More on the 22nd of Feb 2010 after waiting since I was 9!!! 21 years!!!!!!!!! Best fuckin show ever! They played this song and I may aswell have died :P Fave FNM song ever!!!

  • a little mr. bungle influence in parts of this song...

  • @GrizzlTooth yeah only this album came out before mr bungle was even being thought about

  • @TheBraleys

actually Mr. Bungle has been together for a long time and I think Patton was in Bungle before he even joined FNM. Correct me if i am wrong, but Bungle had an album or two released before Angel Dust.

  • @GrizzlTooth that's right, bungle were around way before fnm. mike became most famous from fnm and then introduced bungle when he became noticed enough

  • @TheBraleys watch the video for epic and tell me what shirt mike is wearing. when did that album come out again?

  • @TheBraleys um, Mr. Bungle formed in 1985 and recorded 4 demos (Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny, Goddammit I Love America, Bowl of Chiley, and OU818) before Patton joined FNM in 1989.

  • The sample part of the third movement of Shostakovich's quartet for string fits well for this song i think

  • No one can cover FNM and sound better. NO ONE!

  • i LOVE Faith No More, but i must admit that Between the Buried and Me's cover is a hundred times better

  • @SimpleMan008 Thank goodness you wrote this. I was concerned I was the only one who felt that way... and I was concerned.

How did this happen? I find Mike Patton quite superior to BTMAM!

  • Don't ever say FNM is not metal. This band cross genres but they are a metal band who unlike others, were very experimental and sounded original. Mike Patton started as a metal kid and he has done a shit load of other good stuff, but his metal side is still with him. He sings with an orchestra and it shits all over these new metal fakes who only focused on being heavy than actually playing any music. There's nothing I like more than heaviness, but add something more to it.

  • @Stampit88 Patton said: I don't have time to think about genre while im making music. If you have time to put my music in genres feel free to do it, its up to you!

  • @Stampit88 Sorry, I love Faith No More but they are not a metal band. They are an experimental alt/rock band.

  • @UnshackledMind86 maybe with this album, but The real thing is metal start to finish (with few non metallic moments), especially the song Surprise you're dead.

  • @UnshackledMind86 This, and Jizzlobber were deathmetal influenced. Godflesh's sound influenced this song though. FNM take on every genre, but all the guys in the band (- Roddy) had a background in metal. Besides the soul, alternative, country, jazz, r&b, and rock songs, the rest are heavy. In 1992 angeldust tour, if those headbangers, chaotic mosh pits, solos + Patton growling/screaming, was a rock show... then my ears deceive me. Experimental/alt metal suits them best. FNM are their own genre.

  • best FNM album hands down

  • killer steve, for me music is about emotion, FNM are huge for a reason mike patton is talented and versitile search his stuff, hes got something for everyone, he will be remembered, he doesn't get called genius and a god for nothing, classical is great too, not trying to battle you mate, i respect your views, i just have really wide ranging tastes and it works for me, btw cold play annoy the hell out of me ha ha ha

  • 2:34 i dont care what anybody says, but this part makes this song all the better

  • @xGUITARxMANIACx It doesn't make it better it just fuckin makes it.

  • patton said this song is "about a lady who goes to a surgeon and she's getting operated on and she realizes she likes the surgeon's hand inside of her. She doesn't even care about being cured, she just wants someone's hands inside of her - she gets addicted to that."

  • ha. classic.

  • thanks for that, now you've totally ruined the song for me.

    APPLAUSEAPPLAUSEAPPLAUSEAPPLAUSEAPPLAUSE

  • @PLAYB3YOND33 - that's kind of an expensive method of gratification wouldn't you agree?

  • @salgamripper Heh heh...you can't put a price on inner fulfillment.

  • @killersteve17 You do realize, that Beethoven and Mozart and others like them were Pop Music of their time? FNM is not Pop Music. So who gives a shit if they're remembered 200 years later? They're appreciated now. Really. Genghis Khan is remembered, and he was a psychotic murderer and rapist. "...And when you die, you'll become

    Something worse

    Than dead-

    You'll become

    A legend..."

  • @killersteve17

Funny how this album was released almost 20 years ago, and people still remember and love it.

  • @wilso666 Funny how I posted that comment almost 2 years ago and people are still talking about it.

  • mike is god. simple as that.

  • @scottlandjay agreed. why did this become a coldplay forum?

  • Fucking love those eerie bells in this track!

  • Will you losers stop talking? Coldplay suck the big one. This band is so much better.

  • @crieff405 Coldplay sucks...Faith no More kicked all 90's rock band asses...Faith no More rules forever they are the best rock band ever,Midlife Crisis is my favorite song

  • @Andymalcolm1 you are a FUCKING IDIOT THEN. fnm cant even touch Kyuss and Melvins Glory

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA Cant believe im arguing with a guy named shit eater.Eat shit shitface

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA I hope you die fagg, fuck off, FNM 4 LIFE KUNTY...

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA Kyuss just sounds like most other 80s hard rock... Nothing special about them. While Faith No More influenced Alternative/Nu Metal creation. They basically created those genres of music.

  • @superblahmanofdoom clean your ears faggot, nothing sounds like kyuss, and everything sounds like fnm, you fucking idiot with no life and less friends, nu metal? big deal, that shit sucks and so does fnm

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA Name one band that sounds like this and i'll respect the fact you eat shite.

  • @superblahmanofdoom Wrong on so many levels. Faith no more created faith no more, they cant help it if souless talentless hacks site them as an influence. It doesn't mean they created Alternative metal or linkin park. alternative to what exactly?an alternative to bad music maybe. Kyuss were fucking amazing and sound nothing like any 80's rock band........yeesh just enjoy and stop replying to people called mexican shit eater, his taste comes from the same place as his food, his ass!

  • @TomithyTTomilson

I didn't read the rest of the argument but I agree that FNM are awesome and that they didn't set out with the intention to spawn awful bands, also Kyuss is awesome too. They are both unique in very different ways.

  • @Idey1994 Both equally amazing too.

  • @MEXICANOcomeCACA both those bands are gay non-productive non-innovative fag bands

  • @crieff405

    fucking yeah!!!

  • @crieff405 Haha Coldplay, what a joke. what a bunch of no talent having fags.

  • @crieff405 I want to give more thumbs up for this one :)

  • Comment removed

  • @crieff405 Coldplay is a fucking commercial band, who play fucking commercial songs

Coldplay ---- (comparation) - Faith no More

    that is not a comparation

  • @crieff405

Don't bash other bands... Just.. Don't....

  • @crieff405 I accidentally gave you thumbs down. I feel guilty.

  • this reminds me of nirvana and alice in chains

  • @DeathSledge How?Those bands have little in common with faith no more but they are good

  • I wonder who Mike Patton is producing nowadays.

  • they were most deffinately gods of metal...so very killer...

  • gods yes, but of metal? thats debatable.

  • no matter what genre Mike Patton does, he aces at it.

everything mike patton touches turns to gold. his metal pwns that of any shit-faced douchebag metal wannabe,

mike patton is the god of music, therefore he reigns over metal.

  • @TrannyAcid: Lol I never said I like LP. I just said they're better than this song. Hell I even said Midlife Crisis, made by FNM, is good.

And nah, I Iiked Metallica better with longer hair.

Megadeth has about 3 great songs. Mustaine is just insane and fires half the band every time they make a new album.

@poksemoto420: Yeahhh you might want to at least learn how to spell before you try and slay me.

  • well good for you, i personally couldn't give a shit how the band looks. if james hetfield still had long hair at his age, he'd look like a complete fool.

i just find it weird how you reply to my comment saying "sorry, but.... megadeth, metallica linkin park are better than these guys"

when it's all just opinion, to me heavy metal can be more than just fast chords and pointless shredding,

but to most people, metal is all about fast chords and pointless shredding

  • LOL get teh fuck attta herre you linkin park homo

  • @TrannyAcid agreed one hundred %

  • 10 lovers violating

best line in the song cuz of how perverted it sounds lol

  • The best FNM album of them all.

I remember seeing them in 1989. Patton was wearing a McDonalds employee uniform complete with name tag.

  • coldplay?!?! come on faggots...

  • kids behave!

  • APPLAAAAAAAAUSE

  • yay Faith No More..fudge all the Coldplay drama just enjoy the smooth sounds of FNM

  • How has it come that Coldplay and Faith No More are being mentioned in the same comments? They are two very different bands. I like a variety of stuff from Kate Bush to Neurosis but Coldplay and their sheer level of tedious monotone dullite pap frankly bore me to tears. But, it's all personal taste at the end of the day I guess.

  • killersteve17 you need to get your head out of your arse, coldplay are mainstream crap their music smells like your breath SHITE.

  • oh yea and dont forget that britney spear can make 70,000 persons stadium and lots of spermy grammies..

  • hehe, i would like to see more bands, all styles, making interesting music, yea beatles sucked in red n blue albums, paul said so too. i cant say if i am or not a contrarian, thx for the definition, im just tired of thinking that attractive music is more n more rare, and nothing is showing me the contrary yet.

  • I just think you take it for granted. If you lived in a world with no music, and suddenly coldplay came out of nowhere, you'd probably think it was the most beautiful thing you've ever heard.

  • indeed

  • yo if you hate this song so much why would you post 20 fuckin times on it... like what your going to turn FNM fans away cause you dont like it? gtfo

  • if coldplay "writes and performs all their music" then why get sued by Joe Walsh for stealing his music?? coldplay sucks and you suck

  • you're an idiot. listen to the joe walsh song vs coldplay. they sound NOTHING alike, which is why they won that trial in five minutes. Nice try though.

  • hey idiot howard stern played them back to back 20 years apart and the rythum is the same do ur homework before u bother me u fucking retard
