  • Anyone out there have Micheal performing this on "Soundstage" (same show as Marshall Tucker Band, I believe)?

  • does any body remember a band called Home Cookin;'?

  • Hey... is this the same michael smotherman who wrote "Just Can't Turn my Habit Into Love"?

  • what a great song, I have had the chance to write with Michael, he is a great guy and an amazing talent, and I think he took pitty on a couple fellow okies,..Tim Bays..the Bays Brothers

  • I believe he was inspired about the Irish situation, as I remember, annerackham.

  • i grew up in the same small town as michael

smotherman, in fact he's my 2nd cousin. i got

to see him a lot. great seeing my cuz has a couple of videos. roger miller and sheb wooley are also from the same small town in west oklahoma. his whold family is very talented at music. great to see this.

  • It brings back some hard memories...of the Bottle Rocket War of the 80's.

I first saw this video on USA Network's NIGHT FLIGHT back in the early eighties. The video doesn't hold up but the song sure does. I have the LP around here somewhere. Yes, all the songs on the album entitled MICHAEL SMOTHERMAN were under-rated. Not a weak cut on it.

  • This may look a little "silly", but the lyrics are heartfelt. I've always thought this was about the Irish Revolution. There was nothing silly about "the troubles". Check your history books.

It's great to see Bucky Smotherman. The album which had both these tunes was so under-rated. Great songwriter! I remember him from a fantastic road band called Sound Circus- from the 60s and from Roger Miller's band. Wonderful singer and monster keys!

  • I like Michael Smotherman

Thank you for posting this where did you find this

  • I got this off of a 3/4" videotape that the record company sent to the record store where my wife of 25 years and I met. The tape had two videos, this and "Crazy In Love" and I dubbed both to VHS. I checked YouTube and found "Crazy" was up, but not this one. So I thought I'd share.

  • Thank you for shareing the video with us

  • Thanks. I saw this only one time in the 80s on Night Flight and have been wanting to see it again ever since. It really feels good to be reconnected with a memory that just won't go away.
