@juliesmama1 We do suggest steaming, however it has potential dangers related to the vaporization of chemicals; it can also cause mold growth. So be careful. Steaming is a great natural way of getting rid of bed bugs, but steaming cannot deep within cracks and crevices (another source where bed bugs usually reside)

Dont be silly, you cant use DDT. Not only does it nuke non pests but causes birth defects in the mammals and fish that eat the bugs. Personally I think using poisons is foolhardy and detrimental, nature has shown us she can adapt to anything we can throw at her, so it wont be long before we have poison resistant B bugs. My solution as long as the infestation isnt to bad, is to vaccuum them up in a hand held POWERFUL dust buster with a canister, and freeze the bastards when done. Problem solved

@anteaterpest actually its kinda funny, but it worked! by accident, there was a lot of bedbugs in my room and i was bitten 100s of time. what happened is that a friend of mine gave me a used VCR inside it there was some cockroaches which i didnt know about, one night i saw a cockroach fighting a bedbug fiercely and then the cockroach won the fight, so i decided to feed the cockroaches so i could get rid of the notorious bedbugs and it WORKED! so know i have cockroaches but i dont have bedbugs ct

The problem with bed bugs and their re-infestation of homes is the eggs. They can survive for up to 18 months before they have to hatch. The bed bugs themselves can survive 4-5 months without a blood meal. You could have an infested piece of luggage in storage and it will still contain bed bugs that when you bring it back out will begin to attack you again. Most chemical sprays do not kill the eggs and hence the need for other products such as steam cleaning or freezing them to death.

I just saw a bed bug picked it up with my fingers and immediately squeezed my fingers together. I could still feel it move. I dropped it on a book and it was still normal. Grabbed a troffee don't know how to spell it and tried to squish it. Two legs stopped working and it still could move. This time slower. I used bug spray and it may have killed it or it died from the previous squishs pain.

the main ingredient in the "bed bug powder" is crystal silica which is in cat litter....buy cat litter(make sure it is with the crystal silica) and grind it to a fine powder and you wont have anymore bed bugs in a few weeks! it works great.the silica cuts through their exoskeletal bodies and dehydrates them which kills them. This really works...try it...what do you have to lose..a couple of bucks?

Well, bed bugs are not only on your beds...they hide behind baseboards along the walls, in night stands, alarm clocks, electrical outlets, etc. and something else you have to remember is that bed bugs travel by foot (no wings) so the first place you want to put it is around the legs of your bed and around the legs of your head/foot board. Next lift your mattress and scatter a layer on your box springs (first make sure you grind it up really fine)

Now,if you don't have a mattress cover buy one..spread a layer under it too because you want more then just a sheet between you and the powder.Make sure you sprinkle some around all of the places I mentioned they hide too. Oh....when I used it in my home (with gloves on) I just put some in my hand and scattered it. It really does work and if you put it around & on the legs of your bed, you will be able to tell a difference the first night. Hope I answered all ur questions...Good Luck!

It must be daytime. They are trying to sleep. Bedbugs insist on sleeping during the day and don't respond to disturbances. They just move and go back to sleep.
