@juliesmama1 We do suggest steaming, however it has potential dangers related to the vaporization of chemicals; it can also cause mold growth. So be careful. Dizz there's 0 proof that DDT harms animal's. DDT saved over 500 million lives from malaria in south America. You know zero facts about DDT your regurgitating hippy myths.
99% rubbing alcohol sprayed on them dries out adults and eggs. Getting rid of your bed and sleeping in a hammock will eliminate their food source. It can take a year or more for them to die on their own without food but if you spray areas they are likely to be in a few times a week and they are unable to reproduce, you will eliminate them from your home.
@dogsgone Dont forget how it sustained the bubonic plague. Dogsgone, good point but did you forgot why it was banned in the first place? DDT is a health hazard and during the prime time of its acceptance, we were risking our lives and other species as well.
Dont be silly, you cant use DDT. Not only does it nuke non pests but causes birth defects in the mammals and fish that eat the bugs. Personally I think using poisons is foolhardy and detrimental, nature has shown us she can adapt to anything we can throw at her, so it wont be long before we have poison resistant B bugs. My solution as long as the infestation isnt to bad, is to vaccuum them up in a hand held POWERFUL dust buster with a canister, and freeze the bastards when done. Problem solved
@dinglenutzz Freeze technology (Cryonite) has become the preferred method of prevent and removing bed bugs. However, I would be kidding myself and our clients if I told them we could prevent bed bugs without the use of any chemicals. Picking the right products to use and using them effectively (following the application steps) will be your best option in getting rid of bed bugs.
If you decide to hire a company, be careful who you choose and what methods they try to sell you. Do your research!

@anteaterpest actually its kinda funny, but it worked! by accident, there was a lot of bedbugs in my room and i was bitten 100s of time. what happened is that a friend of mine gave me a used VCR inside it there was some cockroaches which i didnt know about, one night i saw a cockroach fighting a bedbug fiercely and then the cockroach won the fight, so i decided to feed the cockroaches so i could get rid of the notorious bedbugs and it WORKED! so know i have cockroaches but i dont have bedbugs ct
@anteaterpest but i know for sure its a lot easier to get rid of bedbugs than cockroaches, since then i never been bitten by bedbugs, i also heard that mice eat bedbugs but im not sure about that. im not saying that u should fill ur house with cockroaches LOL, but this is my story i myself would rather have a million cockroaches than having one bedbug in my room, if u like the idea subscribe ,

has anybody had any success treating an entire house with heat to get rid of bed bugs? because rather than chemicals i would like to treat the whole house rathar than a room or two, just to be safe.
@JerseyGuy381 if you do this with an exterminator, it could possibly cost up to $500 PER ROOM! however, prolonged heat is the only way to do it, really. look into diatomacious earth, i heard that works a bit
@Destinyteen One of our customers was quoted $3000.00 for bed bug removal! It can get very expensive. In addition, exterminators often over charge nowadays due to the economy. So be careful. We suggest "do it yourself" pest control products. Chec out our site.
The problem with bed bugs and their re-infestation of homes is the eggs. They can survive for up to 18 months before they have to hatch. The bed bugs themselves can survive 4-5 months without a blood meal. You could have an infested piece of luggage in storage and it will still contain bed bugs that when you bring it back out will begin to attack you again. Most chemical sprays do not kill the eggs and hence the need for other products such as steam cleaning or freezing them to death.
What is the point of this video? That bedbugs are attracted to styrofoam???? You got Co2 coming out of there somewhere?? Anteaterpest tell us how you got them wanting to stay on..
it's pretty funny how most youtube video's follow the stock footage/ shitty rap-techno-numetal soundtrack/ bad spelling/ improper grammar ingredient list. and this seems like its supposed to be an advertisement? "hard kill bed bug, bed bug too strong, most do not working but we try bed bug to kill but so smart, bed bug smarter than we!".
@aprofax Perhaps the advertiser is a clever Chinese guy who's tossed up a video of him poking at a piece of his bed thinking "OH GRASSHOPPER!! I MAKE VERY BIG MONEY WITH VIDEO AND POTION!!!" Just maybe he'll be able to move where there are no bedbugs..
Hi, I found two bed bugs five days ago, it was in the pillow, so i threw it out rite away, and checked the blankets there was also some kinda stains and i think there was shells in there? so i threw it out also, bedroom have two bed, clutters every where, so i didn't flip the beds to check thoroughly for it. u metion that your spray works fine, can you tell me what spray u used and have you called for an exterminator to help for u did it yourself? thank you!
I just saw a bed bug picked it up with my fingers and immediately squeezed my fingers together. I could still feel it move. I dropped it on a book and it was still normal. Grabbed a troffee don't know how to spell it and tried to squish it. Two legs stopped working and it still could move. This time slower. I used bug spray and it may have killed it or it died from the previous squishs pain.
the main ingredient in the "bed bug powder" is crystal silica which is in cat litter....buy cat litter(make sure it is with the crystal silica) and grind it to a fine powder and you wont have anymore bed bugs in a few weeks! it works great.the silica cuts through their exoskeletal bodies and dehydrates them which kills them. This really works...try it...what do you have to lose..a couple of bucks?
@teapartyne1: that's pretty damn interesting and cool, if it works....so what, you just put a nice layer of it on the mattress underneath your bedsheets, or what? how do you apply it?
Well, bed bugs are not only on your beds...they hide behind baseboards along the walls, in night stands, alarm clocks, electrical outlets, etc. and something else you have to remember is that bed bugs travel by foot (no wings) so the first place you want to put it is around the legs of your bed and around the legs of your head/foot board. Next lift your mattress and scatter a layer on your box springs (first make sure you grind it up really fine)
Now,if you don't have a mattress cover buy one..spread a layer under it too because you want more then just a sheet between you and the powder.Make sure you sprinkle some around all of the places I mentioned they hide too. Oh....when I used it in my home (with gloves on) I just put some in my hand and scattered it. It really does work and if you put it around & on the legs of your bed, you will be able to tell a difference the first night. Hope I answered all ur questions...Good Luck!
that's awesome. I don't have any, but my cousin from ny has a roommate who brought those pests with her when she moved into the apt. (nice, huh?) I'll forward the advice to him. THANKS!
Teapartyne: Did you try any other beg bug products? and about treating the mattress then put a mattress cover, if you want to do the treatment again like a few weeks after, do you take the cover off and apply the powder on, and put it back on or u just leave it on and apply the powder on the other areas?
I hope you never get this. OMG. The apartment I moved into in Feb 2009 had them. We lost out matresses, sofa, love seat, sleep, time from work, son lost time from school. Son refuses to sleep in his room. UGH.... Pain...
lol yeh i got emm,,i live in hawaii and over here its like real problem , most of the folks i know have the same problem to diffent degrees any ideas as to how to get rid of the basterds.???. so far its just my bed and probably my couch...
It must be daytime. They are trying to sleep. Bedbugs insist on sleeping during the day and don't respond to disturbances. They just move and go back to sleep. During the night they would flee like crazy. Bedbugs are active in the evening and night. See my videos about silica gel cat litter homemade bedbug powder.
Bedbugs are disgusting parasites, but they are also sort of interesting. You were prodding one of them so much that at 1:58 it got frustrated and walked away. Also, I noticed that they don't like to be turned upside down.
